Hello Brian, that is Fantastic, I followed your instructions, 100% and I picked all four files instead of one and followed your instructions further and it worked perfectly for me, this couldn't come at a better time as I'm traveling abroad and will need a VPN on my laptop, so thank you very much once more. Brian, I also purchased a Gl-iNet Router to take with me, and a good video from your side would be good, specifically on using the built-in VPN, Cheers Buddy, from Manchester
Been trying to use openvpn and windows to set up a vpn for about 2 hours. their instructions all failed me...
decided to go to youtube and you get it running for me in 5 mins. Youre amazing.
Nice and easy. Cheers Brian.
You're welcome!

*Excelente,sin tantas vueltas,Gracias*
You're welcome! Thanks for watching
nice video as always
Thanks Mr. T
I remember trying a free VPN a few years ago, and immediately wish I hadn't. What I'd forgotten about is that I use Zoho for mail and access it using Thunderbird. As soon as I'd installed the VPN, Zoho threw a wobbler... It thought that because my IP address had suddenly changed from the UK to somewhere else in the world that my accounts were being hacked and it immediately shut down all my mail accounts. After uninstalling the VPN it took me bloody hours to recover and re-activate all my mail accounts. Just a warning that things might not go quite as smoothly as you expect.
People love to be anonymous on the internet. It's just not possible. There will always be some sort of footprint left behind that can be traced back to you. Not too sure why people are so worried if you're not doing anything wrong. What you got to hide?
@@Britec09 so by your logic you are fine with cops or even cdc showing up at any hour of day or night and having a look through whatever they want you got nothing to hide right? Its called freedom pal and idk about you but i like mine and you might be right about a footprint but if you use a vpn then unless your doing something illegal to do with government level stuff you will be protected vpns are to stop your isp from knowing where your going on the web
Yes, I totally agree with you; nothing is free obviously we have to pay for this free service :)
Thanks Brian 👍
You're welcome!
great video good information ....! :)
Thanks
Thanks you sir, I am big problem face in my laptop and I'm working on IT job so i not connected in open vpn my TL is rude I am see this video and configure. So finally ok. Thanks sir ji🎉❤
Hi brian, could you show me how to set up ovpn on a nas, i have tried several times on my qnap but had no succes, also when i look for vpnbook it will not let me open the site i get a message saying it's not secure. Keep up the good work.👍👏😎🇬🇧
Wooow just wow ❤❤❤ you got a sub from me and my people
wow...thanks... 👍
when I clicked on the download, it didn't work. Is there any pre-setup needed to effect the download of the OpenVPN?
Been using it for few years at company that i help to adminisrate. Works like a charm!
Edit: also want to add, love this tool also for being able to still work even if you switch user profiles. This is very useful if i need to set up domain controlled user profile from local admin user while running on my office network and not on client network.
Thanks for sharing. Much appreciated
I was looking for this exactly even though I have a VPN. It would be great if you could show me how to set up your wireless router with a VPN?
I'll try to make a video on that as soon as I get home from my holiday. Thanks
@@Britec09 Thanks! You are doing an amazing job!!!
Thank you brian, how do i add this bunlde on cisco anyconnect ?
Is those unlocks OTT streams and is it safe?
Brian, looking at your reply to Chris G, I wonder if even using a VPN (of any source) you can be tracked back to where you are why use a VPN anyway? Plus if you become discontented with the VPN how do you get out of it?
Your network card has a MAC address. Your router has a MAC address and other hardware will have an ID number. Even when using a VPN these act like a fingerprint. Time stamps and other ways of tracing back to you is always possible. There is no such thing as being anonymous on the internet. A VPN changes your IP and location, but all of the information will be still left on your computer. So if you're doing something dodgy you're not really hiding are you? Normally your ISP can see all of the places you have been all you're doing as using a VPN and now your VPN service can see all with the places you have been. People put a lot of faith in a VPN because they say we don't Keep logs also, they say they still keep timestamps with when you connected to the VPN and your ISP will know when you're connected to a VPN I think you get the picture about VPNs
@@Britec09 Thanks Brian I think that it all makes sense although I still wonder why people go to the length of setting up a VPN.
Great piece of software, better than nasty addons that offer "free VPN" or freeproxy" thanks for your video.
You're welcome! Thanks for watching
🤟thanks
Hey, can you look into using openvpn for site to site connection between remote office.
I will do once I get back from my holiday
Hey Brian, I used the vpn file for port 80 what about all the other files? What are they used for?
They all worked for me in same way, but better if Brian explains further
Cool!
Thanks!
thanks for vpn tip

Probably because you are living in upside land 😂
@Britec09 More than likely. I come from a land down under.🇦🇺🤣
i need vlog how to set vpn for another ip address say for example korea..how to?
I'll try and make a video on that when I get home from my holiday on the 15th of September
Make video for Asia also
Will do
this bestter video all
CA for Canada
You're welcome!
Is it true that VPN controls your data once installed.? If yes why would I care for it if I pay IP provider to be able have unlimited data no fuss.
The VPN is used to mask your identity online by changing the IP address
Is the free VPN connection trustworthy?
Is any VPN service trustworthy?
@@Britec09 oh yeah fair enough. Whats your go to way tho to keeping private as you can whilst using ur home network tho? May thnx.
@@majorskies7091 you mean a VPN. People put far too much faith and trust in VPN. Most of the reviews online or affiliated links? They're like snake oil salesman.
@@Britec09 Ahh thats true i was aware i meant outside using a vpn if thats possible thnx :)
Will this work with Windows 10?
I think yes.
Britec specifically said w10 and 11 right at the start of the video!
Just try and report back.
Yes like I said at the beginning of the video
Does this work in Africa?
Too complicated. I can’t do this. Might as well cancel.
Unless someone can do it for me. I am 90 years old and my
Memory not very good
These days wireguard is the way to go, openvpn is old and slow
All VPNs slow down your internet speed drastically the more security you add, the slower the speed
@@Britec09 Well, I get 15 mbps up and down with and without connecting to PIA vpn running with wireguard protocol.
@@Britec09 Wireguard uses new encryption algorithm which is 3 times faster than algo used in openvpn.
Tailscale is much better and easy to setup on any device
I will take a look at that. Thanks for assuming
what is the difference between this openVPN client & open VPN connect for windows
speed is terrible thats why its free
All VPN speeds are terrible. Some VPNs are worse than others, but what do you expect? The tighter the security on the VPN. The slowest speed. I have not seen a VPN that does not affect your broadband download and upload speeds.
seems very long winded to set it up compared to SetupVPN
It's free!
@@Britec09 nothing is free...Setupvpn is "free" too
@@WillyEckaslike I agree nothing is free. You are the product when it's free
Hey
*video continues* "........you can change the tempo by clicking and DRAGGING"
Wireguard is much better than this
This is not about what is better. This is just how you can set up open VPN in Windows 11. That's all
