The videography in this vlog is absolutely delicious! Beautifully well thought out and edited with a lovely balance of incredible music and intriguing oration. Every frame of B roll could be used as subject for an alluring painting . Thank you so much, I’m watching this on the eve of a 12 hour flight across the world to see my new grandson and it’s made me feel so warm inside. Never underestimate how much difference you can make to someone in such a positive way with what you are doing here. Honestly this was brilliant!! Liked and subscribed xx

Braunston Bakes looks amazing! I am now looking forward to this Christmas. Very best regards to you both and thanks so much for sharing.
Ah thank you so much! Both of us are from a photography background but the vlogs basically came from wanting to learn video and really falling in love with it :)
💜💙💚 Thank you Kris. This is wonderful. Now I have a list of things to do. Wine, cheese board and baking, to name a few. May your 2024 Christmas be crisp and snowy on the outside and warm and wonderful on the inside. 🎄❄☃ Tia
Well, now I’m going to need to make a wreath of oranges and bay leaves. Glad you had a cozy Christmas. My mother-in-law was deadly serious about Scrabble and whist.
Oh my goodness this was absolutely perfect at setting the Christmas mood. 🎄 🎅🏼 🤶 I had to rewind the Salvos band a few times to make sure that wasn’t my cat meowing. 😂 Wow, what a treat! That Christmas carols concert was so wholesome and charming. I loved alllll the wreaths, front doors, Christmas lights, and the musical selections. I really miss Christmas in the northern hemisphere and this was just the perfect balm for my soul. 💕💕💕
Kris, thank you for putting so much work into making these vlogs seem effortlessly beautiful - my husband and I are enjoying them immensely. We also love creation and good food 💞 we are watching your previous vlogs with much enjoyment and appreciation 🙏🏻💞
Lovely❄️🎄I might have to get some decorations out after watching this, I wish we had a village bake here. There is a lady who does sell Christmas baking and I’ve just ordered Christmas pudding ( steamed) and shortbreads from her. I make my own shortbread but daughter prefers whipped shortbread and I am not going to squish my dough through a cookie press only to have it all fall apart😂🤣. Everything looked pretty and yummy, great scenery as well👍🏼🙋🏼♀️
This has been typically exquisite. Based on prima facie mundane snippets beautifully blended and stitched to create a lovely confection. However I found myself asking, "Is it already Christmas in England? It's only November here in Oz! Confusing and enthralling in equal measure. Ha ha ha!
What a lovely Christmas... I feel like I've had one now, but if I need another one, will watch this again in one month's time. I wanted to be at Braunston Bakes and the concert and pretty much everywhere (apart from the really muddy towpaths and broken locks). Thank you both for a wonderful half hour 🎄🎅
I just discovered your channel a couple of weeks ago & binged watched all the content from the start of the narrow boat story & now I'm 'live' with the uploads. I love the style of the videos, with the mix of the narration & the live action, in the moment talk. The story telling is fantastic, with music suited to the mood of the moment & the interactions between you both. I'm so glad I discovered this channel & look forward to the ongoing adventures & misadventures to come.❤
Wonderful!!!! Love the nights images. The scenes at the Church, singing “Nowell”, candles leading the way, just beautiful. Braunston Bakes looked fantastic. What a steal, all those goodies for such a low price. I would be living on pastries. So nice to see Andrew’s mom, and that you had a chance to spend time with your family Kris. Glad you managed in the storm and through a broken lock, near the scene of the infamous scene of the lost glasses 👓 😢 . I hope that you both are on your way back to Braunston for this years bake and festivities. Thank you. 😊🤗❤️ Kathy
You’re really very good at this stuff aren’t you ? ❤️made it feel very like Christmas indeed. We really enjoy your vlogs and your style, you just keep us hanging on a little bit too long. ☮️
I’m quite new to this channel and i’ve been binge watching the videos and i’m a bit confused on the timeline but enjoining it none the less , it’s been quite inspiring for me watching you guys since i’m stuck with what i want to be doing career wise . Have a lovely rest of your sunday😊
Kris and Andrew 8:53 - loved this. Smashed it! You've sold narrowboats and more so Braunston to me. I'm moving there 😅. Who said the quintessentially english village is dead. Braunston seems to work hard at it 👍. I was drooling at the bakes. My fav apricot folds too but we only have mass produced for my local Cafe Nero (but still enjoy them)😊. Loved this vlog more please 🙏. Are you both still floating around narrowboating?
Kris, I was enjoying a relaxing Sunday evening with a (small) brandy and the dogs, contemplating a nice rise in my fantasy football rank and then you pop up. I am now not just confused about which day of the week or month it is but also which year. I did know this was a Sunday because the shops were closed, btw. I'm not quite that far gone. Sundays are easy. I shall have more to say on this when I've finished watching the video.
Makes my week every time I see an upload from you good people. Thank you for sharing your story as always. The production, soundtrack and pace of this was just 🥰
Best yet. This is better than any TV documentary. I don't celebrate Christmas but this made me feel all warm and fuzzy. Almost thinking about buying some tinsel!

Thank you! We’re still out on the boat, filming as we go. Kris puts so much care and attention into the editing process, which has made it the slowest part-hence the delay. The good news is, we already have another year’s worth of adventures recorded and waiting to be released!

I am not gonna lie I was a bit confused at first. Since we're entering a festive season and you guys upload pretty regularly it took me few more seconds to realize it is about the last Christmas. Other than that a lovely video as usual
Ooh, a brand new video. What an amazing church great find I don't watch all vlogs to the end so hope you had a good time there I just feel that vloggers whom get massive amounts of freebies and get paid don't respect that pensioners being strangled by uk government can't afford any heating this year
How lovely. I had a great time traveling along with you all. Could you please tell me what a “mooch” is? Now go on…get busy with the next video! Thank you❤
I always love the shots you bring into your videos, do you still use the Fujifilm's that are in the description - which one is the majority of the shots filmed with?
Yes, we use both and probably fairly equally. You wouldn’t be able to tell which one is which from the footage. They are in many way the same camera, but with different sensors so you’d have to look at a comparison and decide which one is more in line with what you’re looking for :)
Thanks so much for watching! Yeah of course. So we bought the boat in October 22, but I didn’t upload the first vlog until February the following year. We were just filming everything as we went, but I had to learn how to edit and figure out what I wanted it to be (between learning how to boat haha). So we started with a backlog, which has got shorter and longer since then, based on how busy I was with work/life. In some ways being a year behind makes more sense than 6 months, because at least it matches the seasons. I expect the backlog to get a bit shorter, but there will always be a delay of a few months because it just makes sense for me. The way we make these is that we film stuff as we go and then the vlog comes together in the edit, which means that there’s no pressure to have to make a vlog on any given week which I would find really stressful. Sometimes a vlog is a day, but sometimes it covers several weeks. Also for safety I don’t want to advertise where we are, so by the time the vlogs are out we’re in a totally different area. Hope that makes sense!
My money is on you kris with the next round of scrabble perhaps you should have a good luck charm maybe wear your wellies heehee. Happy Christmas to you both and mum.
Wot! No mince pies? Mince pies and Christmas pudding are the two great things about this season. I live in Australia, where the season is often spent at the beach. However it brings bushfires, where whole villages can be burnt to the ground.
