- In this video, I will show you how to remove the dashboard from a Hyundai Terracan and how to test the bulbs that illuminate the tachometer, tachometer and gear selector. First, I will disassemble the dashboard and introduce you to the bulbs that are used in the dashboard, special bulbs with long leads and including the specification of the bulb marked KHA-V2.
Next, I will explain how multimeters and voltmeters are used to test the functionality of light bulbs. I will explain the basic principles of these instruments and show you how to use them to measure.
After showing both methods I will proceed to reassemble the dash and test all the bulbs. The aim of this video is to provide you with practical information and instructions on how to remove and install the dashboard from a Hyundai Terracan car and how to test the bulbs in the dashboard.

@@Terracan4wd Thanks for the reply! (I only just saw this comment now) It has many problems.. but I love this car, so I will slowly fix them all. It has knocks in the suspension. It wants to drive to the right, even after having an alignment done, so something wrong there. Buzzing sound, like a bee, at about 2000 revs when cold (I suspect the turbo). The transfer case behaves strangely... the car feels like it hits a pothole every now and then - but this problem stops if you remove the fuse for the transfer case (fuse number 4). Vibration in drive train when there is load in the back. And more... but like I said... I love this car and I am inspired by your project, and I plan to fix min similar to what you have done. Love all your videos!
Oh yeah, and the clock spring just failed, and there are several bulbs that do not work in the instrument panel, so I will be fixing both at the same time. So this video helps - thank you. :)
@@phillipt6493 Hi, thanks for the message. To detect the clearance on the chassis, I started using a GoPro camera, which will show me the clearance in operation. Otherwise, I am not able to detect the clearances even with the mounting lever. I found play in the silent block of the lower arm, which moves sideways when cornering. And also since last year something has been knocking when driving over a hole on the front axle, finally I found out that there was play on the lower arm for attaching the stabilizer bar. Be sure to check the play on the gimbal, how are the crosses on it. These need to be lubricated with petroleum jelly (there is a connecting nipple for a grease gun) so that they do not dry out. The car is honestly made, it's a de facto old pajero in a new coat. So everything is solid and can be fixed, it's just that revealing the wills sometimes takes time. Good luck.
@@Terracan4wd Hey man, I just saw your reply now. It's a very good idea to put a camera underneath the vehicle to see what's happening. It seems you need a bit of imagination to figure out exactly what is going wrong. I'll follow some of your tips, as they sound similar to what I am experiencing - thanks for that - appreciated. :)
