I grew up listening to the Sonics on the radio, going to dances at roller rinks to see them. Still have 2 or 3 of their albums

@@funandeasyguitarwithjimpau9875 never took a camera with me, and was too busy dancing. If you google Lake Hills, Bellevue washington you will see photos people did take

    That's such a cool song
Heard it in a movie a few nights ago. Gonna teach it to my band. Seems like it's tricky to sing while playing that riff at the same time, but you nailed it. Y'all sounded great.

This is the lesson a boy from Kent can use, thanks Jim & Paul . My favorite part of the song is the UH HUH vocal.

Is there any possibility that this song is played at the 7th fret? That's where I typically play it, and it sounds closer, to my ears, to the record as it has that hollow vibe at that register on the neck. I guess it doesn't matter too much where you play it, because it can be played anywhere on the neck. I say give it a try, then listen to the original Sonics recording and see if you can hear the similarities at that position. I could be wrong, but it also sounds like flatwounds were used. The Sonics' recordings were so raw sounding back then, probably not even mixed properly, so it's kinda hard to tell. Anyway, great educational video on a classic song. :)

Often times the instruments were in tune with each other and not according to a proper note. It happened with You Really Got Me, but it’s hard to tell

Hi! What’s the chord progression on the rhythm guitar? Is it G C D# C? Thanks!! 😎

      it’s C F G F, basically a I - IV - V - IV progression in the key of C major, if i’m not wrong
