    When 12 dreams came out,it was life altering to a young teen. Those days are gone,the music lives on,living in my heart forever.

    I did sound for Spirit in the late 80's. Randy was just a super nice guy.

    Sardonicus is a killer album. we played the living shit out of it in high school. I know
    every lyric by heart. one of my 3 desert island albums. Long live the 12 Dreams !

    I remeber their first album "Fresh Garbage" and saw them live several times. One of the very greatest rock bands of the 60s and early 70s. I miss Randy too. RIP.

    I was born after my time. I discovered Spirit in College when I worked at a used record store back in the late 80's. I could pull out any record I wanted to and play it. I discovered a lot of music that way. Ended up buying their first 4 albums. I have the Box CD set now. I've been listening to it the last few mornings on my morning run.
    Neat to see them playing this. Always one of my favorites of theirs.

    Hearing Randy sing it like this live and comparing it to the memory that I have from Dr Sardonicus, this was his own song. Something he could play with a guitar by himself. What an incredible talent.

    Remember my first high school love telling me we had to break up and this song came up a few seconds later while we were dancing. We were 15 years old.
    Her father didn’t approve of me because I wasn’t the same pedigree.
    She was crying very badly and we were heartbroken.
    We still ended up seeing each other, sneaking around in spite of his disapproval and as they say: the rest was history.
