EFS V2 modems can read EFS V1 and EFS V2 but EFS V1 modems only read EFS V1 cannot read EFS V2. Downgrade Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.3 to 4.0.4 you will get IMEI gets 0049 and network won't work. But back Android 4.3 your own IMEI and network will work.
If your still wanting to know, it won’t work as they have different hardware but there is custom roms just for the s3 Neo on Xd forums if you’re willing to find them

I followed the tutorial until the end, I followed all the procedures as it was necessary, the Android works after I flashed it on my GT-i9300, but this shit spends its time restarting itself and sometimes it crashes while i updated it, also with many bugs!!! Honestly AVOIDED!!!

Use fastboot to unlock it
Only of you unlock the bootloader and use the correct version for it. Search your model number ex. SGH-D900 followed up by Lineage OS 20
