Welcome to Tamiya world. The oldest hobby grade RC models company in the world and legendary brand amongst RC connoisseurs. A company that doesn't focuses on speed, 6s lipos and all that stuff. They focus on pleasure: The pleasure of the build, the pleasure of the driving and the pleasure of durability. That little thing, will outlast anyTraxxas, Arrma or any other modern brand Rc car. Congratulations, it came out very well.
It's way cooler than any Traxxas, as you said, because YOU built it and painted it!! 👍👍😊 You had the typical first Tamiya Build issues... like 2 sets of holes to mount the motor, depending on Pinion size (one is obviously wrong!!) 😜 My first was in 1983 (probably before any of you were BORN). Yeah, I'm an Old Fart! That PAINT Job, was SWEET!!! 😎👌👍👍
Thanks. I have fun building these. And I have come to learn their directions after building a few more. Now I'm building a Vanquish Phoenix and need to get to finishing it. We just opened our own hobby shop and have a lot of work to do.
Nice i use long nose pliars for meshing tight the spur and gear use and the round dot and the métal bar and sqeese it screw White holding it Nice paint job
Did you guys open your hobby shop yet? If so share the link...I bought a VW beetle too and may need to ship it for you to build...i have arthritis very bad
I was looking into buying one for me and my daughter to build. What additional parts would I need to make it drive? Will any drive kit work or chassis specific?
Any 1/10th scale servo, a 6 cell 7.2 NiMH battery and then a Controller with a reciever (make sure they work together). Most of the Tamiya kits come with the Electronic Speed Control (aka ESC) and motor. Then some tools. Some of the kits have metric hex screws and some, like this one, needs a small Philips.
@@RCdune fine spec 2.4g is the kit I was looking at comes with A transmitter, a receiver, a servo, a speed controller, a 7.2 V battery for running, a special charger required for starting the RC car.
Use a car stand for testing the motor so it doesn't just take off on you. You also need a JIS screwdriver 🪛 for Tamiya kits, regular old Phillips head make the build harder than it needs to be. Also please don't show your viewers connecting your wires together even if it's temporary, too easy for something to go wrong in a matter of seconds.

Bellissimo .. ciao dall'Italia
Tamiya kit: no glue included. I think it is so they can make the kit have no issues with any storage, glue would probably spoil over time.
