Disassembly:
• Majohn P139 Piston Dis...
The first leak of this pen dated back to Nov, 2023. After some regular delays, it was launched yesterday.
The high price due to:
1. ebonite feed - but it does not come with Low Ink Refill function
2. all metal piston components - why? MB Hemingway with all metal piston mechanism?
so, both "upgrade specifications" do not actually deliver any "upgrade in function".
Pro:
quite a bit vintage pen look, homage to MB Hemingway, don't sleep old man don't sleep.
Con:
1. expensive, compared with other makers with similar specifications.
2. no Low Ink Refill function.
3. when posted, the cap will rest on piston knob and turn it with ease (pictures near the end). (newly added, found out after 24 hours of ownership)

Entertaining as always!
The ebonite feed is so that ink will wick through the nib. It has nothing to do with where you fill the pen. You always dip a pen all the way in up to the section to fill it. The reason for ebonite is it's the best material to flow ink through to the nib.
That's what I call *OVERKILL LETTER OPENER*
Sometimes my mails arrive big.
Love your humour 😂 looking forward to what you post next
This pen is an obvious copy of a Mont Blanc Hemingway. Looks pretty good.
I can see you've got a hell of an "unpacking" knife! Absolutely great! Is there a way we can purchase it online?
You need to understand the local regulation, which varies vastly from country to country, even region to region.
1st time I’ve heard cow ass mentioned in a fountain pen review! 🤣
@@Paul.Douglas oh, did I? Pardon my French.
@@Shanghai_Knife_Dude 🤣🤣🤣
I am really looking forward to getting my hands on one! Thank you so much for your video, you are the first on youtube I think.
If you do wan't to get rid of it, let me know ;)
You're going to need an ink miser just to fill the pen. You can print one if you have a 3D printer.
Yes, first. I am now working towards the best, delivering thoughtful and meaning content.
@@Shanghai_Knife_Dude makes sense, let me know if you are interested 😉
I don't know of any piston filler that fills from the breather hole. All fill from channel in back of feed. Has nothing to do with what feed is made of. Need to submerge section to fill.
pelikan m800, wingsung 629/630, fills from breathing holes. That's only the pens in my collection. I bet more out there. Check my Low Ink Refill video.
Couldn't you find a bigger knife? 🤣🤣🤣
Can you make a video taking out the nib and feed?
Just pull. But it requires skills. The ebonite feed is kind of fragile, i already knew someone has broke it in half and unable to get a replacement at the moment. My suggestion: don't practice it until this pen is widely available. This pen currently is very sought after at the moment.
Hi Dude, I saw your video yesterday and made a lenghty comment. It vanished. Don't know what YT is doing. Anyway good to see that the price is quite normal except on Ali where the same thing happens as it did with the P138.
I experience the same vanishing post. YT auto delete any third party shopping sites names. AliexpreXX, for example, ali will be fine.
i bought a #6 nib fine… 8 was sold out entirely
Yes, the #8 just vanished after seconds, too hot.
Does the new Majohn post?
It does post.
I assume from your channel name that you are Chinese or at least reside in China. May I ask you what, if anything, 'Majohn' means?
末匠, Chinese pounce: mar dgang. Straight English translation: the last standing craftsman. “majohn”, “moonman”, mimic from Chinese sound.
where can i purchase it?
Try Google the name, see whatever links it pop up.
Just ink the pen and make your judgement on how it writes. I have never seen a pen review where someone judges a pan from how much water it hold from dipping the nib into water. And why complain about the price? Chinese pen are extremely affordable! Top of the line European pens can cost over $1,000!
The complain is based on other China makers with similar specifications. I compare apple to apple. Railways workers in China never go on strike. Pointless to compare price tag between European and China. Money is yours, you decide what to buy.
