I will be onist, I cried when I saw those truck run by for his funeral. My grandfather passed 2 weeks ago on Palm Sunday. Me and him were close and I helped on their farm during the summers. This reminded me of it. And sorry for your loss.
That was touching tribute to a life well lived. I am very sorry for the loss of a fine gentleman. It is said " As long as someone is well remembered, they are are not entirely gone. " His work is done. Now those with the honor of knowing him are left to keep the memory alive. God bless you all.
That funeral procession was a sight. thank you. Love that cat toolbox by the way. i need to get one of those. all your tools are right there not hidden in the drawers
I've lost rear turbos on two occasions. And one that looked like it did. So I pulled off the cut (24 rigs) head to yard and pulled filter. That air filter weighed 34 lbs.Poured coal out the stack the same failed turbo.
Jeff,I lost a turbo on my 623b scraper. First one for me. It made a funny noise, lost all power, and surrounded me with so much black smoke I didn't know where I was going. It had a good tight cab so I didn't eat any smoke. Took a long time to get it back to the yard. Mechanic fixed it in a couple of days and was back to work. Oh what a difference.
Good Stuff +Jpaydirt! I love your down to earth charm, grinding work ethic, but mostly it's your traditional appreciation of the ladies! What America needs now is more men like you and women like your intro!
Man o man they sent ole Glen off honorably . Truelly fitting for a member of Ghillotti royalty!!! RIP Mr. G you are sorely going to be missed!!!A longtime Ghillotti Bros fan
Jeff I don't Know why but nothing says earth moving better than scrapers I've always been fascinated with them.Nice video of Glen's funeral procession great man who saved pieces of history have a prosperous week keep them videos a coming!
Another great video. Love the Green Acres theme song. I was anticipating Mr. Hanney pulling up in his truck to sell you a CAT Turbo. Keep the drone shots coming. Your area of the state looks like paradise. What is the year of your WABCO haulers?
On the modern highly boosted diesels, when the turbo fails, the shrapnel goes BACKWARDS into the air cleaner. Simply because when the turbo is boosting under normal load, there is a strong vacuum to the air cleaner, once the turbo fails, debris goes into the vacuum, not towards the engine.
Now that is a class act, being brought to the church on your own flatbed transporter! RIP ol' buddy. All that machinery will be running for a long time. And to celebrate that man's life must have taken a lot of memories (and beer!)
You gave it hard work and good decisions ... Good business and real nice refurbished mining grade equipment . Awesome show and you make me envy your equipment and smile at your jokes ... I blew a turbo once but the colour was pure white and it ate 4 gallons of oil to get it to the shop .
Love your videos, keep up the good work. Keep those older machines going, they will make you money. The new electronic junk will keep you broke and make money for the manufacturers!
Our weather here is like Feb. 45th... At least a month before it will dry out and farming begins. Just need a little Radar Love. Subscribed back awhile, Great videos, Thanks
Nacelles vary in weight based on output and manufacturer. Anywhere from 120-160k. If memory serves the ole 657 Coal Bowl was around 160k also. A guy bought it sealed bid for $20,000 and then bitched about my rate to haul it!
New to the channel and I love the content. Now a full subscriber!! My 1.5 year old son loves watching the trucks and tractors. I really enjoy watching you work on the equipment. Excellent way for me to learn. Never driven a rig or tractor, but it’s now on the bucket list!!! Keep to the content rolling!!!
I'll have to make it next Month for the hat and calendars. I went thru my budget kinda too soon this month. Thanks for the Vids and the response to ordering. it's working now. God Bless the Ghiotti Family and Friends.
Curious if you've tried welding a cutting edge to a few teeth to help speed grading with the excavator in such soft soil? I found I was significantly faster - found my depth perception was affected with only the teeth of the bucket in the bottom of the ditch - was much easier to maintain grade with a smooth cutting edge. If I had a 3' bucket, would use a 4' wide cutting edge and would clean up stuff that rolled out of the bucket. Plus it left the ditch cleaner.
Hey Jeff I love the channel. Fluid film keeps moisture out of almost everything you spray it on. Perhaps it would help on those seals and bulk jeans grommets
Those 2 mountains look like... well, anyway... You got the wrong color green tractor there! Being a CAT fan, you should get yourself an Oliver (or White)! REALLY cool procession for Glen! You've had a busy week! Thanks for the video and all the hard work!
Im calling from ,anderson ,ca. Thanks for info. on motor, 1693. Im working on one. From a 825 B. Transfer parts to a green gen motor. Original water fill in in exhaust. Again watching it Thank you.
Rest In Peace Glenn hate to see a brother pass I get a woody seeing that dirt moving too bad about turbo enjoy ur videos we move a lot off dirt in Kc mo I know what’s mater with the 637 thxs
looks more like "seizes" a turbo, oiling issue? watery milk oil? water infiltration from sitting? turbo seals/bearings worn, exhaust/flap leaking water in, etc....
All your iron shines like it’s ready for a Memorial Day weekend show. Cleaning up that mechanical switch was very interesting. It looks like Glen from Petaluma took it with him after all.
What does good dirt cost up there? Here in Kansas good dirt runs about $5 a ton and our pit run gravel runs about $38 a ton and our gravel is crap compared to your. I would love to have your gravel.
Found you through Logger Wade and i happened to notice the JpayDirt Idaho license plate. This is the first video of yours that I've watched are you in Idaho. I live in Troy Idaho about 12 miles from Moscow home of the Vandals. Wife's gunna get irradiated with the binge video watching by my son and I. :)
My Tonka Truck was a wee bit Smaller but could do the same until my Brother Blew them all up with M-80's. I'm 53 and I can still pitch a bitch about my ten years older Brother destroying My dump Truck, Grader, and my Scraper. Oh well, I found out recently after our Mothers passing, he's still the Same Person Destroying as he goes along in life.
At the first of the video I noticed how happy that old cat skinner was to be able to drive a John Deere. ;) Enjoyed the tour of the ditch work, the new dog and repair/explanation of the remote shifting on a scraper. I'm glad the turbo just locked up and did not disintegrate and go through the engine. Quite a send off for Glen. I've never seen one like that. Great video!
Paydirt!!! You mentioned Rain and Snow??!! Whats that?? Had a inch of moisture since last October here in Sedgwick Kansas... Geez don’t be a Hog send some my way... Keep up the good work and vids...
Do you have a video explaining why everyone uses all these canals and irrigation ditches where you live? I am from the east coast and am clueless as to if you have too much water and need to drain it or if you are bringing in water to supply the crops. Is there much subsurface irrigation used out there? Here we make a ditch for the water to run into so it can leave, but I see you building up walls of earth next to yours that look higher than the fields they go through. Just curious, thank you for the videos, J.
Most of the irrigation was flood when the valley was developed, but has gone to sprinkler now, but the canals and ditches feed a lot of the pumps, my ground is still flood irrigated,
how wide was the ditch it looks a bit wider then the excavator if i was not so wide i would say it would have gone faster if you had a v bucket for ditching
Hello from Twin Falls Idaho we haul gravel and do some excavation Im a cat man myself thats how i found your channel great videos keep up the good work
Why you? Listening to Rush and playing out on your channel, you have some nerve. Thank God for doing that we need to expose more folks to classic American values. Thank you j.
That's how turbos go out- quick. You will be running, then you will see a fog. Then you will notice the fog keeping up with you. Damn it's you. I got one so hot I could see through it. Literally see through it. I could see the bolts screwed in to the manifold. Quite a sight.
Those turbos turn at ungodly speeds. You always get to have the first of all the fun stuff. This time the impeller to stop turning. I wanted to do that, oh well
There’s really only two kinds of diesel engines. 1. Those that have already taken an expensive shit and 2. Those that are waiting for the most inopportune time to do so.

Awesome thanks for the reference buddy!!!
Thanks for the TV show , professional u are. Prayers sent to Gino's family. Amazing funeral one of kind!

turbo failing is at 15:45
Spoiler alert
Your my hero!
That funeral procession was a sight. thank you. Love that cat toolbox by the way. i need to get one of those. all your tools are right there not hidden in the drawers

Green Acres is one of my most favorite tv shows of all time, along with Petticoat Junction, Gomer Pyle USMC and the Andy Griffith show

Really like how Rush L is always playing on the radio. I miss listening to him. Also loved the puppy, I just got a GS as well about a month older.
I thought it was Sean Hannity.... No ?
Remember kids, when approaching a four way stop the WABCO has the right of way.
Man o man they sent ole Glen off honorably . Truelly fitting for a member of Ghillotti royalty!!! RIP Mr. G you are sorely going to be missed!!!A longtime Ghillotti Bros fan
I came to watch this movie for research purposes to diagnose a problem with my truck, sorry to hear about your loss Jeff
Jeff I don't Know why but nothing says earth moving better than scrapers I've always been fascinated with them.Nice video of Glen's funeral procession great man who saved pieces of history have a prosperous week keep them videos a coming!
Thanx for the add, @jpaydirt , yes pneumatic, flat-steps, tankers, vans, oversized eq,end dumps, hopper bottoms, anything I can hook onto too
Another great video. Love the Green Acres theme song. I was anticipating Mr. Hanney pulling up in his truck to sell you a CAT Turbo. Keep the drone shots coming. Your area of the state looks like paradise. What is the year of your WABCO haulers?
Bruce Fiedorowicz damn that Mr. Haney!
Me and my dad love watching your videos. He's in love with your D9. Cheers from Ecuador
Glad to hear it!
Much respect,Jeff you are one AWESOME guy. Thanks for sharing another fabulous show 😉👍🏼.
RIP Glen❤️💕❤️much love and prayers for the Ghilotti family.
Now that is a class act, being brought to the church on your own flatbed transporter! RIP ol' buddy. All that machinery will be running for a long time. And to celebrate that man's life must have taken a lot of memories (and beer!)
Great video. My grand dad was taken from funeral home to cemetary on a hay wagon pulled behind the first new massey harris tractor he bought.
we have a local gentleman with an old horse drawn hearse and he stays busy hauling the cowboys to the cemetary
Great job jpaydirt. That's the easiest smoothest way to BREAK EXPENSIVE STUFF. Keep the vids coming. Your luck on jobs remind of my luck in life
Man that is going out in style when you have a tank at your funeral!

Good vid, you covered a lot. Love the procession of trucks at the funeral. Your drone skills are great.
Money after money , spend it to make it , Nice farewell tribute , God speed all the way !
WOW... Good thing that turbo decided not to split ways and become freely giving of itself....
That was another great one Jeff thanks for making these videos they really are great
Our weather here is like Feb. 45th... At least a month before it will dry out and farming begins. Just need a little Radar Love. Subscribed back awhile, Great videos, Thanks

Grader is also designed for V drains but as you said still wet ground.
Hello Jeff, Many thanks for another excellent video, Take Care my friend and catch you next time.😎👍🇬🇧

Another great video all around,

Very touching tribute to your friend.

Love you videos Greeting from South Wales Martyn Williams and family. Good to see Glen got a good send off

Hey Jeff I love the channel. Fluid film keeps moisture out of almost everything you spray it on. Perhaps it would help on those seals and bulk jeans grommets
Cute pup! Oh, the work's probably good too...
Those 2 mountains look like... well, anyway... You got the wrong color green tractor there! Being a CAT fan, you should get yourself an Oliver (or White)! REALLY cool procession for Glen! You've had a busy week! Thanks for the video and all the hard work!
Those 2 mountains look like... Yes that is why the first ( LONELY ) french tapers gave them the named The Grand Tetons.
Im calling from ,anderson ,ca. Thanks for info. on motor, 1693. Im working on one. From a 825 B. Transfer parts to a green gen motor. Original water fill in in exhaust. Again watching it Thank you.

Great video Jeff, thanks for sharing!👍
Jeff it`s wonderful to be a mechanic , don`t you agree ???
Love your equipment and videos keep up the good work
looks more like "seizes" a turbo, oiling issue? watery milk oil? water infiltration from sitting?
turbo seals/bearings worn, exhaust/flap leaking water in, etc....
Ever thought of adding a small plate lower in middle of the scraper cutting edge to cut a bit deeper than the whole width of blade
Drop center cutting edge? Most scrapers I've seen use them
Love the video and we need more wabco dump truck. thanks Ray from Redding CA
That is slow work with an excavator. A chain bucket excavator is made for that. if you don't have one, you use what you got.
Time to get a Switch blade!!!😎
That old tractor needs a 3406 conversion 😁😁😁
All your iron shines like it’s ready for a Memorial Day weekend show.
Cleaning up that mechanical switch was very interesting.
It looks like Glen from Petaluma took it with him after all.
Well almost they didn't bury any of it with him☻
Friday already. Where do you find the time to make these great videos. Thanks Jeff.
iusetano the hard part to making videos is deciding which footage to use, then the cut and splice is fairly easy
I borrow it from the future
:{)
What does good dirt cost up there? Here in Kansas good dirt runs about $5 a ton and our pit run gravel runs about $38 a ton and our gravel is crap compared to your. I would love to have your gravel.
dirt is about the same here, but gravel straight out of the ground is 2.35 a ton loaded and crushed is 5 bucks a ton
Lost a turbo on a Gradall once, nothing but smoke and about 4 horse power.
This my freinds is one of many great vids!! From one awsome freind and Boss Man!! And long live Kenny!!
Keep up the good work your videos make my week
Found you through Logger Wade and i happened to notice the JpayDirt Idaho license plate. This is the first video of yours that I've watched are you in Idaho. Thanks Chris, hope mamma bear doesn't get to angry☻
Love your videos. Douglas from King George, Virginia.
That diesel sounded amazing at start up
Does this mean the scraper's getting a switchblade turbski in the future?
How come people don’t use elevating scrapers? All we’ve ever used and I don’t see how it could get any better lol
Uh oh. Paydirt's on a John Deere. Nothing runs like a Deere Jeff.
another great video never seen a turbo lockup . I would like to hear the 2 cylinder run I have not drove one in a long time
chris creech C15s are notorious for locking up turbo and snapping the shaft
My Tonka Truck was a wee bit Smaller but could do the same until my Brother Blew them all up with M-80's. I'm 53 and I can still pitch a bitch about my ten years older Brother destroying My dump Truck, Grader, and my Scraper. If you want to feel worse get on eBay and see what the old Tonkas are selling for.
At the first of the video I noticed how happy that old cat skinner was to be able to drive a John Deere. ;)
Enjoyed the tour of the ditch work, the new dog and repair/explanation of the remote shifting on a scraper. I'm glad the turbo just locked up and did not disintegrate and go through the engine.
Quite a send off for Glen. I've never seen one like that.
Great video!
You all got it made.
A great life !
Great video Jeff

Greetings from Wilmington, NC. Are you planning on put switchblade turbos on equipment?
how wide was the ditch it looks a bit wider then the excavator if i was not so wide i would say it would have gone faster if you had a v bucket for ditching
Hello from Twin Falls Idaho we haul gravel and do some excavation Im a cat man myself thats how i found your channel great videos keep up the good work
That's a dead snail! I've only seen white smoke when a turbo fails.
Nice work. Just wondering if a clean out bucket would have been better or Did you grub out the trees as you went .
took out the trees then cleaned it to grade, I asked what people were using and got a ton of good ideas just need to do some fab work now
Jpaydirt oh nice well as always nice work and keep moving that dirt
Your buddy Glenn had some sweet toys!
Ever seen a turbo fail on an old 773 truck?
Why you? Listening to Rush and playing out on your channel, you have some nerve. Thank God for doing that we need to expose more folks to classic American values. Thank you j.
Another outstanding video Mr Anderson!!!! How do you find the time??
Awesome equipment 😎cool Trucks
That was supposed to be white board not wakeboard sorry about that
Hmm...that looks like blood at 19:17. Looks like the Neosporin and band aid space in your new tool box is going to be useful.
Well hell.... I just saw him making this video and changing out that turbo and then it shows his Obit, so how did that happen so quick ? ? ?
That's how turbos go out- quick. You will be running, then you will see a fog. Then you will notice the fog keeping up with you. Damn it's you. I got one so hot I could see through it. Literally see through it. I could see the bolts screwed in to the manifold. Quite a sight.
Those turbos turn at ungodly speeds. You always get to have the first of all the fun stuff. This time the impeller to stop turning. I wanted to do that, oh well
what a great backyard you have ,arwsome
Subscribed. Love the Chanel
There’s really only two kinds of diesel engines. 1. Those that have already taken an expensive shit and 2. Those that are waiting for the most inopportune time to do so.
If it had tits or wheels it will cause you problems.
might just need to get a backhoe and sell all this shit that dont work....
The backhoe is the most useless piece of equipment on this earth haha.
when you have to get out on foot in a field that has been recently sprayed with roundup . do you take any precautions to avoid picked contamination spreading thru your vehicles, shop , laundry machines. its just a question. i too was wondering if you held the fuel shut off and cranked the engine when the turbo oil supply was taken off the old turbo to flush the supply and to verify you are getting oil.. plus running compressed air thru the drain back hose to verify its not restricted.. what about the super fine sediment in the air filter.. i know that when i block the inlet on a impeller pump.. that is spins easier as there is less air being moved thru it. less drag.. much more RPMs.. could the dirty filter have caused the turbo to overspeed? it will be interesting when you heat up the turbo wheels with a propane torch to loosen them from the shaft without pounding to see what failed in the turbo. or just ask the turbo shop what failed if you are returning it as a core. perhaps its just a rust flake from the exhaust manifold holding the turbine blade.. just thoughts..
I'm going to remove the hot housing and have a look see before it goes to Blaylock Turbo, you should see that this friday
i have a thought.. it the inside of the exhaust manifolds is really scaly.. perhaps somebody does extrude honing up near you... clean the manifolds of scale as best you can.. let the flowing abrasive do the rest.. extrudehone.com/ or boneheadperformance.com/contact/ you could just take a ball hone and weld on some cheap sockets and use some impact swivel universal joints to allow you to go around corners with an conventional extension..
Amazing tool box!👍🏼
Tool Crown
Hey jpaydirt look forward to your videos every week really like watching them but haven't seen my name on the wakeboard yet I am Philip Bonner from Anza California
Jeff, I know ya want to get Another Dog, Goto your Neatest Shelter and get you one. He/She is just waiting for you to give them a good Home. I should know, I'm on my Third Saved from the Shelter Canine. Yes, they are a blessing.
