The Greeks kept moving the Amazon tribe to some corner of the world they hadn't thoroughly explored yet, and for a while the Amazon River would have been thoroughly unknown to the Greeks.

You translated the Persian part wrong. "Hama Zan" translates to "All women". Not one fighting together. Whoever translated that for you may have confused it with "Hama djang". Which would translate to "All fight". I think my interpretation makes much more sense
