People seem to have mixed opinions about Tekken 7's Story, to me it's a good story mode, but here is what I think the game is missing and what I want for future installments of this great franchise: - Along with the native dub, there should also be an all English dub for all the characters with the option to select between the full dub or native languages, like Street Fighter x Tekken; - be able to turn on or off hit effects; - complete move listing for all the characters; - old school Arcade mode with at least 8 battles including a Prologue, Rival Fight and Ending for all the characters (all fighting games should have this, don't fix it if it's not broken); These individual stories can be a prequel to the game's general story as an idea; - non spoiled General Story Mode, featuring all the characters and with less narration if possible; - an alternative simplified way of performing difficult to learn moves such as chain throws and holds; - a complete tutorial with all the mechanics, for example, it can show how to counter throws and chain throws (there should be a trick to each one); - return of character specific themes; - all characters should have low and mid-high counter moves to reduce the amount of throws for some of them; - each character should have his\her own stage; I do realize that most of these features require more effort, passion, time and money, but others can be dropped. For example, 2-3 outfits per character are more than enough.
It was pretty satisfying to have Kazuya get his revenge, but...it could have been a little better. Imagine if they just had like 15 minutes of cutscenes of the actual tournament Heihachi announced and some dream fights (Paul v Kuma, Kuma v Paul, Law v Paul, Yoshimitsu v Raven, Bryan v Yoshimitsu, etc) or maybe throw in a Eddie v Kazuya fight in the story. Also have Bruce and Anna fight Nina as she tries to get Jin's body. Then whoever wins the tournament, have them lose to Akuma, who is merely seeking power (the Devil Gene), who then proceeds to "kill" Heihachi. ...Later in the end, after Kazuya beats Heihachi and Akuma, have Jin fly in via helicopter and fight Kazuya. Meanwhile, as Kazuya beats Jin and extracts his Devil Gene, Heihachi on the verge of death, sells his soul to Jun, and then she emerges from the lava and completely defeats Kazuya. After Jin reawakens, he cries in joy...only to see Jun turn into the Devil, Kazumi, for it wasn't really Jun after all. On the verge of defeat, Kazuya jumps in front of Kazumi's blast to save Jin! After redeeming himself, Kazuya's body slowly disappears, but in it's place a white feather falls down...suddenly an Angel appears, and clashes with the Devil Kazumi. In a brutal shriek of rage, Angel unleashes a devastating blast, obliterating the demon for good. Akuma in the far distance, picks himself up, and realizing the Devil Gene is gone, turns and walks with his back towards the camera, mutters something about Psycho powers, and refocuses his attention to events in Street Fighter VI, starring Jin, who can now summon Angel. lol
...are you high or something? I mean, one thing if you're uninformed, but this is blatant ignorance. If you know the deeper context of what was going on, you'd know: Before Kazumi got killed, he literally killed his own father, Jinpachi, by trapping him under Hon-Maru for life. Considering the order in which it all happened, this would mean, he had already committed murder beforehand without a single hint of remorse by then, why are we supposed to root or mourn for this overtly spoiled and entitled douchebag? He killed his father so that he can take over the Zaibatsu, what exactly changes here? He just killed his wife under the same notion of probably erasing witnesses.
@@JazzStation95 He did all of this for her's and Jinpachi's sake... and now he learns, what he has been ultimately fighting for, was all just a lie, meaning, he causes so much grief for NOTHING.
@@djjin5768 true, never said that Heihaci was a hero or anything. But just because he's doing stuff thats evil doesn't mean he doesn't feel emotions. How would you feel if you had to kill somone you loved dearly?
For me that part was sad, so as Kazuya when he was a kid trying to understand why hid father killed his mother. Dude, that hit me too. And he never understood, just focus till the end to kill his father as revenge :/ And still the way I see Heihachi at that fight was like he needed to do it but like he does not want it to do it, tho. Like in the final battle was he getting flashbacks of every single fight with Kazuya, I understand it as regretting all what he did to his son, and maybe he knew that that moment he will die :'/
Just watched Tekken Bloodlines and it got me replaying this game and now I'm watching the story mode. I honestly forgot how much I love Tekken. I don't why people say that this storyline sucks. I love it.
@@gurbachanjathol5404 Because (most) Tekken characters speak in the language that their country speaks. E.g Miguel speaks Spanish, Xiaoyu speaks Chinese, Bob speaks English, etc.
Couple of problems with Tekken 7. 1. They got rid of the individual stories 2. Jin is asleep for 99% of the game 3. We don't know who the detective is and don't even see his face so frankly we can't sympathise with him and his dead family nor do we give a fuck about him. He should have been replaced with Lei an actual detective character from Tekken. 4. Akuma randomly appearing being related to Kazumi and then going away with absolutely 0 character development and no fight against a devil or Kazuya was just dumb as hell and they forced him into the story in a really crappy way. Generally the story only involves a few characters
Agree 100% with 1,3 and 4. I actually didn't bother Jin been so absent during the story mode because we finally saw Kazuya and Heihachi ending their issues from the first game. But respect your opinion.
Omg I just watched the Netflix series of Tekken and I'm now hooked. I remember my late brother playing this game when I was younger and I didn't think I'd ever care to dig into it but after watching the series omg I was blown away. I never thought I'd be a gamer or the day would come when I'd buy Tekken but it's here and I am so happy I did. I never seen a story where the main character isn't even in the beginning or a story where the entire family plays huge roles and any one of them can be viewed as the main. Jin is everything you ever wanted in a main character.. he is troubled with family loss, has to fight within his family as well as powerful does. He is both seen as good and possibly a villain. He has a dark power and is capable of mass destruction as well as pure resolve. I love Tekken 💕
Heihachi: *killed Kazuya's mom because she tried to kill him.* Kazuya: *"allegedly" killed Heihachi because he killed his mom.* Jin: My grandma is who again...? Nevermind, I'll just take a nap for 99% of the story.
I think Jin took a back seat like this because this game REALLY wanted to focus more on Heihachi and Kazuya (hell the both of them are on the cover of this game lol)
Before you know it, they'll start adding characters from Skyrim and others for the fuck of it, and then Mario and Luigi will have to get in on the action once King Koopa makes plans to help G-Corp stop rogue plumbers, the GMO Fire Flower used by mario and luigi is suspected to have been grown from the devil gene, etc. Racoon Mario then has a stand-off with Devil Jin and Kazuya, only to be saved by the Hammer bros and Pokemon characters.
Tbh even if kazuya defeated heihachi *Barely* it's quite pathethic and humiliating that he had to use his devil form to even fight on par with heihachi, a mere human.....heihachi is a monster lol.
@@deadrock1678 He never fought Devil in Tekken 2, that was Jun, he only even knew about the Devil's existence in Tekken 4 as shown in Kazuya's ending, though it's hard to say if Kazuya was weakened after Jun fought Devil when he faced Heihachi or not now
@Alain Smith If you know Natasha Romanov's The Black Widow from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, then understanding Nina should be a lot easier, as she is quite similar in character, Nina is an assasin with a conscience, and some Daddy issues (her father was the only man she ever loved and trusted, but he was killed when she was young) and also sister issues, (her sister is Anna Williams, they hate each other, and are often trying to kill each other, as they blame each other for their fathers death. She is morally ambiguous at best, and usually has good intentions, but with horrible methods of attaining them, she's a killer, but not a heartless one, (This is why she didn't kill Steve Fox, her son, who she didn't know was her son at the time, even though she was hired to kill him) and although she kills people, and acts and behaves in a manner that is highly questionable, she usually does it if she knows that killing them would lead to the greater good, this is why she allied herself with Jin Kazama in Tekken 6, even though Jin threw the world into a World War, because although she knew many lives would be lost, she understood that Jin did it so that he could summon the demon god Azazel, who was the creator of the devil gene that Jin and his father Kazuya Mishima possessed, so that he could kill Azazel, thus ending the devil gene from the face of the earth. So, she worked for him, so that she could help save the earth. She's a morally conflicted character, and tragic character, one simply trying to do the right thing, even though her methods are quite evil. Anna is more carefree and heartless.
@Alain Smith She's a mixed bag. Regarding her rivalry with her sister, she's the pettier and more cruel of the two: Anna has attempted to bury the hatchet with her sister on a number of occasions, but Nina always refuses. In this game alone, she killed Anna's husband-to-be on the day of their wedding and stole her wedding dress, even wearing it after completing the mission just to taunt her sister. Granted, the guy was a crime lord, but Nina went too far. She works for Jin, an anti-hero, but she is neither truly loyal to him nor does she share his beliefs.
*The year is 3022, Tekken 25 has just finally released. But the fuel between the Mishima bloodline has yet to end. Find out next time in a few more years in Tekken 99 to find out if the Mishima's are finally stopped* -I stg if this actually happens I will commit-
Tekken 4 had the best overall story. Even the prologues and epilogues are still not matched to this day. This series seriously needs to get back to the glory of Tekken 4 & 5
Pretty much this. The new characters will certainly benefit a lot on this with a proper prologue, epilogue as well as a rival interlude scenes which would have helped developed and build the characters better.
Lee's outfit is a throwback to one of Heihachi's older outfits from Tekken 3 and Tag Tournament. It's really suits him, and the silver hair helps as well. I kind of hope they keep it. XD

I was waiting for Blanka and Dhalism to show up as cheesy backup for Akuma to make this even more pathetic, and then have Ryu save Jin because they look alike and stuff. Hadouken? Just no.
what's the point of the narrator character? they could have used one of the game characters for that, they could have used miguel since he has the same my family is death story as the reporter man in the story mode, or Lei since he's a detective it really baffles me that they went for introducing this unknown character and made him irrelevant
While majority of story mode is pretty bad, everything that happens in the volcano is amazing. Not only the location, but also the fact that both Heihachi and Kazuya are in the wrong. I don't want either of them to win, but still watch intensely and can't wait to see how it ends. It almost made up for how bad the rest of the story is.
That's most likely why Jin is being built as the true protagonist as his goals are way more noble. Yeah starting a war to pretty much end it worked for a short time but had MAJOR conquences. But it does seem his is trying to go on the right track especially with Lars helping him out now despite hating his guts in 6 (makes sense though Jin was pretty much the main antagonist of that game for the most part)
I actually really like the way that parts of the story is told by the journalist's perspective,it gave the player the sense of how bad the war is for normal people
@@toxification "(Jin) was also the one who started this damn war, which took everything from me. I dreamed of one day killing him with my bare hands..." - The Journalist, after Jin accidently spilled wine on his carpet
I like how casually Jin states that it's his duty to kill Kazuya as that mark appears on his forehead, it kinda tells me that he learned to control the Devil Gene in him
@@aimanh.2827 Yeah I can't believe how right I was. I knew there would be something like that, but I didn't think it would be a full-on arc of his story.
Sonic Boom Productions What do you mean incomplete? They answer the relevant questions to this game's plot. Again this is the conclusion to the Mishima saga. Here it's explained how the Mishima's of hatred began and why. It explains where Kazuya's Devil Gene origin. It explains why Heihachi threw his son off the cliff and why he killed his wife as well as conclude the long battle between Kazuya and Heihachi that's been going on ever since Tekken 1.
Shreeder4092 Yeah Harada's an Asshole apparently some people were able to buy & play the game earlier than others even though the official release date said it was June 2nd 😒
My theory is that when Kzuya had flashbacks at the end, in reality Heihachi was explaining his reasonings and confessing his love for Kazuya and Kazumi. He may have also asked him to patch up, or just offered to be killed. But Kazuya was so filled with hatred and adrenaline that he could only see what he was traumatised by, and eventually finished off his father regardless. Hence in the end he speaks so solemnly after tossing Heihachi in the volcano.
For all this story mode’s flaws (dozens and dozens), it definitely had its moments. The Honmaru fight, Lars and Alisa reuniting, the final battle and pretty much every cutscene with Lee in it made sitting through that fucking narrator’s scenes worth it. Just about.
Kinda disappointed. There was no deeper or complex meaning to why Heihachi did everything he did. The trailers really made you think the story would be more meaningful. It didn't feel like Kazuya and Heihachi got that much closure together before Heihachi died. Not even a long conversation to spill everything about each others motive/thoughts and feelings before engaging in their final battle. It wasn't as grand or emotional as people were expecting. The closest it got to that was when Kazuya was getting flashbacks of the past games before dealing the final blow, but it felt like te game needed to explore that aspect of their relationship more in order for the ending to feel more satisfying. I expected Heihachi to admit he was proud of Kazuya in some way. Like a last minute father/son bonding moment, even though they despise each other. Oh well, I could rant on forever. I guess I put my expectations too high for a fighting game story mode. But as a longtime Tekken fan waiitng for the "epic" conclusion, I wanted a bigger send off for Heihachi.
I'm also disappointed a little bit, but for different reasons. The rest of the characters except Nina, Lars, Alisa, Lee, Jin, Kazuya, Akuma, Kazumi, Jack, Claudio and Heihachi were neglected and most of the story was spoiled in the trailers. At least there could've been some small cameos for the rest of the cast...They instead got some short, like really short story sections. Although it's surprising, Street Fighter V did it better in this regard, both the general story and the character stories are longer and more detailed. In terms of visuals and choreography, Tekken takes the cake though.
Guy Guino Ever since Tekken 4 and the way that game presented the story, my expectations were always high for the story. Only to be shot down each fucking time..First time Tekken 5, then 6 and now it may be 7....siiiiiiiiighhhhhhhhhh
I really hope that the absent characters will make it to the 8th game. Like how can you not use Anna for this one where Nina is one of the mains? What about Christie going after Eddie who is under Jin's orders? Some characters are seriously needed in the main stroyline and will definitely be needed in the upcoming game.
I wish this story just had more depth into it. I LOVE the conflict between Kazuya and his farther but let’s be real most of it had to focus on the aftermath of Tekken 6 and half the time Kazuya was sitting behind a desk. Originally I thought this game will let us choose who we wanted to play as during the fights like in the E3 demo and we’d also get some alternative cutscenes. I also was expecting to see more cutscenes about Kazuya’s childhood with Lee, His affair with Jun, His relationship with his grandfather. I know this doesn’t add to the story, but it would be nice to watch more about life than just hear about it. Because I’m just sorta tired of having to read the backstory of each character online from some fan wiki site and going “ohh wow! If only they showed it in the game” I would like to know more about Akuma and Kazumi’s relationship too. On another note: a classic arcade mode like in TK-5 that has 8 rounds and boss battle, would be so much fun! But other than that, hopefully the conflict between Jinn and Kazuya would be even cooler! For TK 8
Yeah that's really sad though, it just seems from that point onwards they've not known what to do with the story, watching this it's like they re-conned every good part of the story.
Yep, I find it weird myself. There should have an option to switch to an all English or Japanese voice-overs, or native. But I'm guessing it's easier this way and it costs less money, although it's also unrealistic.
The Zaibatsu is a Japanese military company while G-Corp is an American company. Their official headquarters are in Nebraska according to the Tekken wiki
There was work on a device you could speak X language into, and it would say the same in Y languages. Then the speakers of Y language spoke into it, and it spoke out X language. Basically serving as a translator. For say use in places that don't really speaking English or what ever language. I like to think they all have such a thing inside their brain Star Trek style. It translates every language into one you know in real time. So for you it just sounds like the person is speaking a language you know.
The story to me had some sense in there…The narrator had lost his family like Migel lost his sister and wanted revenge on Jin Kazuma, but all signs pointed at Heihichi, who wanted a normal life for a growing family, but the Hajichos have hatred for the Mishimas and wanted them all gone. Heihichi killed his wife to put an end to the hatred of the Hajichos (Sadly ending their love life), but knew Kazuya had it in him too to cause him throw him off the cliff which started everything to the point that both G Corporations and Mishima Zaibatsu were buried, Kazuya revealed his true devil form, displayed their feelings in their fists to point Kazuya killed his father. As of now, the world points to the hero who will end it all…the one who decided to be the villain but in truth was the one who will put an end to the Devil Gene…Jin Kazuma himself.
Still doesn't explain why Kazuya and Jins relationship is so bad or why Heihichi and his dads relationship is so bad or how or the grand dad had the devil gene but Heihichi did not.
WaifuBeater Jinpachi with the Devil Gene is unknown to me…but if Kazuya was there with Jun at the time before the Third Tekken Tournament when Ogre attacked, Jun wouldn't be missing or dead and both of them would have been on good terms. Either way, Kazuya hasn't raised Jin alongside Jun, because of his greed for power and dominance, cause of that it has ruined his life and lives of others as well. So now Jin has to be the one who ends it to make sure no one else suffers from this war anymore…
Sounds good on paper, but the themes and narrative just weren't executed very well. Plus they coul've used 2 hours instead of one to flesh everything out. The plot twist with Kazumi's family being demon assassins or something was rushed and didn't get much explanation. While its theme on the cycle of hatred is profound in itself, the execution was so dull and not fleshed out at all.
Jinpachi was never in possession of the Devil Gene. Rather, was he himself possessed by a completely unrelated entity during his brief resurrection Tekken 5.
Well seeing how a lot of the character endings reference Tekken Tag Tournament 2, I feel that perhaps Jun may come back in the next game to deal with her ex-lover and son lol
Would be ironic if Heihachi sold his soul to Jun/Kazumi and she got reincarnated or something like that. Kinda like how Kazuya's Devil Gene kept him alive or whatever the hell happened the first time he was tossed off a cliff. After Jun beats Kazuya, Jin is so happy only to discover Jun transform into Kazumi aka the the Devil. Something, something, Jun, Something, something, Angel. Fin.
Am I the only dude mad that Akuma didn't have more to do with the story? How did Kazumi save his life? And tbh I wanted them to show that Akuma whooped Kazuya before that big ass blast
First Heihachi tossed a child Kazuya off a cliff, then Kazuya also tossed Heihachi in Tekken 1, after he recovered and grew up. Afterwards, Heihachi tossed Kazuya off a volcano in Tekken 2 and now, in Tekken 7, Kazuya tossed Heihachi too, ending the cycle of despair.
Kazuya also survived thanks to the Devil Gene, which Heihachi doesn't have. And what was the point of this final battle after 20+ years if Heihachi will return in T8 anyway? That wouldn't make sense if Heihachi still got out of the volcano. I'm sure they'll bring back Heihachi, but only gameplay-wise.
Am I the only one who is hyped up with this story mode? Like I have no complaints? If there is something else I didn't like, it would be Kazumi betraying Heihachi, the devil gene must've took its toll on her body and mind which made her act that way. But I'm still relieved because the Mishima Saga isn't really over.. We still have Kazuya and Jin...
Alhea Barcebal I agree with you 100% I just wish some of my questions were answered a bit more clearly like how did Akuma (A character from a completely different franchise make his way into a different franchise's main story) & why did Kazumi suddenly turn on Heihachi, who were the Hachijo family (Kazumi's family) & how did the Devil Gene came to be?
Alhea Barcebal Sigh that's Harada for ya 😌, but overall like you said hell of a ride especially the Heihachi & Kazuya fight 😆, sad the way Heihachi went out tough 😑 but the fighting was epic 😆
Alhea Barcebal Yeah same here 😄, I main Kazuya & he's my favorite character since Tekken first debuted!!! 😆, & yeah R.I.P Heihachi 😞, but about that I don't know a part of me feels like he's not really dead 😐, maybe it's just denial or something I don't know but what do you think? 😃
SPOILER The main story in this game is kinda.... I dunno.... short, too short actually, they could've make the main story longer, they could've end the whole Mishima story in this game, after Heihachi's death, they can actually jump right to Jin and Kazuya confrontation, because come on, you see Jin, but you don't get to play as him in the story mode?, that's just not right. =_= I like the main story actually, it's good enough, Heihachi's death was unexpected for me, I thought they're both gonna die. Although the journalist guy was just plain disturbing, the story can still go on without him, Akuma wasn't necessary as well, I don't know what are the people in Bandai Namco thinking, but somehow they shoehorned Akuma into this story, it's forced. Also this one is really disturbing me, the other character's story mode!, I mean WTF?!, they only have one fight per character?!, their story weren't even compelling anymore!, Josie could be a promising character, but the story mode makes her look like a useless character, the way they deal with the other characters was just lazy. I don't like it. =_=
I totally agree. It was way too short. I would have been okay with it if we had got a story mode for every single character just like in Tekken 5. The game has no replayability for casual players like me, only for people who play professionally in tournaments or online.
damn i can relate to the story of kazuya and heihachi..me and my father never got along but hes dead now... that Oscar Wilde quote really hit home for me
After all this, you find yourself feeling bad for Heiachi and Kazuya. It turns they were both victims of circumstance rather than a delusional tradition (which was many of us were originally led to believe). It turned out the true catalyst of the feud was the same woman both men had cared for more than themselves, Kazumi Mishima (who turned out to be an even worser parent than Heiachi was later in life). It's very tragic that their feud with eachother actually began with love, only to end in hatred.
Im confused, Jin started the war to actually help everyone from azazel, and he did explained it to Lars, then why Lars shows so much hate on Jin although he saw Jin sacrifised himself to save the world?
Jin did start a war to save the world but your ignoring the consequences. Every action has consequences and in this case even though Azazel was destroyed the world is still fucked because of the war.
ごめん Haradaさん, I think everyone expected more from the story... And the ending movies are just.. like they run off ideas ,got bored or something like that, especially Nina's.
Otaku hajimemashita I was hyped! I thought we're going to play as Nina infiltrating a wedding or something and kick ass. They dressed her in a wedding gown and set it by default! just for thst short idiotic cut scene. Oh that leather suit... how I hope we can unlock it
The best way for Tekken 8's story IMO: There has to be a character, who will be able to help Kazuya's good side achive triumps over his Devil Gene. It can't be Jin Kazama, because he posesses even more powerful form of DG. His victory will result world-war or even it's desctruction. Kazuya by himself isn't bad. He lived with sole purpose of vengeance. He fulfilled this goal. Now it's time to morally "cleanse" his soul and let him restore Mishima's peaceful state as it was before Heihachi's takeover.
Lara's Best friend Not really. She was more of a chaotic good. Well, her devil side, that is. The reason she married him was in order to stop Heihachi from causing so much damage to everyone since it was her family's mission for centuries. However, she did love him with all her heart, but her devil side was more determined to complete their duty.
Shin Akuma well yeah but I mean all started from kazumi and not heihachi? And she did say to kill kazuya too and in the trailer it seemed like she cared about him..I'm just confused and also I wanted to see jin marry xiaoyu as harada said but no..I saw Claudio beat the shit out of her instead..😭
Nah, Kazumi married heihachi to keep an eye on him and to stop him if needed, but fell head over heels for him (considering how much of a manly badass heihachi is, a lot of girls probably did). However when heihachi put his plan in motion, kazumi's devil side won over, and she attacked him(we all know how that went). Kazuya was pissed, challenged daddy, daddy won and trew him off a cliff to test his sons devil side or lack of thereof(again we all know how that went), starting the mishima feud. So kazumi is good, devil kazumi is lawful neutral, heihachi is lawful evil, and kazuya is chaotic evil. Oh and jin is good too apparently. Still waiting for the M. nigh shamalamadingdong plot twist to occur.
They could've used Lei as the narrator/investigator and Wang as the old man the narrator visited. Since he and Jinpachi were best friends, I figured he'd know about the situation between Heihachi and Kazumi as well
50:17 What the hell you can’t just cancel it the tournament is a staple of this franchises story even tekken 8 had it play an important role in the plot.
To be fair, this was their first attempt at an actual story mode unlike Tekken 6's Scenario Campaign, and they didn't have a hugh budget due to Tekken Tag Tournament 2's failure, which is why the narrator bits are just pictures and not cutscenes.
People seem to have mixed opinions about Tekken 7's Story, to me it's a good story mode, but here is what I think the game is missing and what I want for future installments of this great franchise:
- Along with the native dub, there should also be an all English dub for all the characters with the option to select between the full dub or native languages, like Street Fighter x Tekken;
- be able to turn on or off hit effects;
- complete move listing for all the characters;
- old school Arcade mode with at least 8 battles including a Prologue, Rival Fight and Ending for all the characters (all fighting games should have this, don't fix it if it's not broken); These individual stories can be a prequel to the game's general story as an idea;
- non spoiled General Story Mode, featuring all the characters and with less narration if possible;
- an alternative simplified way of performing difficult to learn moves such as chain throws and holds;
- a complete tutorial with all the mechanics, for example, it can show how to counter throws and chain throws (there should be a trick to each one);
- return of character specific themes;
- all characters should have low and mid-high counter moves to reduce the amount of throws for some of them;
- each character should have his\her own stage;
I do realize that most of these features require more effort, passion, time and money, but others can be dropped. For example, 2-3 outfits per character are more than enough.
@DrewTony'z I think Mishima Kazumi is the Bigger Bad of the entire Tekken series in general.

You can say anything you want about the story.
But Heihachi crying over his wife that betrayed him...
Man that was so sad...
...are you high or something?

Couple of problems with Tekken 7.
1. They got rid of the individual stories
2. Jin is asleep for 99% of the game

Jin is everything you ever wanted in a main character.. he is troubled with family loss, has to fight within his family as well as powerful does. He is both seen as good and possibly a villain. He has a dark power and is capable of mass destruction as well as pure resolve. I love Tekken 💕

They got my girl Nina thinking she Sonya Blade
Frag grenade, flash grenade in her ending, hmm...I believe so too, although it's a good thing.
Sonya Blade wishes she was Nina.
She is morally ambiguous at best, and usually has good intentions, but with horrible methods of attaining them, she's a killer, but not a heartless one,
(This is why she didn't kill Steve Fox, her son, who she didn't know was her son at the time, even though she was hired to kill him) and although she kills people, and acts and behaves in a manner that is highly questionable, she usually does it if she knows that killing them would lead to the greater good, this is why she allied herself with Jin Kazama in Tekken 6, even though Jin threw the world into a World War, because although she knew many lives would be lost, she understood that Jin did it so that he could summon the demon god Azazel, who was the creator of the devil gene that Jin and his father Kazuya Mishima possessed, so that he could kill Azazel, thus ending the devil gene from the face of the earth.
So, she worked for him, so that she could help save the earth.
She's a morally conflicted character, and tragic character, one simply trying to do the right thing, even though her methods are quite evil.
Anna is more carefree and heartless.
@Alain Smith Hope this helps.

I have to say, Akuma added to this story is stupid and raises unneeded questions for us and the characters
Honestly, as a guy who was hyped by Akuma's appearance and fights with Heihachi and Kazuya, I agree.
It was pretty satisfying to have Kazuya get his revenge, but it could have been a little better.
There could be a story expansion to finally end this story once in for all
well they did finally killed Heihachi
This does end the Mishama saga dude. The Mishima saga has always been about the conflict between Kazuya and Heihachi. Heihachi is dead now.
Anthony Doc this conclusion is too incomplete. So many other questions, unanswered.
Holy crap I've never thought that the full story would be released this early. Thank you for providing this.
After Jin kill his father, Jins child is going to have to kill him, then so on and so on.

Guy Guino I thought I was the only one that felt this way
Maybe near death experience draws the devil gene power to unlock in the blood Heihachi will come back as a demon
Guy Guino Ever since Tekken 4 and the way that game presented the story, my expectations were always high for the story. Only to be shot down each fucking time..First time Tekken 5, then 6 and now it may be 7....siiiiiiiiighhhhhhhhhh

If only they showed it in the game”

How does that end anything? Seriously. Seems like they can easily bring Heihachi back and continue the cycle.
And they will. Heihachi will survive for sure.
Kazuya also survived thanks to the Devil Gene, which Heihachi doesn't have. And what was the point of this final battle after 20+ years if Heihachi will return in T8 anyway? That wouldn't make sense if Heihachi still got out of the volcano. I'm sure they'll bring back Heihachi, but only gameplay-wise.
kbarokut2010
I said gameplay-wise.
who bets heihachi didn't die?
SNGaming who bets he comes back as a dlc
Me
I will be pissed. They already faked his death once. His death here is actually meaningful. If they undo that, I am done with Tekken's story
Alhea Barcebal I agree with you 100% I just wish some of my questions were answered a bit more clearly like how did Akuma (A character from a completely different franchise make his way into a different franchise's main story) & why did Kazumi suddenly turn on Heihachi, who were the Hachijo family (Kazumi's family) & how did the Devil Gene came to be?
last but not the least. Didn't Harada mentioned that Kazumi already revealed her powers to him? I mean, how true is this.
Alhea Barcebal Sigh that's Harada for ya 😌, but overall like you said hell of a ride especially the Heihachi & Kazuya fight 😆, sad the way Heihachi went out tough 😑 but the fighting was epic 😆
I'm in Kazuya's side.. But I was indeed sad by what happened to Heihachi.
R.I.P. Heihachi Mishima...
45:44 that is why I fucking love Lee XD
I expected more between Kazuya & Heihachi... Also, what was up with that Journalist dry ass story telling?!
SPOILER
The main story in this game is kinda.... I dunno.... short, too short actually, they could've make the main story longer, they could've end the whole Mishima story in this game, after Heihachi's death, they can actually jump right to Jin and Kazuya confrontation, because come on, you see Jin, but you don't get to play as him in the story mode?, that's just not right. =_=
I like the main story actually, it's good enough, Heihachi's death was unexpected for me, I thought they're both gonna die.
@@TheYoutubaki can i know who dies in the game or it is just Heihachi and who is the journalist
end of the mishima saga, enter the Devil wars!!!
“Omae wa mou shindeiru”

We were all expecting a huge story mode, but I just see I'm not the only one to be very disappointed. The story is just 100X time better in Tekken 4.
Tekken should've ended after 5.
@@whodatninja439 it cant end after tekken 5
17:33 middle of the night used tekken 7 music as a sample no wayyyy
The story is tolerable
But that narrator's voice acting is... really, really bad.
damn i can relate to the story of kazuya and heihachi..me and my father never got along but hes dead now... that Oscar Wilde quote really hit home for me
After all this, you find yourself feeling bad for Heiachi and Kazuya. It's very tragic that their feud with eachother actually began with love, only to end in hatred.
its nice how they all talk in a different language yet they all understand each other.
Mishima is actually voice by the same voice actor who voiced Joseph Joestar
This is the best game of all time
@Tigran Abazyan Please look him up if you don't know about him.
Lee had purple hair, Trunks had purple hair. Lee has blue hair now, Trunks has blue hair now. Lee and Trunks are the same person.👁
42:38 I like how Lee is thirdwheeling here :D
Im confused, Jin started the war to actually help everyone from azazel, and he did explained it to Lars, then why Lars shows so much hate on Jin although he saw Jin sacrifised himself to save the world?
Jin did start a war to save the world but your ignoring the consequences. Every action has consequences and in this case even though Azazel was destroyed the world is still fucked because of the war.
@@syzorst Lars was also furious that Alisa allegedly died trying to protect Jin.
I hope more characters join Jin, Lars, Lee and Alisa to take down kazuya
ごめん Haradaさん,
I think everyone expected more from the story...
And the ending movies are just.. like they run off ideas ,got bored or something like that, especially Nina's.
Otaku hajimemashita You should tell him 失礼します if you want to complain.
I'm sorry my Japanese are not that good :[
Thank you for telling me ^^
Otaku hajimemashita I was hyped! I thought we're going to play as Nina infiltrating a wedding or something and kick ass. They dressed her in a wedding gown and set it by default! just for thst short idiotic cut scene. Oh that leather suit... how I hope we can unlock it
The best way for Tekken 8's story IMO:
There has to be a character, who will be able to help Kazuya's good side achive triumps over his Devil Gene. It can't be Jin Kazama, because he posesses even more powerful form of DG. His victory will result world-war or even it's desctruction. Kazuya by himself isn't bad. He lived with sole purpose of vengeance. He fulfilled this goal. Now it's time to morally "cleanse" his soul and let him restore Mishima's peaceful state as it was before Heihachi's takeover.
the conversation between Heihachi and Claudio is hilarious
I would've like it if they leave Akuma out of the Tekken 7 story mode.
Hopefully Jun will be on the next game (If ever there will be Tekken 8) since it's her family's story this time, her son and husband(?).
So..kazumi is the evil one and not heihachi? I'm a little disappointed too short and the character stories was ridiculous
Well, Heihachi did betray Jin by shooting him in the head after raising him till he was an adult. he isn't exactly the good guy.
No one is evil from their own perspective
THIS IS GOOD WORK, GREAT EDITING.
With a game like Injustice's 2 story being absolutely praised, had really high hopes for this one. (Sigh..) At least the gameplay is fun.
Renegade Scottista Gags.
Thank you for uploading the story mode
there's no way that Heihachi will going back to Tekken 8 after those flashbacks
They could've used Lei as the narrator/investigator and Wang as the old man the narrator visited. Since he and Jinpachi were best friends, I figured he'd know about the situation between Heihachi and Kazumi as well
It still amazes me that everyone in this game speaks different languages yet understands each other. Also Claudio seems like a replacment for Zafina.
