What a wonderful video! The Ferruginous Hawk is such a gorgeous raptor! I wish we had them out East. I hear they can be seen occasionally in the West of my Minnesota state, but not a frequent visitor. I love watching the raptor cams this time of year. I wish there was one for the Ferruginous Hawk. I have yet to find one. Your compilation of the 2021 season is the next best thing. I hope your pair breed again this year, and maybe if we out here in RUclips Land are lucky, you'll have another excellent video of it. Thank you for sharing!
Great video Steve, I used to fly a female ferruginous in1991 in England. I had to be fast on my feet if she caught a small rabbit if not it would of been eaten by the time I got to her. And that was my day over with.
Lovely video, Amazing pictures!!! Only achievable by someone that loves, respects and understands nature. Congrats for the work and thanks for sharing, sincerely
Beautiful images and music. I grew up hunting and fishing around Casper. I get nostalgic for the good old days seeing those flat sage brush prairie views. I went through a stage where all I thought about was falconry but it was not to be for me. Your videos are great! You have a good eye.
Hello Steve. Is there any predation of Ferruginous hawks by Golden Eagles......adults and/or eyass birds? I know eagles can be a real problem for falconers. Also....from my experience, the strength of the grip of a Ferruginous hawk is more than Red Tail hawks......would you agree with that? Size matters in grip strength, right? Also....what camera are you using?
