Oh Vicki, I don’t envy you at all all. Having to choose from these extremely gorgeous fabrics is so hard. My favorite is the last one (expensive shipping 🤣🤣). Good luck 🍀 💖💖, Karen.
The Liberty print will make a fab short sleeve blouse and be very wearable. I seem to remember that pattern has lots of small classy details especially suited to a precious fabric.
Hi Vicki, I love the dress you are wearing 😍. All the fabric you showed are just gorgeous, but my favorite is the 3rd piece, I think it would make a beautiful shirt dress. Nice visiting with you, Katinka
Hi Vicki. Your Shirt dress is beautiful. I just heard of this challenge this year and it's interesting to see. I have precious fabric I'm just not ready to part with just yet, but maybe next year.😅
Hi Vicki, your plans sound great. I hope you use the Lady McElroy fabric, I think it’s called Life in Venice. It’s so beautiful. I made a gift for someone using this fabric and have never seen them wear it so I’d love to see it being worn. Maybe a shirt dress that doesn’t have too many seams to break up the pattern? It is quite lightweight so might need a slip or lining. Good luck, whatever you do.
Thanks so much for watching. Yes, Life in Venice is the name, thanks for reminding me. It’s so disappointing when someone doesn’t use a handmade gift, but they’re probably saving it because they treasure it so much.
Love, love your fabrics! You really nailed the fit on the dress you’re wearing. I have sewn w Tana lawn fabric and have concerns that it doesn’t have enough drape for either of the patterns you mentioned. I recommend a more structured blouse. I sewed the Fitzroy from Liesl & Co and love the fit and the sleeves have some tucks at the cuff. As for that wonderful drapey print, it is made and you have enough to make a tiered dress I’m thinking Pattern emporium Meet You There or Take the Chance. Whitney made a beautiful MYT dress. If you can’t go gathered, a wrap style dress would be lovely as well. Can’t wait to see your makes!
Thanks so much for watching. I’ve worked on that shirtdress pattern for a couple summers now, thanks for the kind words about the fit. And thanks for the pattern recommendations, I’ll definitely check them out.
Love the pink, Vicki, we were together in Rochester and I bought some of the pink fabric too. I love it just as much, I have older precious fabric, but certainly could use that for this challenge. Seems more of a spring fabric, tho. Can’t wait to see what you do with it. Love, love the McElroy print, see it as a shirt dress. A fun challenge for sure. (Deb)
Thanks for watching, Deb. How could I forget our max dash over to Ginny’s to buy that fabric. Funny how you haven’t sewn yours up either. Miss seeing you on Instagram. Hope all is well. My Country Dancer rose really took off this year.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful fabrics! That abstract landscape is gorgeous!
Love your fabric and I can see a kimono robe with it. Can wait to see what you pick.

Love your pink feather fabric. I wonder what you will make? Looking forward to seeing your finished make 💖😊
Thanks so much for watching.
The big print could be nice on a shift dress or a shirt dress
