The sneaky good thing about these China tools videos is how much I learn about basic shop setup, techniques and general woodworking. Like just building that mini router table and how that fence and dust collection work is super valuable for a beginner like me.
I purchased this fence and it's an extremely well made bit of kit. But I have had a change of mind and decided to buy the Incra LS17 positioner. So the router fence is available if anyone is interested.
I have got to say, the lift is very good for the price point. I bought it for 120€ and that’s a bargain. Some people pay that much simply for the insert. You are absolutely right in your assessment of the target group. I have a handheld router and can’t really justify buying a more powerful one simply to insert it in a table. This is excellent and for a very low price I can now build a router table that is absolutely sufficient for my needs…
Thanks Dennis! I love these China tools segments and I’m slowly building out my tool collection with you to thank for saving me money. And I’m using your rankings page for you to get referrals. Great job as always.
Routerlift build in, realy easy and the template was perfect. ( ok little sanding ) So after a lot of doubt, looked at your video and ordered the fence. I don't have the time now to make one, and this looks realy prommissing. Thanks Dennis!
Love your tool reviews Dennis. I have purchased tools like the Wnew Miter guage and am very pleased with it. Can you please tell me where you purchase your black MDF material? Thanks.
Hey Dennis! Thanks for sharing. The router lift looks pretty nice. Just one remark on the router: Even though it seems to be a nice idea to have a mobile solution by using a battery powered device, I would strongly advocate a cable version for the following security reason: The switch of the router is underneath the table and practically inaccessible - especially in an emergency situation. So it is a good idea to have the router switched on and plug it into an emergency switch, that is accessible at the front of the table. This switch is mandatory here in Germany for off the shelf products like router tables. Obviously this does not apply for a table you build on your own - however it is still a good idea and it also eliminates the necessity to dive under the table every time you want to switch on the router. Please keep up with your excellent work! Best Regards Andreas
You can make your own circuit with an emergency switch and 2 battery adapter. I don't have the reference of the parts I used, but one converted the Makita battery to 2 fast on connectors, wired to the safety switch. In term of safety if you kill the power through the e-stop, you cannot restart it unless you both reset the e stop and switch on again the Makita router. Anyway I am so tempted to purchase this router lift! Looks much cheaper than manufacturing one.
@@sylvainboyer2310 Hi Sylvain, Could you elaborate on the parts you've used for installing an emergency switch to the cordless router ? I would be interested understanding what type of adapter you've connected to the body of the router to make it work. thanks
I'm in the market right now for a router fence. I have a phenolic JessEm top and their totl lift plate. I'm not buying there fence though, wanted to build my own but after watching this I'm really impressed with this China fence.
Hi Dennis. I purchased the Enjoy Wood router lift from TEMU for about $65. I have 2 DeWalt compacts, Battery and 110 Volt. The DeWalt's have a 69mm body whereas most others are slightly smaller, so there are 2 different size lifts available. I believe the 69mm is a very recent addition. The battery operated DeWalt will fit, but just barely. The template is now spot on. The leveling screws on the mounts will not go in far enough to use on 3/4" plywood. They lack about 10 thou of an inch. A person could chamfer the holes slightly and it would work, however I am covering mine with laminate top and bottom so no problem.
Thank you for your hard work and honest review, Dennis! Your channel has become a valuable source of information for me on choosing tools for my workshop. Believe it or not, yesterday I spent the whole day drawing sketches of a router table and puzzling over how best to design a parallel fence with movable cheeks and dust extraction. I got mine just now and the template is the right size. But as I don't have a router table yet it is difficult to use with a handheld router so I will 3d print a center so my router stands stable on the template and my inner part.
I purchased this lift though I have not used it yet. I'm new to woodworking and more of a hobbyist currently, so budget friendly is a big part of my choices. I plan on putting it in a mobile workbench so I am happy to see you review it. I planned on this fence as well. Thank you!
Great video as always Dennis! Quick question about the fence, are you able to offset the outfeed side of the fence so you are able to use is for edge jointing? Thanks!
You do have to spend some time setting the saw up... blade, fence, etc. But once done, the saw is great. Fairly compact which is Nice ruclips.net/user/postUgkxXh-4_3-ZT1fFWP91ZV7iVqzElr0lEb-a I did get an Incra Miter Gauge which takes some setup as well. The stock miter gauge can be adjusted in the miter slot with a little painter's tape... this tightens up the side to side play a lot.
Love your videos. Your woodworking skills are superb, and you've built an amazing looking shop. Really appreciate the reviews also. They've really helped when shopping for new tools. Thanks for your work!
I used to develop product in China. One of the products I developed was a Folding, reclining, Adirondack chair. It sold in the stores in the US for $180. Our landed cost per chair at customs was $12.50. What that should tell you is that The wood, metal fittings, cutting, milling, finishing, boxing and shipping costs, all added together, per chair, had to be somewhat LESS that $5 each. The lumber yard made a profit. The wood shop and metal parts suppliers made a profit, even the shipping company made a profit, and it still only cost $12.50. Then, of course we paid a custom’s duty. And we charged a profit to the retailer who distributed and sold it. And they then triple that cost to steel it to the consumer. Mass production is capable of producing things for staggeringly low costs. Its all the middle men that make everything cost so much.

Firstly, thank you for all of your videos, they have been enormously helpful to me. With regard to the issue of sawdust when routing dados, I know that there is a dust catcher from Rockler that sits at the end of the router table but I think that there is a better solution: boat deck plates with an underside connection to the vacuum or to the router's dust collection cabinet. The plates sit flush with the work surface and are air-tight. You unscrew the cover only when routing dados. The distance between the port and the router bit is dependent on the size of the opening (the one I bought is 78 mm) and the draw of the vacuum system and probably best determined by trial. Keep up the great work. I look forward to each new episode. Thanks!
Thanks for showing this China tools. Maby by using an template guide bushing and not an trimming router you have no gap between router lift and the workplace at installing
5:00 hi Dennis, in this video you use the Jessem Clear Cut stock guides (at 5:00). These stock guides use a ¼” t-bolt, and I am having trouble fitting them in the 6mm slot on the front face. Did you have the same problem ? and did you have to modify either the slot or the t-bolts to make them fit ?? thank you !
Another great video 👍. I'm close to pull the trigger on this fancy lift. Using the Makita DRT50 I'm wondering if the 65mm version is the right one (as confirmed for other Makita models)? Any input appreciated 😊
Hi Dennis, did you find out how to use the "adjust clearance" ? It was shown briefly in the video, but not exactly why. When using it, I noticed that the higher the router goes, the more difficult it is to start up the router.

Hi Dennis, yet another excellent review 😁. I bought the original Router Fence you reviewed and found it to be just what I needed. I prefer the dust extraction port at the end of the fence, rather than the middle at the back. The micro adjust is "O.K." but not really "micro". I am hoping the Incra LS25 Positioner will adapt to the Fence as this will turn it into a much more high-end fence system. I understand that Benchdogs make an adaptor plate which fits the LS positioners, but not sure if you have reviewed that in any of your videos.

Hi Dennis would you be able to tell me whether my Metabo OFE 738 is compatible with this router lift? Your help and experience would really be appreciated
Dear Dennis, just found your channel when searching for this router lift. Whatched many videos from your channel. Really nice and professionally made. I have 2 questions: 1. Would you know what the purpose of the part is that is labelled "adhust" on the bottom and is secured by the u-shaped part with two bolts? 2. What is the grey material from which you made the work bench? Is it PVC, colored MDF, colored HDF? I am also in the Netherlands. If you have a good source I would be grateful if you could indicate it. Groeten Bernhard
Hi Denis, can you tell me the distance between the center of the two sliding rails (300 mm ones). I mean the distance between the two long screws (vertical one who tight the fence to table). Thank yoou
Not cheap. For around that amount I built a digital fence- select the position and it drives there, with an accuracy of 0.01mm. It includes a linear rail mitre (cross) fence. And the touch screen controller plus all electronics. And a digital lift mechanism (just insert the desired height). And auto lift-and-lock for bit change. And auto setting for finger and dovetail joints. And variable width dados. And fully automatic cutting of mortices, biscuit slots, dowels, etc. All aluminium alloy construction with thermoplastic faced workpiece guides. Having to set your fence and bit height by hand is so last century...
If it's possible to do so, how easy is it to do set up for vertical jointing, meaning to offset the outfeed fence laterally so that the trimmed edge rests against it?
This looks like a great router lift for the price point. Paired with a portable router table (and fence), this may be a great option for those that need portability. I'm thinking of pairing it with my Rockler convertible bench top router table if I can come up with a way to mount it into the proprietary plate opening that table has. Being able to swap it in and out between routing and (spindle) sanding at a job site would be great for trim work. Do you have the plate dimensions handy? I may have missed that in your presentation.

Great stuff as always! I don’t know what it’s like where you are but when it comes to half inch routers, in the UK you can only get plunge routers in the affordable area. That means that there aren’t any affordable lift systems as far as I can tell. I’m having to think of a super dodgy way of adapting my half inch plunge router. I guess expensive CNC motors are an option, shame though
This is a very nice lift. I just recently purchased a JessEm lift for my full sized router, but having a small lift for my Makita trim router would be awesome. My only problem with this lift is that I would have to have a dedicated table for it. My only table is for the JessEm. Otherwise I would definitely purchase this little guy.

You should review the tiltable router lift from sauter shop.
Hi, did you buy for your makita router the 65 mm or 69 mm routerlift?
Do you know if it's possible to purchase a separate set of the mounting brackets so you can swap the lift to another table as needed?
Hi Dennis, does the Fence have offset available between in fence and outfence?
ola denis, una pregunta donde puedo recojer los (Tafelzaagdrukker) que usar.un saludo
Hi Dennis, could you point me to the video of that better router fence you mentioned? I am having a hard time finding it. Thank you
Dear Dennis, just found your channel when searching for this router lift. Whatched many videos from your channel. Really nice and professionally made. I have 2 questions:
Could you share some more information or even a plan? :)
@@Turtleexpress21 First episode of the build now published on my channel.
If it's possible to do so, how easy is it to do set up for vertical jointing, meaning to offset the outfeed fence laterally so that the trimmed edge rests against it?
Thanks a lot from Germany, verry helpfull 🙂
great review…..please what material were u cutting for your diy router table?
Thanks for the review. What is that bit height measuring contraption at 12:03?
This looks like a great router lift for the price point.
Paired with a portable router table (and fence), this may be a great option for those that need portability. I'm thinking of pairing it with my Rockler convertible bench top router table if I can come up with a way to mount it into the proprietary plate opening that table has. Being able to swap it in and out between routing and (spindle) sanding at a job site would be great for trim work.
Do you have the plate dimensions handy? I may have missed that in your presentation.
Dennis, does this fence lack an offset capability (set left side forward of right side)?
Been eyeing this router lift as I only have a handheld trim router
Dennis, can you offset 1 of the adjustable fence faces for jointing? On the previous wnew fence, you could shim the fence face for jointing.
How bad is the shipping to the states feel like after the shipping costs from bangood i may as well look at other products... any thoughts
Not sure what language the purchase buttons are in, but is there a purchase site available where I can tell which buttons are which?
Thanks for the great reviews Dennis. Do you know if the dewalt battery router fits in the lift? Thank you
Here are some popular brands and which router lift you need to choose!

Hey I'm wondering what material that top grey, used for the router top that he machined, I can't seem to find that anyway?
Thks
Dave
I have been looking forward to this episode, Dennis. Keep up the great work!
What material is that table top made from? Coloured all the way through?
Hi Dennis thanks for these videos. I find them informative.
Do you live in Poland?
What is the black material you used for the table top? It looks very good, is it hard wearing?
I’m still waiting for an answer on the material you used for the your router table. It looks really good and I’d rather use it than plywood or MDF board.
It is called full colored black MDF
@ Thanks for that, I’ll try to find a local stockist (I live in Chesterfield Derbyshire)
dennis this router lift 65mm we can use any brand palm router cordless or corded? and also the router fence?
They gave me the brands that fit, which is makita and DeWalt. Other will probably fit, but you have to find the dimensions yourself. I found out that this is not always easy
Maybe the template for the cutout of the router lift is meant to be used with a guide bushing instead of a flush trim bit?
Can this router fence be adjusted so that it can be used as a jointer?
Brother,

Wish you would find some Festool copies.
What material are you using to make your router table? I would like to use the same.
Looks like so called deep black mdf to me.
Can someone tell me the minimum and maximum possible distance between the two T-tracks of the Fence? My fence is not coming until mid-August and I am building a workbench.
Hi, I am kinda new in all this. And I was looking for a router lift and maybe fence for later. This review really helped me to choose this one. But I got one question. I have a bosch GKF 600 hand router. And wanted to know if this model would also fit in this router lift. The Diameter from the router is 70.5cm. Thanks in advance.
Did it fit the gkf600?
Interesting video Dennis. As always 🙂. You are my favorite RUclipsr !!! Keep up the good work. Have a nice quiet weekend.
Thanks, looking forward to it 😁
Does this stuff reall reach us in the US? I am worried if I order something and its coming from China or the Netherlands I couldn't get it. I even question paying for items on PayPal.
Hi, I bought the router lift because your video was credible and I have a dewalt router. you say it fits .but it doesn't fit mine is 69mm. on the box it says 65 to 69 mm, but it is impossible to get it to fit. so now I have to buy a new cutter .total let down
Make sure the Tightening screw is completely loose first. My DeWalt fits...snugly, but it fits. Didn't until I loosened the screw.
It is not 65mm to 69mm; there are two models - one for the 65mm and one for the 69mm
Hoi Dennis, heb je deze tool nog? Heb je een update?
You think my dewalt palm router wil fit in the 65mm lift?
NO. The DeWalt body is 69mm. Just measure it with your calipers.

Thanks Dennis, the fence is on my shopping list once I have built a new shop.
Hello!
I was wondering what are the measurements of the T-slot on the 45mm plate that goes into the table? I can't find it on the Banggood website.
Keep up the good work!
Greetings from Sweden
It ist 45.1mm x 13mm.
I Just found this information in the Pictures at banggood.
Pretty impressive tools indeed, Dennis! 😃
Thanks for the review!!!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thanks Dennis I can always rely on your reviews
For those building their own bespoke fence, I recommend Woodpecker's (expensive) micro-adjust. One single knob to adjust your fence with extreme precision is awesome.
It's the thing I didn't know I needed, but now I can't live without.
Or build a digital fence. More accurate (0.01mm) and moves at the press of a button.
perfect as always mr. Dennis!
I can see this being useful for a dedicated 1/4" router table. Would save having to replace the collet when switching between 1/2"and 1/4" bits.
I am thinking of something like this. Want some simple bits as a secondary table, easy accessible and always ready to use.
Good review. ThX! I just purchased the router lift. It is on sale now € 140,- till 2023-07-18
Dennis! We really need a review on the new HONDUI HD-KS22 Miter Saw Fence!!! It looks well built with micro adjustments. Banggood says it works with your highly recommended Hongdui Miter Gauge! Maybe do another comparison to the Harvey or Jessem Miter Gauge systems. 🪚🤺
Thank you for sharing your review of these products. Definately, they can be useful in my small shop and financially a good purchase. Have a wonderful weekend. Stay safe, happy and healthy. From Henrico County Virginia
hooked on vooood ! thanks for the reviews
I’m all in any “All 5s” reviews from Denis!
Awesome products and great review
Great stuff as always! I don’t know what it’s like where you are but when it comes to half inch routers, in the UK you can only get plunge routers in the affordable area. That means that there aren’t any affordable lift systems as far as I can tell.
I’m having to think of a super dodgy way of adapting my half inch plunge router.
I guess expensive CNC motors are an option, shame though
There’s the option of getting a triton, they have built in lift functionality!
Hi Dennis, brilliant video mate, thank you
This is a very nice lift. I just recently purchased a JessEm lift for my full sized router, but having a small lift for my Makita trim router would be awesome. My only problem with this lift is that I would have to have a dedicated table for it. My only table is for the JessEm. Otherwise I would definitely purchase this little guy.
Have you looked at the China tools version of the jessem stock guides? I’ve been considering them but haven’t seen anyone who has them for thoughts
you know you're good when your freshly bought WNEW route fence is being reviewed by Denis from Hookonwood xD
@LQ-gaming do you write ad copy? And does lq stand for low quality?
What size do I need for a makita drt50, for some reason I am unable to find the body diameter of that
Good question. Working on that.

@@HookedonWood bought the router lift for my makita, and it seems great, although I don't understand the red circle for small adjustments, sometimes it turns and sometimes it doesn't. And because I was impatient, I cracked the casing to my router, it has to be placed very specifically to fit.
Did you try a template bit, because there is an offset on those which is probably what that supplied template was made for.
I normally use template bits that do jot have an off set. But I saw one online that indeed would have solved the problem
Well done kind Sir...Thank you Dennis! ❤You!
