It was great to see Gimley, Norman and Milo. Birds of prey are so amazing. I went to the Birds of Prey center in Boise, Idaho years ago. The most amazing thing was getting to see a Phillipines eagle. But we also got to see several types of owls, hawks and falcons. The BOP Center was part of bringing Peregrine falcons back from near extinction. They were also instrumental in breeding California Condors and reintroducing them back into the wild after going almost extinct. It's really lovely what Sady is doing. People need to realize our world needs all of its creatures. Love and peace.
Passion for these birds is very evident; what an incredible amount of effort she put into moving and rebuilding! When I get to visit England again, Harry Potter sites are first on my list, but I’d love to stop by Feathers and Fur!

Just had this come across my feed about 10 months late, but I wanted to thank you so much for helping us raise the funds needed to build a new home for our feathered friends and for visiting us again! I've been volunteering at Feathers & Fur for 4 years now and it honestly changed my life for the better. Thanks to Sadie, the birds and the rest of the team, I found my calling in life and it's helped me cope with a severe anxiety disorder. The birds, owls especially, are truly magical in how they can bring out the best in us and if it weren't for you and your community, we would've lost it all, so thank you so so much ❤
I‘ve had the absolute pleasure to have a barn owl on my hand today 😍 It was a wish come true and now I will dream about flying one for the rest of my life… If I ever come to the UK again I will visit Feathers and Fur for sure and book a session ❤️

Looks like a very interesting place. A must go for Harry Potter fans ❤ Interesting bit of knowledge about owls: they are the probably the quietest birds in terms of flight. I watched documentary where scientists measured how much noise microphone picks up for different kinds of birds when they fly: flapping of wings, the air sound etc. Microphone was picking up some sound for other birds, but practically nothing for owl. If I remember correctly it had something to do with how they feathers are placed and how the owls move they wings. Makes sense considering they are birds of prey that hunt during night....
Thank you for showing us such a special and magical place, you looked like you were really at home looking after the owls. Congratulations to the owl sanctuary for getting back in there feet after civic, you really dug deep.

When I was in elementary school they had a woman come with birds of prey that she rescued to the school library to teach about them. We even got to pet some of them after which was really cool.
Way back in the 1980s I had the huge privilege of having an Eagle Owl on my arm. The thing I remember the most was how feather-light she was. Pun intended! I'm nearly 70 years old and that day was one I have never forgotten, and hopefully never will.

Muggle Owls only come out at night but I guess where Cherry is visiting has got Wizarding Owls that come out in both the daytime and at night.
