Can we just take a second to admire how accepting this guy is of criticism? In every comment I’ve seen so far talking about what they disliked, he seems to be very nice about it. I love when people can accept that not everyone will like their work, and take into consideration what they can do to improve!
Thanks for the feedback. I actually did that for a trial run but I didn't think it looked as good. I also tried regular beach sand, but it turned too dark in the resin.
Hmm, then maybe a bigger circle of sand? Or a not quite to the edges square? My opinion is just that if the bottom isn't completely covered it reminds me of a fish tank. But it is still cool.
Some people are saying the blue next to the clear looks odd, but personally I like it. While it might have looked better with more of a gradient, it allows you to see the sand and shells at the bottom better. I have seen quite a few resin projects where they either do all blue, or blue at the bottom and clear at the top, and it makes it hard to see whatever is inside it. Very cool though
I see a lot of resin channels doing boring stuff that takes no effort, but I'm glad I stumbled across this channel! The stuff you make actually looks really good! Now excuse me while I binge watch the rest of your vids
I hate to say I was falling asleep watching this on the couch, the music was so relaxing I literally melted into unconsciousness, woke up and watched this awesome video in full ♡
What could be fun would be to add a small stone, a small easter island head, and a small pineapple to the sand base. Also maybe a light coloured felt pad to the bottom to prevent scratches.
I love that you had clear instructions throughout, I don't have the supplies for this right now, but it's nice to have a legit how to for this really cool craft!
He poured clear resin over the sand, let it harden, and then poured the blue dyed resin over top of that. He couldn't have mixed them doing it that way.
@@crazycatlady39 actually he could have. it is common enough practice to only pour very small layers each with a slightly richer colour than the one preceding it. it is often done in dioramas but it would be the same here as well
Then we misunderstood each other. I was referring to what he did in the video. I wasn't aware you were talking about another way of doing it. I thought you were talking about doing it the same way as in the video.
@@crazycatlady39 Another way to blend the layers is to pour the next before the previous layer hardens. You wait till it hit's a jelly-jello consistency and add the next layer. This helps prevent there from being as hard a line between the two layers,
I loved the entire video. It came out so beautiful. I personally would have liked the bottom sand spread covering it completely. Still a beautiful finish. Thanks for sharing!
This was incredible! I exchanged the blue dye with red, and added small dragon bones to the bottom of a black sand drop, and instead of a message in a bottle exchanged it for a mini pirate ship. Nephew absolutely loves it! Keep up the good work
Really Awesome, didn't like the sharp square corners so much but could obviously work in any shape mold, don't know why you took the sand out of the bottle, that was cute;) the sand and shells could have covered the whole bottom as well, and maybe some fish, I would luv this, just saying, Thnx so much for sharing♡
I know you got comments about it being a real pearl, but as someone that works with them, I really liked seeing it! And you seemed excited or proud about it. I thought it was beautiful. :)
This is so gorgeous. I am going to start this project today with the help of my grandson. His mommy’s birthday is coming up and I think this would make a perfect gift for her from him. Thanks for sharing
Amazing video as alwaxs . when you create sea form pattern, you drop clear UV resin into surface. We call it "Umi nuri"! umi means sea and nuri means paint lol . That's popular way in my country . UV resin is really popular than epoxy resin . we make pretty accessories with UV resin.
What a great imagination you have. This is a lovely little piece. I enjoy sculptural projects such as candle making, this inspires me to try working with epoxy resin too.
Twice now still in love. I am Maltese an island in meditation sea. I love the ocean you have captured it's total time of peace thankyou it's a pleasure to watch you.
I like it very much👍😍what a wonderful resins made. . .I will try to make this accessories the problem is I dont have any materials.specially the Epoxy Resin or UV resins.its nice to watch this channel😘👍😍🇯🇵
Your artwork is amazing. I find it so relaxing and engaging at the same time. I lol when you showed us what your message said. Thank you for sharing your talents with the world. I shmashed the button, rang bell and saved this.
I like the way this piece was done. Its design is very tasteful and doing stuff with resin seems like a lot of fun, even if time consuming. I've been wanting to make stuff with resin myself, but I haven't been able to get around to it. I think of I were to tackle this project, I would have had the sand fill more of the bottom and maybe added a few droplets of clear resin into the bottle to make it look wet. Other than that, it's great! Edit: Well, I just scrolled further through the comments and noticed that my suggestions have been made already. Oops.
Hi, thanks for the feedback. A project like this does require a lot of stages, but each stage itself doesn't take too much time. You just need to make sure you have all the materials and equipment ready beforehand.
Me a newbie here. And during your whole video, I was saying I HAVE THAT!! I must try this now. Thank you so so much. Me might be your biggest fan. lol...toodles Debs from Texas
I'm sorry if I am tooting your horn but your videos are AWESOME! Not like 4theCraft videos. 4theCraft will do things in their videos and you have to guess what they did and what they used. Not like your videos, where you tell us each and every move you make and do in your videos. So much better to follow along. I bet either you are a teacher or Virgo lol! I have watched this video over and over, and have taken notes. So when I get pass the fear of using resin, I will do my message in a bottle. One day soon. I digress. It's white sand. I guess I see how you might see that.

I wish you'd covered the entire bottom with the sand. It doesn't really look like the ocean with just a circle of it.

Same thought.
I actually really like the circle, makes it feel more like a complete little piece to me rather than a slice of ocean 🤷♀️
I prefer the slice of ocean version because then I can imagine myself in the water.

What a beautiful piece, and probably one of the most relaxing resin videos I’ve ever watched! Thank you for sharing this 🤗
Really nice, good work
I would have gone with a gradient effect on the resin so it wouldn’t have been that hard edge but that’s me.
It won't be long before this channel takes off more than it already has. Thank you for the great video.
It's all thanks to wonderful people like you :)
ive seen people mix out gradients with a few layers of slightly more dye each time to make the transition between clear to blue look natural
I see a lot of resin channels doing boring stuff that takes no effort, but I'm glad I stumbled across this channel! The stuff you make actually looks really good! Now excuse me while I binge watch the rest of your vids
Message in a bottle would be cool too!
So pretty . Definitely going to try this project as a gift for a family member who is obsessed with nautical themed decor .

It's a nice paperweight Ace. I would've blended the blue better so I didn't have such a stark division of clear and teal.
He poured clear resin over the sand, let it harden, and then poured the blue dyed resin over top of that. He couldn't have mixed them doing it that way.

I am not sure that I like the transition between the clear and the blue "water". It looks a bit like oil floating on top of water.
Thanks for the feedback, you've just given me an idea for a new project :)
