- I've created an easier to view list of all my bass parts here : basshymn.blogspot.com/
Here's the bass part for ''Te Deum" by Haydn. If there's more than one, then it's the one in C. It's the most popular one.
This was pretty hard for me to do it all correctly in one take, so there are a few mistakes note-wise and probably a million problems with my pronunciation. I'm not singing latin, i'm singing me-latin.
This is part of a resource for church choirs of all the bass parts to everything ever!
Please contact me if you've seen this and I don't know you personally, as it would be interesting to know if anyone has used this.
Thank you so much again. This is the help I needed. I am so grateful to be performing this and truly needed the extra help. Appreciate your musical dedication and services. Dan
You are so welcome! Thank you
Awesome. I used to sing the tenor part -- 42 years ago! But I still remember it, and sang it along with/against your bass. Thanks so much for that trip down memory lane.
Great! Happy to help
And now it's 2022 already! You should look totally pleased with yourself at the end! This was so helpful. Many thanks!!
Haha, yes, a feeling of relief I think!
Vielen herzlichen Dank für diese grossartige Hilfe. Sie ist für mich eine wunderbare Ergänzung zu den Chorprobe.
Thank you very much. Muchas Gracias! This has proven invaluable for me after been away from singing for more than 17 years!
Glad to help you! Good luck with your singing!
Hallo! I enjoyed hearing just the bass part. I've recently become part of a choir and as I'm finding singing alto somewhat challenging, i've become more interested in ATB and it's fascinating how different (& simultaneously sinilar!) the piece sounds when you are just hearing one part. Thank you for putting this up. It's also heartening to know there are people who love classical music to go to so much effort 😊
Glad to do it! Thanks for the kind comment!
I forgot to type this out, but this video helped me out in the hardest part of my musical career last year. Thanks for the video!
Glad to help
So helpful, thanks! If I had found your blog earlier I would have been able to take part in some carols this week but will definitely be using it next year!
Thanks for getting in touch - appreciate the kind words. Yes, hopefully I’ve helped lots of singers feel a bit more capable in their choirs! Good luck for next Christmas!
Thanks, it's a great help, Ryde Chorus are performing this on April 2nd.
Great, glad to help!
Just joining in the chorus of praise for this very helpful series of videos
Much appreciated
Thanks so much for this piece. You nailed it, good tempo, loved the Latin pronunciations.
Thank you! Haha please ignore all my Latin
Thanks for making these videos. Hugely helpful.
Glad to help - thanks for getting in touch

Thank you for this. Very useful.
Ravi Ratnasabapathy thanks for the support.
Thank you, very useful.
Glad to help, thank you
Can I get the midi file/ sound file you used to accompany this video ? Thank you
Hi - afraid not. I recorded myself playing on my digital piano and sang over it ... but then I deleted it when i was finished. Sorry!
basshymn Well, thank you.
I've used your bass parts for the last several years, especially when I needed to learn the Messiah and Faure's Requiem. I'm a member of the Savannah, Georgia Philharmonic Chorus and I thank you for making learning my music a delight. I'm now in the midst of learning Haydn's Creation. Can you direct me to all the bass parts? Thanks again, Jules Kerness
Thanks for the support - appreciate it!
I've not done Haydn's Creation I'm afraid ... so you'll have to use something like Choirparts (which isn't a real voice - just midi) ... I'll maybe get round to it one day, although work and babies is my main focus at the moment! :-)
Thanks again.
very helpful
+Charboy 2074 Thanks!

it seems more like the baritone-tenor 2 version to me
kotchka32 Te Deum is scored SATB. No baritone or tenor 2 part in this particular score. I have the identical score. He's probably a natural baritone singing the bass part. There are low Fs (F2) in the score and that's below tenor range. He's using his head voice on the high Es and Eb's.
awh man i need the alto part! :D
Sorry! 2high4me
Not to be mean but in measure 33 I thought that your disgust with that high part was pretty funny!
As well as your “wtf are these words moment” at 55!
Good job though, and thank you for putting this out! I really needed it!
I can’t help myself. I actually work as a pianist rehearsing with a Ballet company ... and I am known for my crazy disgust face.
Thanks!
