I have to agree with a lot of the comments. If you want an expert hunter to react to hunting in Red Dead Redemption 2, why not just show the process of hunting animals for perfect quality pelts? Nobody really hunts the legendary animals as they would the common variants, you can just spam your deadeye targeting, throw dynamite, poison knives, etc., without any worry of ruining the pelt. Hunting legendary animals is akin to kicking open the door as Rambo while holding a large machine gun in each hand, but you need to be much more cautious and strategical when you locate that 3-star animal and wants its pelt. It's sort of like Gamology's management told someone to "just capture footage of you hunting all the legendary animals" but didn't really specify why or if they should be doing it a certain way, so the player just did it how they would do it naturally. Legendary animals are not even realistic, anyway. They don't exist in reality unlike every other species of animal in RDR2 does, so if you are going to have an expert give their opinions and feedback, it should be by showing him/her hunting the actual animals they would find in real life. Showing a hunter all the legendary animals in RDR2 is like showing a pilot all the spaceships in Star Wars.

You still don’t need dynamite. The only legendary animal I hunted that needed more than 2-4 rifle shots was the legendary croc, but that was more because I needed to make sure it was down 😂 You can absolutely headshot legendary animals especially the smaller ones like the fox and coyote
I always thought to myself that hunting in RDR2 was far too easy as I at least used some measure of forethought by always taking my trusty Krag to dispatch the foe. It basically guaranteed a clean kill on all but the largest of animals. Now I know what it looks like to hunt as if I were a moron! Wow!
Love spike the hunter but this is just awful gameplay to show off the hunting aspect of RDR2 to him. Running directly up to the legendary animals using a pistol to litter up an animal with bullets using Dead-Eye, Blowing them up with DYNAMITE! No rifles or snipers using express ammunition for that precise one shot as Spike stated for getting a quality pelt.
I’m curious if that was a dog hunt or not. Cause if it wasn’t and he was straight up cave man hunting wild boar with a stone knife that’s both the most masculine and incredibly stupid thing I’ve ever heard of. For reference boar are usually hunted with spears because of their ability to just not care about lethal wounds and just gore you out anyways before actually dying.
I understand that he's only commenting on what he sees, but can someone on the team please explain to Spike that when you skin a large animal in this game you simply can't take the whole carcass with you because you literally have no means of doing so, what are you supposed to do drag it behind the horse? I wish we had wagons or something to take the whole thing with us but there's only so much you can do. Also, you actually do harvest the animal's meat along with it's pelt. You literally see it show up on the side of the screen *and* in your satchel. But besides that, the person providing the gameplay could also do a better job of taking the smaller animal carcasses with them to donate to camp or something instead of just leaving them there to rot.
Sadly, in this game it takes a minimum of 2 shots to take out the Legendary Animals, usually with a High Powered Rifle with a scope. Some animals, like the Bull Gator, take much more to kill. The really unrealistic part is that the skins of legendary animals do not change their state if you completely destroy them. Call it the magic of a legendary animal. I would like to see this hunter react to someone going after Perfect Pelts from non-legendary animals, he would likely approve of the methods more. I am sure that someone else in the comments has mentioned that you do get meat off of the animal carcass but it doesn't show any removed , likely to reduce the gore factor. Some animals the game does not allow you to pick up and take with you because they are obviously too heavy.
Yeah but hunters, poachers they all do the same thing!!! World has more enough meat from cows, sheeps and chicken and these guys just hunt because they wanna improve economy ?
@@goddtzu4008 Thats actually why a lot of hunters wont take a majority of the intestines. But in all seriousness, its more of a waste if you take nothing but the 'valuables.' Hunting for money via valuable animal parts, instead of utilizing the whole animal, is poaching.

You can take the whole carcass with a rope but you can’t sell the whole carcass
He looks friendly and dangerous at the same time
Honestly, if you leave the meat but take the hide & horns, you're a poacher, not a hunter.
But doesn't leaving meat benefits some animals that can easily eat the body?
You do take some meat with you when skinning the animals, you just leave the carcases
In my town, people use just about everything off an animal if they hunt it
Yeah but hunters, poachers they all do the same thing!!!
World has more enough meat from cows, sheeps and chicken and these guys just hunt because they wanna improve economy ?
@@goddtzu4008 Thats actually why a lot of hunters wont take a majority of the intestines. But in all seriousness, its more of a waste if you take nothing but the 'valuables.'
Hunting for money via valuable animal parts, instead of utilizing the whole animal, is poaching.
That gameplay just hurts hahaha can anyone tell that player that you only need to whistle once?
It's a shame the player is terrible at it.
if you read the description apparently its 3 bad players
@@OZM333 W H A T ? How can THREE SEPARATE PEOPLE be so trash at this game?? Did they hire twelve-year-olds? I thought it was all just one dude playing, but jesus christ this takes it to a whole new level of garbage!
05:48 Maan, that "the Legendary BEAVER, okaay this is gotta be good" comment cracks me up
Do animals react to wild life in RDR2
I don't know why they pick the absolute worst players for these. Gaming journalists/influencers always fucking suck at every game they play.
Why tf did they get footage from someone who has never played the game
yo this is my new favorite person to watch on experts react
This video misses out on the fun of having the legendary animals buddies coming after you when you attack it.
They should have explained to him that you CANT take the large carcasses with you, skinning them and getting meat that way is all you can do when its too big. As he said, theres no processing bags in this game😂
This is probably the WORST footage you could've used. Whoever's gameplay this is did a terrible job of showing how hunting is in RDR2
I had a deer I shot run off a good ways before he collapsed and died. Left me a nice blood trail to follow. So realistic, it felt awesome
I wanna see his reaction to hunting in Skyrim, that would be funny 😂
Ah yes the classic hunter stategy, shoot a fireball at the deer
"That guy is a legendary butt hole" - Timmy Spike D!
This person doesn't know how to play RDR2, for some animals its better to use the bow and arrow so you get a better quality pelt. This guy is just trigger happy
You can’t ruin the pelt of the legendary animals
There was gonna be a butchering mechanic but it was deemed "too slow and unessisary" i know for a fact if it was kept people would complain about how grusome it was
Especially PETA lol
Woulda made sense for the game tho
Gameology. Idk who you have playing but they SUCK at hunting RDR2. Jfc I was cringing at every hunt.
Do they actually have people play? I figured they just grabbed random youtube videos to show.
Hi Tim. I`m a former ranger, tracker and wildlife tour guide who worked in South Africa with wildlife. It would be awesome to spend some time with you in the American wilderness learning about your fauna and flora and your tracking skills ect
The gameplay is so bad bruh 💀💀💀
as an expert hunter in rdr2 i have no words after this gameplay
It was hard to watch…
disgusting
Terrible gameplay
I like this dude. Something tells me he's hunted down some legendary cougars at the local watering hole
what exactly does this guy expect a hunter from 1890 with no car or horse to do with a 2000 lb carcas?
“This guy is a stud. Arthur Morgan is a STUD
Hearing him say "Legendary Beaver" has made me laugh harder than I probably should've.
maybe he was using a special kind of dynamite that perfectly puts outlines of clothes peices on the hide when it explodes
If you hold the whistle button down it sounds a lot better.
They really used to worst footage they could find💀
They should just start using GTA series video’s gameplay for the hunting videos 😭
Because back in those days, leather was highly valued as it was needed for making belts to transfer power from drive shaft to drive shaft in factories. My grandfather was a kid in the 1920's and when he was a kid, he made a living shooting animals and selling their skins. He'd hunt animals on his way to and from school. Had to do what you had to do to support your family back in them days.
This is by far the most entertaining reaction here.
In case anyone is confused about the legendary rat being left out, it's a really rare easter-egg-ish animal that can only be killed by completing American Venom in the final mission of the epilogue.
The guy playing this game definitely has the lowest possible honor
I'm getting nervous because of that shiiitttyy clips man, WTH??!!! I'm playing with 40 fps only and i never do such thing like that, so this expert actually didn't react to the main game 😢
Much love and respect to a true hunter🙌🏻
