Orange Grove Public School - Emerald Dance Company @ Sydney Eisteddfod 2023

Rain Dance is performed by the Emerald Dance Company, comprising of students in Years 3-6. This contemporary dance includes a combination of rhythmic movements, gestures, and symbolic actions that convey the dancer's intention to invoke rain. These include arm movements that mimic rain falling, and body movements that evoke the fluidity and gracefulness of water. The tempo and strong beats of the music create a trance-like atmosphere that enhances the spiritual connection between the dancers and the natural elements.
