I feel like, as a level 40 player ( about a week's worth of play like you said), that I would end up being completely overwhelmed if I unlocked all game modes and characters/materials. I would inevitably waste resources and time on trying to figure out who's best to use and what teams to build.
The hyperdrive bundle if you’re going to spend money is worth it for any account with the gear and bonuses alone. 1000 ship prestige tokens that’s almost a fully upgraded cap ship 10 zetas 100 of each kyro and a bunch of smaller gear pieces which can be used towards new characters and not have to farm those gear pieces or you can use it towards relic mats.
I don't blame you for pushing geos. I'm following APgains core team idea off of a hyperdrive account, but I added a gear 12 fully modded geo's team to get into a GTB guild right away and begin earning wat shards to get JMK as my first GL. Knowing mods on them early game is crucial as my g12 geos have yet to be cleared in 1 battle in GAC in low carbonite arenas (since it is a newer account). Added a savage with omicron and am now at 1.3 mil and both of those teams are on defense not being cleared easily unless it's a total unfair matchup. I think geos especially off of a hyperdrive bundle are extremely useful. Now I am getting currency to earn Mal/Negotiator since I'm in a better guild. Obviously late game they aren't a great team, but they are a great fleet! Plus, Brood Alpha can be plugged into a variety of late game teams. Really a great low investment team that will help you early to make amazing progression to set you up for the late game.
End level guilds are boring (for your 1st account) because you won’t be able to share in the highs and lows of the journey with people who are near the same stage

I really want to finish my captain rex and properly gear my phoenix, HOWEVER, with my plan for farming, I'm hoping that along the way Captain rex will become double drops fairly early so it makes it easier. If not then it may be a passive farm
The one thing that is never mentioned in hyperdrive or light speed bundle videos is mods. My HD account is way behind because it doesn't have the mods to go around. Or the credits to upgrade them.
You're right - and we do talk about that a fair amount around here. I've gotten feedback in the past to stick to the "farming" part of the farming guide -- so when I make my guides I try to stick to the topic at hand. :)
I almost want to restart! I’m a free to play level and I have a TON of stuff. But this simple bundle makes all my free to play effort look sad lol will it upgrade my characters to level 80 and 5 stars if I already have them at a lower level??? If so maybe I’ll just buy it.

For chars that exceed star rarity or cumulative shards of the bundle, the info says "Any surplus shards over the bundle upgrade criteria will be retained" and i read some comments on the subject saying "I bought Hyperdrive 3 months ago and I can confirm you keep all extra shards you don't activate. So if you would collect 185 shards without activating, you can 7* a character from hyperdrive right away."

is it possible to be competetive without hyperdrive? just got lvl 30 at first day and my arena shard was full with full star teams, so how can i f2p and get shards in fleet or arena when all the other guys are way ahaid trhoug p2w`?
Its challenging but see my free to play Lord Vader account playlist, where I'm doing well in fleet arena f2p almost 7 months in. (Things are about to change though)
Hey Dad. Playing for a week and a half, at level 55, already have Vader, a 7 star Fett and Geo soldier. Followed your f2p guide and have a pretty good imperial trooper team and working on phoenix. Is it a good idea to activate the HB in this account or start a fresh account?
I wont be getting the hyperdrive bundle, but I do plan on putting a new account on overdrive by getting the 50$ or 100$ crystal packs for my energy resets

I got it when I reached 85 today and I did it for resources mostly. Ships and toons were a nice bonus

Another thing you miss out on if you immediately unlock HDB. The free shards from the tutorial. Specifically Dark Trooper and Gideon.

He will be double in about a year

Without activating maybe? Im not sure - but.....not worth the risk.

I think profundity is the best route if you’re prioritizing fleet arena

That's what I did. 4 days vs probably 4 months. Vader is now 6 stars on my brand new account I made this morning lol.
