- Although this video shows parts of Uriah Heep performing at the Budokan hall in Tokyo, Japan, in March 1973 and Shepperton the following year, the audio is from their performance of this song taken from their album "Demons & Wizards" from 1972 at the venue Town Hall in Birmingham, the UK in January 1973.

David Byron (RIP): Lead vocals
Ken Hensley (RIP): Hammond organ/keyboard/guitar/lead and backing vocals

Lee Kerslake (RIP): Drums/backing vocals

I also became a teenager in 73 and thanks to my older brother was already a huge Heep fan! Sadly Mick Box is only surviving member 😢

Gary Thain was such a great bass player really flew under the radar 😊
You nailed it, Thomas ... Thain's ability with the melodic bass and solid sync with any drummer he played with .... very underrated. He and Hensley made Heep what it was when they were magical. :)

When I think back about Uriah Heep first I think about him and Ken!!! Gary coz he died without giving les than maybe 20% of his talent, Ken, coz he should have even more influence on their career!I am maybe wrong about Ken but for great late Thain I am 100 %sure! What an bass player, those fingers, style, cool on stage, he was the man!!!

Была шикарная музыка, и простенькая сцена. Теперь эффекты фантастические, сцены потрясающие, а музыки почти нет.
Раньше щука по 5 кг, брала на любую блесну, сейчас любые снасти, а щука только у браконьеров берет)

OUI, tu a raison c'est du hard rock progressif , c'est plus doux que Black Sabbath ( que j'adore ...) je suis très fan de tous les groupes de heavy metal c'est pour cette raison que j'ai classé Uriah Heep dans ce style de musique , mais je reste nostalgique de cette première formation avec l'excellente voix de David Byron

Uriah Heep se nikdy neoposlouchá. Krásná hudba a skvělý Davidův hlas. Kluci díky za tu úžasnou muziku, kterou rád poslouchám už padesát let.

Always enjoyed me some HEEP. Only saw them once but it was this line up at the legendary former livestock auction hall Chicago's International Amphitheater, the site of many a great 70s rock show. Sad to see the only man left standing is Mick Box. Like Lemmy once said, "Dead men tell no tales..." but at least we have all the great memories and video footage like this to send us back in time even if just for a few moments.

Два раза был на их концертах...в середине 90-х и начале 2000х .Хоть это был и не первый состав ,но это нечто ,когда вживую! Первый раз был с похмелья ,чуть сразу не ушёл от тяжёлых барабанов на вступлении) усидел,а потом просто в кайф было!)
Я на такие концерты,стараюсь ходить по-трезвянке,чтобы было,что вспомнить...🙂😉
Юрай Хип - это чудо чудесное . Особенно , Байрон и Хенсли .

Uriah Heep, Deep Purple, Grand Funk Railroad, Led Zeppelin are the best in hard rock of 70s.

Was lucky to see them 1970! They were upset with producers here and let us know! That being said “ they stayed and played 2 hours over for us! Super people!

What to do sunburns?
When i was 12 i was in grade 9 .i made $ that year by stealing armfuls of 12 inch records during my spare at 10 a m,in which i filled pre orders for ,i confess mostly knowing now for the lack of royalties on purchase volume . One of them was demons and wizards .i remember getting the order (request ) from some quiet cool kid and had to almost feel like im taking aforeign laguage lesson,i had to get him to pronounce the name of the band many times in question and spell it .but i did turn up with the album that day i think my price was 4$ then i think it was a 2 or 3 dollar saving for him however i we listened to that whole album so many times it wlll always be part of my culture and reference also first time i saw the cover i immediately noticed the subliminal art i was intrigued needless to say i had never heard of this amazing un hyped band before this .i will always be happy for their proud addition to my advanced taste at such an early age as well as now...thank you uriah heep always
