Um, no. They aren't too shabby as far as song lyrics go, but a Yeats would reject this even as a first draught. The great poets are on an entirely different level in terms of imagery, prosody and cognitive power.
Cheers. My opinion doesn't matter, it's demonstrable. Have you studied poetry and prosody? Read even a minor poem by Yeats and compare. Opinions are fine, but close textual analysis is something else. I recommend Alfred Corn's The Poem's Heartbeat, if you want to understand serious poetry. Give it a try. Your mind will be blown by the complexity of great poetry, a fundamentally different, and vastly more complex, art than song lyric writing, in the modern sense.
This song is very unique. It makes me imagine a garden and somehow thinking of a lost memory, a sad but beautiful memory, and at the same time it makes me think of humanity as a whole, I don't know why.

When music was music.........timeless!
No group these days are no where near a group as good as uriah heep their music is so original and all are brilliant musicians and a voice like Byron
Very few bands of any era were as good as Uriah Heep.
1965 to 1980 will always be the best time of all for music lovers.
Especially the lovers of Uriah heep
Maybe 15-20th century was a period for the best time of music and culture
1963-1988, I think
1963 to 1993 was the best music
