Watching your son do this with such skill must make you really proud - it was wonderful to watch you all work together on getting this project started. The other commenter's idea about the wedding clock is a fantastic one! This is such a great example of how farming requires resourcefulness - you all certainly have plenty of that! The wedding photos were a wonderful touch - all of them are absolutely beautiful and no doubt bring about lots of good memories. Number 4 will be just as special. Wonderful video - stay safe!

Nice black walnut. As stated before, the trunk of tree one looks like a heart. (How fitting, Wedding Wood).
    Beautiful children, Peter and Lynette.
Stay safe and I'll look forward to your next video.

Hi Everyone, I just wanted to let everyone know that we are making videos, but this past week has been a push to get this project completed and I will totally share with you folks very soon! This whole dairy farming part of the equation is limiting my time a bit! I miss you all and will hopefully post a new video tomorrow! Stay tuned! God Bless- Lynette and Peter

They handled chain saws before. The bottom of the first log kinda looks like 2 half’s of hearts. Cut about 1- 11/2” and order a clock set. Make the newlyweds a clock out of the logs that are helping pay for it. Just a thought. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻

I was thinking the save thing. It would make a beautiful clock as a wedding gift.

There is a reason that wood looked like it did - I so agree with this awesome idea! The symbolism alone is amazing - what a beautiful idea for something that could become a family heirloom for them :)

    Glad your safe.
Ever try Swedish way to notch & cut ?
Some gunsmith will buy limbs down to 4" & like the "Y"'s

    • @backtothelandorganicfarmer6861

Peter says he was thinking that Swedish way of notching would be open face cut? He says sometimes he does that or even cuts straight across! From my perspective, I will now have to RUclips search the Swedish way and see it!
So, I have question for you! I was thinking we would keep all the five and six foot limb logs and maybe offer those on craigslist for like $10-$15 or $20 each to crafters, but I want your opinion? I have no idea where to find a gunsmith! What are your thoughts?
      Thank you, Lynette and Peter

Back to the Land organic farmers
Swedish cut they notch similar but then plunge cut thru the back side sort of.
As far as the limbs, Craig's list just might be best way.
Gunsmith are hard to find & rifle/pistol stock makers are the same.
With Craig's list you reach a broader audience, wood workers, craft people n craftsman .
I'm sure Peter knows this if he's gonna push/force a tree to fall where he wants , gotta increase notch a bit, how ever with that face so low I can understand why he didn't , they can be a week/dangerous spot to trust.
      Hope it helps.
