Agree…. She appears to be well grounded for her age. And, with the amount of success she’s had in pageants, she still doesn’t seem to have let it make her into a self absorbed drama queen. Her mom isn’t a typical pageant mom… I think that has kept things “real”

Yeah she doesn’t seem to get upset or stressed and seems to have fun. The mum also seems less pushy and more supportive
plus she has the most wholesome relationship with her mom. she actually cares about her daughter and not just winning the pageants unlike the other moms

She literally acts... Normal! She doesn't act like a brat or like she's better than anyone. She goes to football games and has fun with her mom. She wants to win, but it doesn't absorb her! We need more people like her!

That's how you end up with teenage pregnancies. The youngest girl at school I can remember getting pregnant was in eighth grade, she just turned 14. Her mom pulled her out of school and we never saw her again.

I dint get pregnant till I was 30, I got married at 27. Having a boyfriend at 11 isn't specifically a " bad " thing. It is how you are taught to behave. Now did I follow my bf around at 11 no, we went to school and held hands on the swings. But saying this girl will be married and pregnant young 🙄 is just over dramatic.

Exactly!! I’ve had “boyfriends” since I was 6. It’s normal for kids to start to want to navigate being in a relationship, even when they don’t understand what a relationship fully consist of. As long as things are minored appropriately, there shouldn’t be a problem.

I don't usually like these, but, in saying that, this mum didn't seem pushy, the child seemed to want to do pageants, and the mum was playing about with her, rather than get annoyed at her like most I see do at their kid.
She may only be 11, and do these once in a while, so I hope she has a great outdoors life, school life etc, and although my 11 yr old wouldn't be having a boyfriend, she seems happy doing it when they come around, its not a life style, its for fun for Chelsea, and her mum.

I think the mother and daughter actually have a healthy relationship from what I can see. The mom seems to teach her a healthy example of how to be competitive but still gracious.

By far the most respectful child I’ve seen on the show and the kids having a “relationship” is sweet. The kids are nice and respectful. If you’re having a problem with it and saying your kids wouldn’t be doing it. Chances are they are doing it. They just aren’t telling you cause you don’t have an open communication type of relationship with them. Kids around 11 now a days are starting to think about sex or are not far off it. You wanna actually get your kids to start talking to you and make them feel like they can before it’s too late.
He seems like a sweet boy and she seems like a sweet girl, if the mother is ok with it then it’s fine.

From all these clips from the pageant shows I really really liked this one! Chelsea little boyfriend was so cute and innocent and didn’t seem so stuck up and over him self. It’s a little relationship and I think that if the mom saw something bad on the little boy then I would think she would tell her that she couldn’t see him anymore.
Mom is right about 1 thing, she couldn't have done that at 11, in fact mom couldn't have done that at any age. All this is just way too much, having a title like "most beautiful" is just not the way to raise people to think.

For everyone asking how she’s doing now she’s doing great she’s 23-24 I believe and has a daughter who is old enough to do pageants to and is just as sassy as she was then they look identical not with the same guy tho lol 😂
This is one of the only girls I can actually handle in this show. She’s not bratty, she wants to win but it doesn’t like absorb her. She actually cares about things outside of pageants example, going to her bfs football games, and her and her mom have a great connection and the mom doesn’t act like she’s doing this for herself like she’s genuinely making it all about the daughter not her. And ngl at first I was like questioning her having a bf at 11 but he’s so sweet and seems like he treats her amazingly. They actually are really cute together and idk why but I was like aww at the end when they were holding hands and she gave him her crown.

The whole thing, the cultural appropriation is problematic and offensive. I'm so tired also of people teaching thier kids that it's okay to use someone else's culture as some type of accessory. Stop using Hawaiian/Polynesian islander culture and other Indigenous cultures like that just because there's not many of us. Our culture is still valid, sends the wrong message, and teaches the wrong lesson. But what do you expect these are the people who don't respect thier kids enough to let them enjoy thier own childhoods.
