A previous video you said you pay over two thousand a month for a 1 bedroom but skimp on a 35 dollar mug. Do you prefer renting? I am seriously asking because it seems insane throwing that money away each month when a move further out would get you something that would be yours forever. Some people feel renting just works best for them. Maybe you share the same reasoning.
Hey! I didn’t skimp on buying the $35 mug. I waited first to see if I could find the one I’d bought previously because I knew I’d left it somewhere, so why rush to buy another and instead keep looking for the one I’d previous paid $35 for. I pay $2000 a month to live downtown because I work hard, so I say that I’m going to do what makes me happy. I’ve lived on the outskirts all my life. I’ve always wanted to move downtown so I made the move three years ago and I LOVE IT! For some and their desires it may be insane for them, but for me, my income, as well as what makes me happy - it’s more than worth it. I love the convenience and I love looking out over the city. As for “prefer” renting …..lol…. Yes, I love being able to call someone when it breaks and not have to worry about being scammed or a $5000 bill. I love being able to move whenever I choose. Lastly, though I don’t talk about it, I do OWN a home in Decatur.

A few years ago I got rid of 90% of everything and it’s been freeing. We don’t need most of what we have. At the same time I’ve lost so many classmates while in our 40’s and 50’s so I have vowed to just live life and not obsess over things I can’t take with me. ❤️
