Both of them...BOTH OF THEM...deserve ALL THE AWARDS. They did a bottle film that was an argument, showing the volatility of a toxic relationship, and held my attention. They did an AMAZING job. That damn macaroni! Lol
The film is amazing, it was genius in the way it was shot in black and white and the wide shot with filming multiple rooms at the same time like in deadpool (not as violent), lol. But great work by both actors cinematographer and writers, my favorite film of 2021 so far. John David Washington's best work to date hands down! No shade to Zendaya, but the fact that he's newer to the game I've got to give my brother his props

Great interview, I was just thinking about criticizing oneself and others. I saw Malcolm and Marie and that’s my type of drama, I really liked the movie, especially the performances. Zendaya is my favorite actor, and I am warming up to John David.

John David Washington... so good. I can’t wait to see what else he does. Great actor, with a powerful presence. If he doesn’t visit Wakanda in the future, it’s a crime. Zendaya is so professional. And an amazing talent. My first experience with her was in the MCU and man... she can act. I’d never recognize MJ as being that same human being.
"Malcolm & Marie" - Netflix - This is the type of movie where it takes a village in front and behind the scenes to pull off and they did. It simply works. They say the truth hurts. John David Washington and Zendaya spend nearly 2 hours beating each other over the head with their specific truths about each other. most couples spend an entire relationship avoiding this type of conversation. Make sure you are tuned in from the beginning because this dialogue begins based on an omission. Be sure to catch it. I like JDW he is making his way out of his dad's shadow but Zendaya is special. Her career arc is on fire. Yes it gets a little dry with the back and forth but it's minor compared to the whole. I love the black and white. 3.5 - 4 Netflix and Chills.
