Horrotale definitely a hit especially the emotional condition and change is so well made. I juts love it when messed up timelines are delivered with much sense and nearly no plot hole. Definitely a must.
As for Alphatale, it is a story that can work without any problems on its own and without the Undertale Fandom, which is what the Author himself aims at, and Alphatale themselves will rather cease to be AU and become one of the most extended worlds almost like in the Tolkien world, but it is worth noting that the story itself I like more in N! Alphatale, i.e. the continuation and even Reboot, which so far is being created and such disadvantages as, for example, the all-encompassing Sans of that era no longer occurs, only other characters have an important role, Alphatale In itself as Edenverse, 9.5/10 , And N!Alphatale 9/10 , And Alphatale before Edenvers, I have the same opinion as you do 8/10 . When I was still in Undertale AU, my favorite was undoubtedly Aftertale , Later it decreased and Axetale started to favor me more, but still recognizes these AUs at a high level

I've been reading into an AU/Fanfic known as DoubleTale. It's remake version. It's pretty good so far and different than most Undertale AUs. I say different because instead of Frisk/Sans/Chara being the main focus, it's actually two OCs, two humans that fell into the Underground: Cter the Hacker and Anthony the Anarchist. These two characters have a similar background to each other but their paths go into two different directions. What also makes this unique is that this takes place in two separate Genocide Runs. So they aren't even together in the first place. You observe the perspective of both humans while on their journey through the Underground. The Undertale Multiverse is involved, if that wasn't clear enough. There is already fan music of it by BlueBeats. There was a fan comic by KuroNekoPalette but wasn't updated for 3 years. The fanfic itself is still going. The credit to the AU goes to XWolf26. Give it a try. I'm still catching up.

Good evening, I, Reborn#2512 (you know who) will put here my own ratings, they'll be a bit more specific than yours due to this being a written comment, not a video Undertale: 9/10 Given the fact that for something to be a 10/10 to me, it has to be absolutely perfect (even masterpieces or stuff i extremely enjoy i usually consider a 9.5/10 at most), Undertale is definitely amazing in everything it has to offer. One thing that I enjoy a lot is the fact that there are 4 canon LGBT characters, but toby fox simply doesn't care what their sexuality is, just puts them in the story without talking about that, which is something a LOT of stories/aus, especially marvel and DC miss. Making characters good cause of their personality and actions, rather than sexuality, race or whatever. The whole plot is good, but it has a lot more plotholes than you've mentioned (like, some takes in the everything wrong with undertale, despite being a joke video, are unironically valid). These inconsistencies may make you think more about possible answers, but it still brings down the whole experience for me, considering it is without a doubt one of the best single developer indie games ever. It's a solid 9/10, if we're talking music then It'd be almost 10/10 but that's something else. Maybe we could say that the fact that the characters have amazing personalities could bring it to 9.5 for me but eh, really depends on how you view it. Solid 9. Canonswap: 8/10 Before the AU was fanon'd into oblivion, and the creator left the entire community, it was actually a pretty good au. The idea was pretty original for the time, despite being so basic. I love the designs, but sadly as it is simply undertale but swapped there isn't much plot, which is my biggest point. Underfell: Ah yes, the AU with impossible to find canon. In most iterations It's a solid 8/10 too, but some of them are extremely inconsistent. The best ones are a 8.5/10, and the characters despite being so edgy and "evil" are actually good and they're fun characters. I agree with your take on asgore, in this au he SHOULD be an actual villain, that's why i prefer that to the "victim" asgore. If we're talking about overall, i agree with your 7.5/10, if only about the GOOD ones, 8/10. Storyshift (both): 7.5/10 To me, preboot is slightly better than reboot because of the designs, like you say, but the small expansion STILL makes it a mediocre AU. It's without a doubt good in designs and character personality, but plot is almost nonexistent in preboot, and in reboot It's good but meh. This is my opinion mostly. I don't have as much knowledge as you do on the au so you might also be right. Swapfell: 8/10 Alright, now I start actually disagreeing with you. I believe FellSwap X and gold are still better than classic swapfell, I'd give fellswap X almost a 9 out of 10, and gold 8.5/10. Fellswap does have a better community, It's true, also because It's a less explored au than fellswap. Fellswap X doesn't just turn everyone red: it actually adds a lot of plot, with a few plotholes here and there like the classic undertale, but overall It's an au that's original and with plot that makes sense. Swapfell has good plot, but to me It's inferior to fellswap X. Fellswap Gold also is cool, although not as much. I reaaaally like the fellswap x setting of the cold war, and making sans not just an edgy teen but also with more personality than fell sans himself. It's a darker/edgier au for sure, but good. Swapfell is a softer, more classic version of it that switches red with purple. It might sound stupid said like this, but yeah. 8/10. Glitchtale: 8/10 Man this was fire. Not just an amazing experience, it actually got rid of a lot of plotholes, although some still do stay. It's annoying but not bad. Animation is high tier, and the original camila cuevas fandom was amazing. Then it got worse and rule34'd so much. Bete noire is without a doubt a good villain, but the whole hate thing makes her a bit less intimidating, still horrifying. The human characters are also decent, though they should've been explained better. Some parts were ehhh, could've been better, but i loved the fights. Solid 8. X-tale: 9/10 Top notch animation, even better than glitchale in my opinion. Underverse is god tier animation, and it has a lot more plot in it. Inconsistencies exist, but they're much less noticeable, and x gaster as a villain is prpbably one of the best villains in the entirety of undertale AU, he definitely does his job at appearing terrifying. Everything in x-tale is amazing, really, not much to add. Underverse season 2 also looking good so far, and if we're talking og material (x tale) only then i agree with your 8.5, but fully, It's a 9/10 for me. Top 5 favorite aus defo. Dusttale: 8/10 Might be a little biased since it was the first ever au i've seen myself, but to me dusttale is coact. Something new (killertale): 8.5/10 Good story, good tragedy, interesting plot, nice character design, not much to say on this. Also cause i don't have as much info on this one. Dreamtale: 8/10 Pre-catastrophe was honestly good in concept and essence, It's sad how It's often overlooked. Sadly, I don't have much info on determinationtale, so no review for that. Gentale: 7.5/10 Due to it being relatively new, It's an interesting concept. To be honest, I'd like it more if chans was a bit less included, and more like a part of it, but not one of the main focuses. Papyrus' design is my favourite, while the other characters are pretty normal. I'm impressed with the improvements you've made in such short time though, so it's decent to me. I can relate to most of your ratings and the reasoning makes sense. We’ve probably both seen far too much of fanon ideas distorting opinions of the actual AU itself. It was a pleasant surprise to see DeterminationTale on there as well, certainly wasn’t expecting that. Good stuff.
Oh boy, time to copy and paste my opinions of certain AU's and pray that we don't get controversy. To start things off though, for the sake of consistency, Fellswap is going to be 5 and Underverse is going to be 10. All opinions will be based off of this, as a heads up. Undertale, 9: This is the original AU, so there isn't that much to say about it. Honestly though, through the stories the fandom grew off of it, it kinda just seems like a puzzle piece in bigger projects, which is a shame. Without looking at the fandom though, the game is amazing. Underswap 8: A simple idea turned into widespread internet culture, like most popular AU's. I tried to gather as much canon stuff as I could, but it's a bit difficult ever sense the creator took down their threads. Preferring the Canon though, it's pretty solid. Underfell, 8: Named after its creator, Underfell is essentially a "What if we took Undertale's planned hard mode and turned it into a style". Boom, everything's emo, but in a good fashion. Like said in the video, if you can find the Canon interpretations of this AU, it's a pleasure to be around. Fellswap, 5: As far as I can tell, this AU is what I caused a new rule to develop, the rule of AU augmenting. The original AU always go's last whilst the changes made go beforehand. Looking at the AU though, it did seem a bit off, like they were stretching a bit much, so the rule is mainly what brought it up here. Also, we have the entire color spectrum of Fellswap variations lol. Swapfell, 6: Although it does seem like this is the same as Fellswap at first glance, it actually has some very distinct differences upon it. Like how the (hopefully canon) color palate is purple now, and how characters are more in depth. In all, this is how a AU combination should be done. Also, Dissension by Its Axel is godworthy, go check it out. Flowerfell, 8: Looking at this through the CANON perspective, it is a beautiful AU. No romance, just honest friendship. The idea is also great, how the Frisk in this timeline landed on poisonous flowers. One of those AU's I might recommend for someone to read. We don't talk about fanon. Outertale, 6: The idea is interesting, but other than the color palate changes and the music theme being switched, there isn't exactly that much going for it. At least it's not bad, it's like Barbeque Lays in a sense. Horrortale, 7: The idea behind it is quite interesting, but the execution couldn't be more flawless. However, Fanon does seem to have their takes on it. As the original comic though, I highly recomend it. Something New (Killer), 7: However many variations of the canon there is, I still like this as an example of how to make a good "Bad timeline". However, there is another of which I think did this better. Dusttale, 8: The idea of it is just genius, and the approach that the canon did with the idea makes me want to give this person whatever books get as awards nowadays. However, like you also said in the video, the fanon does persuade my opinions sideways a tad.'' Dreamtale, 7: Controversial take, I get it, but hear me out. Yes, the concepts unique enough to stand out and its premise isn't oversaturated, but it doesn't exactly make sense. I looked through canon and fanon for answers to some major plot holes, but I nearly always got more questions than answers. Despite that though, this one is worth checking out. Dreamswap, 8: EVEN MORE controversial take, I also get it, but hear me out again. I like this more for the fact that they made an actually unique AU fusion, and how the characters also switch with the AU. I also immensely like the tone-shift of Ink in this AU. Along with this, the story is actually not that much "How to fuck did that happen" than most stories, which I also like a ton. Aftertale ( +Error, ( +Ink)), 7-9: I can't exactly make my mind up on this one, but it is still positive. The idea is pretty good, the idea of Sans getting stuck in the load screen and then glitched outside the timeline into a void. The paring with Ink also makes this timeline stick the landing hard, with Ink and Error being morally rivals is quite nice to see. Highly recommend checking out if you have the time. Fatal Error, 8.5: It seems like a pattern of sorts where I like to rate AU fusions higher than normal ones. I am not going to address it. The concept itself does seem like it should have plotholes, but when looking through it again, it mainly follows most of the rules the fanon canon set up, and it doesn't break anything to badly whilst telling a decent story. Nice. Alphatale: I haven't had the time to read it yet, but it is one my hit-list. My opinion will be put here when fully read. Fresh, 7: Notice how I said Fresh and not Underfresh. That's because, by my understanding of the canon, Fresh is just fresh. However, if I am wrong, it also doesn't matter. I like the idea of this AU, the more in-depth features of Fresh and how he is somehow not that tainted by the fanon. God save our souls, amen. If there are any I did miss, my notifications are on. IMO, AlphaTale is the best au, is has great amazing backstories, characters writing and stuff, but more importantly is not only about sanses or changed roles, it has a lot of new good characters end is concentrated on every single characters, is a shame that people never read this, overrate the characters, takes only fanon versions and says that 404 solos everyone whitout even knowing his actual powers,scale and abilities

Gen is the one of the few people that can express their opinions with reason, they actually explain why they like or don't like an AU and try their best to go off of canon. It's not just "Alphatale has Chans, -100000000000/10.".
As long as the ship is legal within the AU, I wouldn't take points off of it. I'm no fan of soriel,but altertale and reapertale are still great

I can relate to most of your ratings and the reasoning makes sense. We’ve probably both seen far too much of fanon ideas distorting opinions of the actual AU itself.
It was a pleasant surprise to see DeterminationTale on there as well, certainly wasn’t expecting that. Good stuff.

Oh boy, time to copy and paste my opinions of certain AU's and pray that we don't get controversy. To start things off though, for the sake of consistency, Fellswap is going to be 5 and Underverse is going to be 10. All opinions will be based off of this, as a heads up.
Undertale, 9: This is the original AU, so there isn't that much to say about it. Honestly though, through the stories the fandom grew off of it, it kinda just seems like a puzzle piece in bigger projects, which is a shame. Without looking at the fandom though, the game is amazing.
Underswap 8: A simple idea turned into widespread internet culture, like most popular AU's. I tried to gather as much canon stuff as I could, but it's a bit difficult ever sense the creator took down their threads. Preferring the Canon though, it's pretty solid.
Underfell, 8: Named after its creator, Underfell is essentially a "What if we took Undertale's planned hard mode and turned it into a style". Boom, everything's emo, but in a good fashion. Like said in the video, if you can find the Canon interpretations of this AU, it's a pleasure to be around.
Fellswap, 5: As far as I can tell, this AU is what I caused a new rule to develop, the rule of AU augmenting. The original AU always go's last whilst the changes made go beforehand. Looking at the AU though, it did seem a bit off, like they were stretching a bit much, so the rule is mainly what brought it up here. Also, we have the entire color spectrum of Fellswap variations lol.
Swapfell, 6: Although it does seem like this is the same as Fellswap at first glance, it actually has some very distinct differences upon it. Like how the (hopefully canon) color palate is purple now, and how characters are more in depth. In all, this is how a AU combination should be done. Also, Dissension by Its Axel is godworthy, go check it out.
Flowerfell, 8: Looking at this through the CANON perspective, it is a beautiful AU. No romance, just honest friendship. The idea is also great, how the Frisk in this timeline landed on poisonous flowers. One of those AU's I might recommend for someone to read. We don't talk about fanon.
Outertale, 6: The idea is interesting, but other than the color palate changes and the music theme being switched, there isn't exactly that much going for it. At least it's not bad, it's like Barbeque Lays in a sense.
Horrortale, 7: The idea behind it is quite interesting, but the execution couldn't be more flawless. However, Fanon does seem to have their takes on it. As the original comic though, I highly recomend it.
Something New (Killer), 7: However many variations of the canon there is, I still like this as an example of how to make a good "Bad timeline". However, there is another of which I think did this better.
Dusttale, 8: The idea of it is just genius, and the approach that the canon did with the idea makes me want to give this person whatever books get as awards nowadays. However, like you also said in the video, the fanon does persuade my opinions sideways a tad.''
Dreamtale, 7: Controversial take, I get it, but hear me out. Yes, the concepts unique enough to stand out and its premise isn't oversaturated, but it doesn't exactly make sense. I looked through canon and fanon for answers to some major plot holes, but I nearly always got more questions than answers. Despite that though, this one is worth checking out.
Dreamswap, 8: EVEN MORE controversial take, I also get it, but hear me out again. I like this more for the fact that they made an actually unique AU fusion, and how the characters also switch with the AU. I also immensely like the tone-shift of Ink in this AU. Along with this, the story is actually not that much "How to fuck did that happen" than most stories, which I also like a ton.
Aftertale ( +Error, ( +Ink)), 7-9: I can't exactly make my mind up on this one, but it is still positive. The idea is pretty good, the idea of Sans getting stuck in the load screen and then glitched outside the timeline into a void. The paring with Ink also makes this timeline stick the landing hard, with Ink and Error being morally rivals is quite nice to see. Highly recommend checking out if you have the time.
Fatal Error, 8.5: It seems like a pattern of sorts where I like to rate AU fusions higher than normal ones. I am not going to address it. The concept itself does seem like it should have plotholes, but when looking through it again, it mainly follows most of the rules the fanon canon set up, and it doesn't break anything to badly whilst telling a decent story. Nice.
Alphatale: I haven't had the time to read it yet, but it is one my hit-list. My opinion will be put here when fully read.
Fresh, 7: Notice how I said Fresh and not Underfresh. That's because, by my understanding of the canon, Fresh is just fresh. However, if I am wrong, it also doesn't matter. I like the idea of this AU, the more in-depth features of Fresh and how he is somehow not that tainted by the fanon. God save our souls, amen.

Not only has Rahafwabas said that every timeline could be considered canon, but whenever people have asked her about Chara or Frisk (someone asked if Chara or Frisk was in Killer’s body), she said that everyone Killer knew is gone and has been for a long time, that they aren’t real and it’s all “in his head.”
I have made up some of my own aus and even two alternative multiverses. There a bit basic but I enjoy creating them
IMO, AlphaTale is the best au, is has great amazing backstories, characters writing and stuff, but more importantly is not only about sanses or changed roles, it has a lot of new good characters end is concentrated on every single characters, is a shame that people never read this, overrate the characters, takes only fanon versions and says that 404 solos everyone whitout even knowing his actual powers,scale and abilities

Kinda hard to identify which is the first AU. People say its Underfell. Other say its Alphatale. The wiki says it was Kindred Spirits and Dreemurr Reborn.
