This is the quandary of AK at this time with dear old dad driving . AK has done several vids going into downtown Flushing Chinatown however that was done by AK biking , e scootering , or taking the subway . It is tough to drive in there with all that heavy traffic and no parking . Props to dad for doing this .
It’s always nice to see the different neighborhoods in New York 😎These drives🚘with your dad are relaxing and enjoyable🙂Thank you for sharing this informative and relaxing drive A K🙂👍!!!
I like your dad's carefree attitude. "We'll find out." lol He strikes me as someone who lives off the cuff a bit. I'm the same way. AK strikes me as very structured and serious. Nothing wrong with that either but I am enjoying the contrast between the two of you. You feed off each other well sort of like the yin and the yang which makes your interactions priceless:-)❤
Where i had my 1st taset of Canes chicken fingers !! Excellent. Also drove the entire length of roosevelt to queens bpbd under the train. This was an adventurous drive back to manhatten. Highly recommend
4:40 I'm surprised to see 3 people without helmets on a motorbike in NYC. 😲 5:08 "There might be one in the backpack, too." 😂 I'm so used to see Flushing through your walks, so it's interesting to see this drive through all the traffic. Thank you for sharing this drive with your dad, AK! 🤗
Good morning AK 🙂 I am enjoying these videos of some exploration of your home burrough in more detail with your dad's help and appreciating his historical commentary growing up in this beautiful area 😁👍 thank you for taking us out with you and hope your foot is feeling much stronger as the days pass by 🙏 have a beautiful day today!
I live in Bayside & for many years we did a lot of clothes shopping in Main Street.... Especially when I was a teenager in the 70's.....Then came the malls
Nice trip & you just passed through my current neighborhood which is down the block from Gyroworld on Northern Blvd , not far from the greek church....Safe travels!
I love Flushing Queens one of the most liked and biggest Chinatown ever AK!😍🤩😎 Like there's plenty of people restaurants shops and everything!😄😏😋😛 Everyone loves Chinatown, I love Chinatown too just like you and what about your dad.😇🥰🤭 Thanks for sharing that loveable place of Flushing Queens and Chinatown Action Kid!😌🤗🥹
This part of Queens feels like part of Toronto close to the sprawly/stroady areas that have strip malls (called 'plazas' here in Canada) mixed with traditional urban block planning and apartments.
The last time I even drove to Flushing was about seven years ago now. I only went there to check out Anime Castle, the anime and manga store that is located on Union St., just north of Northern Blvd., (I wasn't impressed; a dingy hot shop in a dingy basement and the prices were super high) near the library or town hall, and other things. I had to park about five blocks northeast in a res. area to get free parking, and walk down to the store. Wasn't too bad, but I cannot stand driving in Flushing or Elmhurst, it's bad. Esp. the area near the LIRR and subway and Macy's and all that. Not recommended. If you're coming from north shore LI, the Port Washington LIRR is the way to go, just walk right down from the LIRR and you're right in Main St. Driving is hellish.
