I wonder how long it would take for someone to speedrun this whole guide F2P. Understanding that by the time they got down the list, there would be more updates to the Journey Guide, but I'm guessing it would still take 7+ years to complete.

Been on a new f2p account for about a month, mostly just getting on and doing dailies. About to hit level 60 and close to being able to do Thrawn and Emperor as soon as I get 5* Crex
My f2p account is turning 3 years old and I'm about to complete my final GL. Leviathan would be the last real unlock left.
By the time I got that the rest of the unlocks would be finished so probably add another 7 months on.
Got the rey and slkr bundles so I'd add on another 8 months for farming both of them.
Gear acceleration wasn't a thing until like a year and a half into my account so probably subtract 4 months or so, but with kyros not accelerated maybe that wouldn't factor into the equation.
Would guess between 4-4.5 years to get all of this fully f2p at max efficiency

Honestly it's a great farming guide anhald but for a beginner player getting admiral piett might be a tad bit difficult since in order to get him it is required for you to unlock the 6th Light side stage, for me personally phoenix is a way easier team to farm early game and by the time you're done getting phoenix up in the road you can go for the imperial troopers afterwards. also Phoenix is enough for you to get both palpatine and thrawn but i get why we'll need CLS
You're an absolute champ, Ahn. My son just restarted the game on his own Apple account since CG released the 'fasttrack to 85' update and we were up in the air as to where he really needed to start. You've just given the instructuion manual here for him to start catching up on me! Awesome stuff!

I'm going my own totally weird and not at all competitive path so i don't get that much out of these, but i love seeing the evolution in the farming meta compiled and seeing how much these guides improve year by year with the gear levels and farm orders added this time. Same. The point of the game is to have fun. I made an alt account just to focus on mandalorians (before BKM came out and ISC rework) I had a whole roster of just mandos and scoundrels. Full non separatist droid teams. Just fun stuff like that. It was super fun lol

Hey Ahnald. Not sure if you’ll ever even see this, but I started early 2024. My buddy who was played the game since release has had me revolving my gameplay around your farming guide from 2023. I just wanted to say as someone who bought the hyperdrive bundle, this guide is genuinely so helpful. My main team at the moment isn’t bounty hunters since i made them the strongest for my fleet in order to farm crystals from fleet arena. It’s going so well.

Maybe one recommended addition to the guide I’d throw in for newbs that choose to follow it is for example; Starkiller. It’d be nice for them to know what relic level they should initially take those characters to, (like Starkiller) and what the recommended “final” relic level should be so as to not “waste mats” on taking them to r9, vs r7-r8. LLTE!

I'm more of a late-mid / end game player, but I love to see that there are still changes that impact new players in terms of choices
The additions of gear levels and some store farming information is going to save me so much time and brain cells

Whoa I’m accidentally like halfway through this farm. Started with Iden troopers, built up a fleet of BH and Empire. This guide helps a lot to narrow down and focus on what to farm for. Currently getting stars for Bossk, Hound’s Tooth, Jawa, TIE Bomber, TIE Advanced, and gearing up BH and Empire characters for Executor

Been playing mindlessly since April. Decided its time to lock in. This was very eye opening!
The only minor thing I want to change here is the Bounty Hunter lineup for Chewbacca/Executor
The best lineup is Bossk, Greef, Mando, Boba Fett, and Dengar
Bossk, Boba Fett, and Dengar are all needed for Executor.
Greef and Mando are needed for the BAM event, which is also needed for Executor.
Dengar’s entire kit was made specifically to make the Chewbacca event easier by preventing them from gaining stealth.
And the team is also just a genuinely strong Bounty Hunter team you can use early on. That is extremely tough, with a relatively fast contract, 2 ways to ignore taunt, cleanses, instakills, etc. As well as the core 3 for most endgame Bounty Hunter lineups (Greef, Bossk, and Mando) that are almost always used.
Yes you could farm IG-88 and Cad Bane to get a head start on Executor, but all that means is that you’ll have to farm Greef and Mando later on anyways for BAM, and therefore Razor Crest. So you’ll just have a worse Bounty Hunter team in the meantime. So instead why not simply cut out the middle man and farm up the actually useful characters, and then farm up IG-88 and Cad Bane as leftovers.
This is the most efficient and effective team IMO especially for new players. As all they have to do is farm Fennec, and outside of Zam’s omicron, they basically have the best Bounty Hunter team until Jabba.
But the thing is you need ig and greedos ship as early as possible to start farming zetas.
@@SnoopyJohn you just need dark side ships for zetas. Which can easily be done with Empire and First Order. You do not need to specifically get those 2 bounty hunter ships up and running.
Especially since the actual characters are so bad they are rarely used.
@gameovervirus2384 don't get me wrong, I know what you're saying, i started a f2p account basically when this came out. But those ship grinds jsut take so long, you almost need to start farming them asap. I actually suggested a geo ship cause it's character and ship are easily farmable and his geos are like 5th his list. I have 4 ships ready but need that 5th for a zeta, an I'm barely 3* wit igs ship. And sinxe MF and executor are pretty early on his list, you might be caught up chasing those ships later on
@@gameovervirus2384 you know, now that I'm looking at it more, you could easily farm all the BH at the same time, and greef/Mando are both in the galactic war shop. Still stay on those ships, but def add greef and Mando. Esp since there's only like 3 characters you need initially in that shard shop. Once I finish up poggle, I'm taking your strat. 😂 however I still do think geo soldier is a good 5th for darkside ships

super intrigued by this year, I'm about to finish Jabba reqs and I'm trying to figure out where to go next
I think a series of these would be really cool for each galactic legend. I have a few accounts, and on one of them, I made the bold move of going for Lord Vader first so it's about hyper farming the Geonosians and Ewoks first to nab Padmé and 3P0, but also building up the Jedi alongside to build a decent Galactic Republic team with Padmé and then the 501st on the side. It's actually been one of the more fun grinds I've done
I still enjoy the hell out of these F2P guides even at 10,5M GP and no intention of starting another account

I know I need to farm the ships of the Empire and the Bounty Hunters, but I have a question: which ships should I advance with through the Fleet Battles nodes at the beginning?
In the case of CLS, do you see the possibility of obtaining Han Solo at the beginning as viable? Because according to me, the CLS team loses a lot without Han Solo, Chewbacca, and CLS himself.

Those gear recommendations are great Ahnald! Since the changes in the level up process have taken place I would like to add a few thoughts. There are basicly no sideprojects atm if you want to be efficient - I'm lvl 58 on day 5 completely f2p - you have absolutely no credit/gear/ability material to strengthen anything else but the phoenix squad that you get for free including Rex. Save your war credits for ships - don't buy anything before 60 from the gw shop you will need them for ships. Skip the geos - at lvl 78 I highly doubt you can get geo ships to 5 star since leveling is so quick - you get several 4 star ships for free - i would recommend upgrading those, and adding dark side ships that are included in the shops and will be needed later in your chimera or executor fleet. Executor should be the very first big project for everyone, period, no questions. Your first 6 GaC teams should be: Savage opress solo, Dart Vader solo, Phoenix squad, Imp troopers, Zorii, Bounty hunters. I agree with the Leia, Jabba, Master Luke triangle - the order should be Jabba->Luke->Leia. If you buy one lightspeed bundle as a new player I hear they are bringing first order LSB back for a short time in july - I recommend that.

I literally watched your 2023 guide today and thought when are you going to do 2024 version but I was gladly surprised!
One addition chsnge i would suggest is to add 1 geo ship earlier in your journey. I started about the same time this came out and i just finished unlocking R2, and CLS is right around the corner as my requiremnets are 7* already. However, you need at least five 5* ships to unlock zetas, and the 5th ship shown (cad bane/bossk/ig ships) take a LONG time to farm. Geo soldier ship is easily farmable in the stores and geo soldier shards are first in cantina. Take ship to 5* star and geo to g8. Otherwise, so far so good
I literally just got Malak a few hours before this premiered and only need Wat before I’m ready for GL Kenobi! Couldn’t have been timed any better!

Given the amount of space already taken up for just the Journey designations, it might be helpful to have a companion guide to show what teams are useful for recurring events like Assault Battles. It would help illustrate where alternate teams like Nightsisters might fall into place.

Very nice work with this, Ahnald! I'm glad I watched this video before getting to deep into reviving my legacy account. I figured out the "Skywalker triangle" by looking at the requirements for all the GLs, but I didn't know about the Zeta ship farm! So, I'll be pivoting my ship farm to BHs and probably my GL farm to Jabba instead of Leia. LLTE!
Although, to be fair, GL Leia does seem to be the cheapest unlock of the 3, it just isn't as profitable with the teams/ships it unlocks naturally.
Always love the video! Love to rewatch it all year long to make sure I’m still in the right path! I would love to see in the future something to denote if you will have already passively farmed something (ex. 8th Brother is on the same node as IG-2000 so you will have him by the time you do inquisitors)

Just one thing: Please don’t be that guys who just grinds inqs once your entire guild has busted their *ss for months for Reva unlock and you cooperate nothing. Just farm them once your guild starts focusing on Neutral 3, just like you would do with Wat Tambor

You should really mention to new players and player who haven't played in awhile if they do the otder you suggested they will be bored and waste energy/materials when you need them the most trying to get to nodes to unlock some toons. For example, on your last guide I farmed almost all bounty hunters, geos, and all of the Phoenix and the old ben rebel team before I unlocked the node for Admiral Piett.

I started early may and bought the hyperdrive bundle to throw myself right into the game and I wound up not using imperial troopers for r2 but other than that I’ve been mostly focusing executor and Jabba farms and it’s been going great also my bounty hunters do amazing in squad and fleet arena

I'd argue not recommending Kneesaa for 3P0 is not viable anymore. It lowers minimun gear from G11 to G9, at which point you don't even need kyros, and Kneesaa will very soon be accelerated(seeing as Crex now is).
On my account I've split my empire team into star killer and aphra, this way I can use Palp and Mara with Star killer and vader can be used in Aphra, I guess it's a slight way to make her tie into the bigger picture

You should make a guide for some good early raid teams for the 3 oldest raids to help the new players as well I know it would’ve helped me a lot to have some direction

Going for Leia first as FTP. Modt characters are 7 star now. But its a slow uphill battle
I would have put sith trio and savage on there around the time of farming starkiller since it'd link to the talon in starkiller Farm. Giving an early on core team to help vs. inquisitors and many others.

My dad and were playing this for a bit before he passed last year... i hit level 85 finally and played pretty sparing since. It really broke my heart cause i was like "phoenix squad phoenix squad" and the week after he passed they literally did an event for them finally 😞 its been hard to wanna keep into it idk what to grind for and such at this point and have no one to play. But this puts me in a weirdly good comfort space even though its not even, nostalgic for me ive only played like 3ish years maybe... idk what the point of this was lol. Glad to see you doing your thing still
I feel like you want palp before thrawn using phoenix, its easier and with mara jade it takes on all the squad arena opponents as long as you outspeed them

Funny party is the f2p triangle feel into place for me but in a different rotation then suggested cause when I got back into swgoh back before season 2 on mandalorian I reliced bounty hunter 1st, jkr and his team second,then cls third, the Darth Revan and sith empire the started farm JML and executor out came jabba finished him the did Leia and profundity and a few light speed bundles a long the way lol

Welcome! Yeah there’s no reason to have characters under 7 stars. Can’t do anything under 7 stars really in this game.
New Journey Guide "Chapter" idea for new players: best reasonable team(S) for getting through Galactic War. Because that part of the game is a headache.
Phoenix does a great job on most days and is the easiest synergy team to get. Occasionally they will insert a Yoda/Shan team that you can't get past.
I'm no nee player still thought I'd have a look only thing I would say you would add that its good to throw a passion project in like nightsiters for tje assault battles or even vander for the dash cheese rounding off teams like Raddus as he almost a team needs one of the great tanks on offer to him at least
