    It's not off-limits mates just need enormous recources and prep to go there and explore for extended periods of time with very little return on investment. Def lots of cool discoveries to be uncovered tho

      right like you have to pay for your rescue before you go like a deposit kinda thing cause they know they will probably have to go get you and no one wants to pay for it them selves lol it is isolated and hostile like come on if you have a way to take yourself then you can it is pretty simple lol and no millionaires do not go cause of the risk factor their insurance will not let them

      @@InsaneCuriosity Sorry for sounding snarky lol but I think those are at least decent reasons lol kind of like climbing MT Everest crazy expensive do at own risk kind of thing bail out costs ya .... (I think there is a hill somewhere that says if you go down and need help back up from the beach they will charge you 1500 bucks for rescue) ... just going to Antarctica has not become all that popular yet

    If you have disposable income there are several tour groups in Chile and Argentina that travel there; December through February. Claiming Antarctica is "off limits" is the stuff of Carnival Barkers.

      Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Yes, there are tour groups that visit Antarctica. It’s not completely "off-limits," but visiting comes with a lot of rules to ensure the unique ecosystem is preserved.

    It's not off limits to anyone who has the money and the means to get there. Many private groups go there , I went on a trip from Southern Argentina in 2004. There's no military or off limits places, and the only thing preventing people getting to places are geographic and physical challenges. It's why I won't watch this video. When the title is bullsh1t you can be sure a lot of the video is too.

    Some people like me have deep pockets, we do not go there bc there's nothing worthwhile for us.
    It's a good place to view via video. It's dangerous just being there, plenty of things could go wrong.
    Take my advice don't think it would be nice ! Several I know were airlifted out dead, taking chances
    is not a wise option. Excuse me now, I must mend my pockets as bottoms have been worn out.

    You can visit it, numerous tens of thousands of people a year do so. Now, most people do so via certified tourism agencies and companies who have to have valid permits. However, if you, just as a guy, decided to sail there, nobody would stop you. You could just get there and just be there. You just won't last too long.

      Antarctica isn't completely off-limits, but strict regulations protect its environment under the Antarctic Treaty. Limited access is allowed, but it's expensive and difficult due to its remote location and harsh conditions. Appreciate your comment!

    Hold up! Did you say, “temperature fluctuations and greenhouse gas cycles”? I thought that they were man made, not the ACTUAL CYCLES OF THE PLANET! 🥴🤔 Oh nice cover with the “Human Induced” comment😂

    • @InsaneCuriosity
      @InsaneCuriosity  15 дней назад

      The Earth naturally goes through temperature changes and greenhouse gas cycles over time. But humans have also added to these changes, especially with activities that release more greenhouse gases. So, it's a mix of both natural cycles and human impact!
