Surrey Reserve featuring Brit & Rey - a young juvie is probably hungry - 12-3-23

While Rey was in the nest eating, he begins to vocalize as he heard Brit's vocals. She comes flying into the nest with some grass for the nest bowl. Both are on alert. Rey quickly flies and can be seen flying back escort a young juvie away from the nest. At 1:54 into the video, can see the dangling feet of the juvie as he/she tries to land. Rey pulls the young bird down to the right side of the nest where the juvie made an escape. More vocals from both Brit and Rey until all is calm with Rey hopping up on the little perch. The juvie saw the food and probably tried to steal. But Rey and Brit were ready to defend their nest.
