Actually thinking about it the relationship between Dong Zhou and Lu Bu are basically Ghorth the Cruel and Zhatan the Black, Tyrant ruler that is less of a warrior and his mega soldier general that serves him.

Killed thousands of innocent civilians & officials on suspicion of disloyalty. Including the entire clan of the leader of the Coalition who opposed him that he could find in Louyang. Captured enemy soldiers reportedly tortured so horrifically it caused a loss of morale among Coalition forces. 3. Destroyed so many valuable works of bronze art to make coins that he actually caused inflation to the point of the currency being considered worthless. Not to mention the countless other arts and treasures he raided to prop up his coffers. 4. Staged tortures in the middle of his banquets, which peaked with the still living mess of a person being tossed with his detached parts into a pot of boiling oil. Resulting cooked "meatball" displayed like *art* in front of guests (who understandably lost their appetite).

I really love how he turns and laughs as Lu Bu walks up the stairs and regards him, and then they both walk arrogantly away as he laughs. They are both such bad-a's. I look forward to playing as both of them and tearing up the three kingdoms. Also, quite sad for the delay now that this video released. After Warhammer, have had a hard time getting back into Total War History, but this one is exciting me a lot. Guess I'll go play Dynasty Warriors 8 for now.

I would imagine it is a variation on the same lyrics they have been using in conjunction with their own orchestration. The usual lyrics are drawn from the poem "The Old Soldier's Return" and can be translated to " I joined the army and fighting when I was 15, and finally came back home when I was 80." As his death time came when he was beaten by Cao Cao, he begged to survive while his strategist Chen Gong refused to surrender and executed by Cao Cao unwillingly.
Dong Zhuo is a locked faction, you can only play as him if you either defeat him or become emperor. Rome 1 and Medieval 2 had a similar system of "beat the faction and you unlock them in a new game", but they dropped that mechanic. Probably because if you ever uninstalled Rome 1 or Medieval 2, you'd have to start again from scratch, and that is incredibly frustrating in games that easily take weeks to finish.

I would imagine it is a variation on the same lyrics they have been using in conjunction with their own orchestration. The usual lyrics are drawn from the poem "The Old Soldier's Return" and can be translated to " I joined the army and fighting when I was 15, and finally came back home when I was 80." I expected the Dong, but I was not ready for the Dong to be a mechanic that haven't been used since Medieval 2.
What is this mechanic ? I didn't see this anywhere. But maybe I missed it or didn't understand (I'm a french speaker ^^)
Dong Zhuo is a locked faction, you can only play as him if you either defeat him or become emperor. Rome 1 and Medieval 2 had a similar system of "beat the faction and you unlock them in a new game", but they dropped that mechanic.
Probably because if you ever uninstalled Rome 1 or Medieval 2, you'd have to start again from scratch, and that is incredibly frustrating in games that easily take weeks to finish.
@@daevious_ or simply because, while a nice idea, it is kinda disheartening if you wanted to play faction X but had to unlock that first... in Rome I and Med II you could just change a txt file, but later games...
