Two things about the Revenant Kit: 1) The nipple bumps are absolutely historical, Celts had them on the old breastplates that they wore before the invention of chainmail, or widespread introduction of scale to them. Apparently nipples were sacred, and a way to disfigure and disinherit someone was to cut his nipples off. 2) I think a billowing cloak or two would really help the Revenants pop, especially screaming head guy.

Which matches the Celtic look of the skeletons, keeping a theme there.

Interesting and useful review. Thinking of these for a Soulblight Gravelords army.

The easy to build Stormcast Eternal Sequitors would be good painted as statues

Will they ever release chariots in their range of minis ? Would be quite cool...

Kind of a bummer the head/neck connections aren't the same across the range.

Good review, and I like how you mentioned the Oathmark Humans in this. Do you think the heads/arms/bodies would work with Frostgrave units like Barbarians or even GA Crewmen?

Should be the same as the humans, I've had both and they seem freely interchangeable. Currently working on a barbarian body with all elf parts.

@@ScruffyCrow cool idea, I love North Star for how versatile their sets are with each other

Perhaps one of the Tehnology 54mm scale dwarfs would make a good stone golem.

      Not a bad call!

I've just seen this range too (for some reasonably priced monsters). The closest to a golem is this one (might double as a orc construct too): www.schleich-s.com/en/GB/eldrador/products/stone-monster-70141.html

Thanks, I had to cut a lot of ramble but I got all my main thoughts in.

Formation rules are a bit disappointing to me. Expected more just general rules for being in different set ups, rather than what are effectively just small upgrades that you have to pay for.

Same, however the new rules are kinda interesting and I think the 5 wide thing is probably a little too baked into the rest of the rules.
