As a former Petty Officer 2nd Class in the US Navy I love seeing the inner workings of the JMSDF. It's so cool to see the similarities to each other. I even found a Japanese Army Navy store in Tokyo across the river from Ichigaya train station and bought a JMSDF shirt from there.
