Nice try simpleton but the murder rate is actually at 4.5 per 100,000. Your cooked up biased stats count suicides as well. And about 80% of the homicides are gang related and take place in impoverished inner cities with strict gun control, not in the heavily armed suburbs. There are an estimated 400,000 people killed every year by medical errors, according to Health IT News and many many other sources. A simple google search does wonders. Firearms were designed to fire metal projectiles. What it shoots at is dependent on the shooter. And at any rate that "designed for" argument is bullshit because design does not dictate intent.

I'm a liberal and although I don't agree with piers on alot of issues. But he's right on the money with this one. Something has to be done guns are very dangerous and alot stricter laws and bans of semi automatic rifles. Change is needed.

While I do agree with Piers Morgan, what he shouldn't have done, is throw video games into the mix like if they are causing violence, when that is not true at all. There is report after report, that video games have mental benefits, and besides, they are fundamentally designed for entertainment, nothing more. Anyone that scapegoats the most irrelevant things like video games for the cause of violence, are utterly ignorant and dishonest. All in all, I have mixed feelings for Piers Morgan.

I don't agree on video games ( I have played a lot in my younger years, and have no wish to actually hurt anyone) and don't agree with other things he has said. But on guns in America I am with Piers on this issue.
it tickles me when foreigners talk to us about gun control, when it's well known that us Americans value the right to defend ourselves to the death, and also it's well known that people with bad intentions are gonna keep their guns, so what i always wondered is if foreigners got such a problem with this, then why do they continue to come here?
