    Snowfall in California mountains were record breaking last winter. And it wasn't just in the Sierra, but all the mountains, even those lower ones on the coast. Duane Kuiper, Giants' game play by play announcer mentioned this during one of the San Francisco Giants games this past summer when Mount Diablo was focused on across the SF Bay by a camera at Oracle Park : "What's really cool is when the weather gets weird around here and there's snow on Mount Diablo." It's at about 3,500 feet in altitude.

    It doesn’t bother me the snow that is….we use to go to the field for 3 weeks in Germany in the snow sleeping in tents training every month. We had to train in any weather. I am use to it! We had to drive huge trucks with trailers etc in the snow and ice and more. I can handle winters I actually like all seasons!I am always winter ready and ready for all seasons. Thanks for this winter weather outlook. We get SNOW up this way..Lake Effect Snow to be exact and it doesn’t bother me…not driving in it or nothing! Plus they do an EXCELLENT JOB in keep roads clean and use the right things to melt ice on roads and all. Get some Gortex Winter Gear and head gear with dogs ears etc for the winter and dress appropriately and your good.

    The Pacific NW will be wet this winter not dry so the forecast is wrong El Ninos do sometimes bring wet winters to the Pacific NW like 1983 1998 and 2016 and the winter will be wet not dry like they are forecasting.

    I live in Pittsburgh and with a El-Nino or El-Nina I do NOT care what any weather expert ot analysis given the bottom line is that Pittsburgh will get the same Winter it has been having the past couple of decades and thats with major fluctuation in Temps but above average Temps mostly. Only a small handful to a couple of snowfall amounts that wont amount to anything significant especially that surface Temps will melt most all of the snow regardless of the amount. I love snowfall and needless to say since the past 2 decades i have been frustrated & disappointed! I am in My late 40’s and ALWAYS remembered growing up as a kid playing in the snow, sled riding, building snowmen and massive snowballs. Sadly those days are OVER! I completely disregard any predictions because I can tell You or atleast Myself what the Pittsburgh and most SW PA winter will be like!

    • @MeMawx2
      @MeMawx2 9 месяцев назад +1

      Hey, I live in Pittsburgh, too, and can remember the snow drifts in our back yard so bad my Dad had to dig through them to get into the house. We would be off school for at least two to three days sometimes. My grandkids really haven't had a winter where they can sled ride for days on just one snowfall. Snow is nice if you don't have to drive in it to get to work. Thank goodness the Parkways always seem to be pretty decent if you have to drive somewhere.

      I am NOT a climate Person infact very far from those ideologies however i can say with 100% certainty and facts because I have experienced it that in Pittsburgh and the Northwest part of PA the Winter Weather has SIGNIFICANTLY changed! (Atleast mostly with Snowfall amounts) but also with the fluctuations in air temps. I am in my late 40’s and growing up as a Kid i have always played in the snow, sled riding, school delays/Cancl. With long stretches of snow on the ground with several inches. This does NOT happen here anymore!

    • @Drforeverok

      No, 🤣 climate is weather over a large period of time. Weather is just temps over a short period. The "climate" is indeed changing. Weather extremes in winter are NORMAL!
