David is a perfectionist. He holds himself to the highest standards and he delivers EVERY.SINGLE.TIME.
This has been a favorite of David's live covers, and I was thrilled when I heard it was going to be on the album. The studio version has surpassed by expectations, which were pretty high.
Always loved David Cook's voice. This song shows off those vocals in the most fabulous way. On top of that, David produced the record himself, and you can really hear how all the added elements enhance the song. Nice job!
One of my favorite songs just got better because of The Voice! David Cook's voice is my drug. Haunting. Chills. His voice makes me FEEL this song! Wicked vocals. David Cook does it again! Must listen through head phones. I can't wait for Sept 18th & Digital Vein!

I've heard this song covered by so many different artists over the years, some good, some not so much. This version by Mr. Cook is one of my absolute favourites! it's start's out so hauntingly quiet, then turns deliciously dark. ...the vocals and production are impeccable and that ending whew...goosebumps...Well Done Sir

This is perfection.
Even though this is a cover, it would be a hit if released to radio. So powerful and emotive. Rather than trying to copy the original verbatim, which would be a mistake and impossible to duplicate, this version puts its own endearing stamp on a timeless classic. Very difficult for any artist. Well done.

Wow! What a Voice! To mention among many others, love how the only power notes at 3:09 gradually lowers down. I think a new one for you and fits well. 3:45 minutes seems too short and leaves me wanting for more. Shows how good this song is. Love also how the drums are being utilized like the alternating 3 beats and 4 beats. Clever. My opinion, a great job in producing the whole song, David Cook and congratulations. Love every minute of it.

Nothing like. Kris Allen's is Chris Isaak copy. Phillip Phillps is more of a reggae version. All were enjoyable though.
