Technically the original animal crossing was for the Japanese N64 disc drive so if that version of the game had Mario 1 like the GameCube version you could play Mario 1 on N64
@StaatsterWii & @GameBlock_ Animal Forest wasn't a disc drive game but was only on cartridge in Japan, it had a battery to maintain the clock feature. This totally counts!
The original N64 release of animal crossing doesn’t have super mario bros but you can add custom roms to your game by hacking them in although I’m not completely sure if you can do this for the N64 version
In canon timeline, Mario probably had to go through the events of SMB1 once. But if he had to go through it EVERY TIME someone played it on a different console I'd imagine it'd get tiring fast.
nothing beats the original nes version, that game brought back the video game industry and kept the concept of a video game still relevant, so if it weren’t for mario we wouldn’t have sh*t
All Stars fkin messed up such a basic thing: The downwards bounce that happens when you hit a block. It works just fine on SMB3, but not 1/Lost Levels. It instead thrusts you upwards Although there are some mods that fix the issue
Fun fact: Nintendo released a Super Mario Bros. Game & Watch many years before the anniversary one came out and it has a very obscure version of the game
Honestly in one way it’s strange that the ‘25th anniversary edition’ of All-stars isn’t the one with Mario world, but I guess they didn’t do that because it’s already on Wii VC but idk.
N64 can play SMB1! It needs modded Animal Forest or an unlicensed GBC cart player (which do exist!). GameCube also needs modded Animal Crossing or the Game Boy Player. More difficult is the DSi, which needs cracked homebrew software to run GBA games. But the only (non-dedicated) systems that can’t play a version at all are the original DMG Game Boy… and the Virtual Boy.
N64 could technically count! Due to animal crossing getting released on the system, however only in Japan. And I’m not sure if that release had the classic Mario bros in it but if it did then every mainline Nintendo console has super Mario bros on it
Btw Animal Crossing 64 doesn't have Mario 1, so that's not an option. However, if official, although not officially released to consumer methods count, then the Wide Boy 64 can play SMBDX
You actually can because Dometsu no mori, the original japanese release of Animal Crossing, can also play mario 1, and it was originally released on n64
Well the og animal crossing game was originally a Japan only n64 game, and still contained the NES game furniture, so every console can play Mario 1 lol
Wow! So many people agree with bringing back Mario 35 I even sent a call to Nintendo saying BRING IT BACK!!! And they said “we will pass it on” LIKE THEY WILL!!!
See how he was going in order at the start, but instantly jumped to (mostly) going backwards once he got to the 64, that's what we call padding a video for watch time.
You can also play the GBA version on the GameCube (which is what you did, but it is good for the list). Super Mario Bros Deluxe was on GBC, so the only Nintendo console that can't play Mario 1 is the Gameboy and Virtual Boy.
So, the reason why the 3DS version looks awful is because the 3ds's NES emulator has a filter built into it, it's meant to help with epilepsy but it doesn't do much and there's no way to turn it off without homebrew, the Wii U has the same problem.
1. GameBoy can play GBC games, there is a GBC game called “Super Mario Bros. Deluxe” 2. The WideBoy64 is a Nintendo 64 accessory that lets you play GameBoy & GBC games 3. Virtual Boy doesn’t count. It should be forgotten forever.
Ok, second comment- what about arbitrary code execution? If you look at the fact that they were able to program SMB in SMW and you look what they were able to do with Ocarina of Time, I bet they could get SMB in OoT.
MARIO 35 WAS PEAK 😭😭
YES! Everyday I wish they'd bring it back.
YESSS I MISS IT SO MUCH
YES IT WAS!!!!
I missed it SO MUCH THAT I CALLED NINTENDO AND ASKED TO BRING IT BACK AND THEY SAID “we will pass it on” LIKE THEY WILL!
What was Nintendo thinking
BRING MRIO 35 BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK
Technically the original animal crossing was for the Japanese N64 disc drive so if that version of the game had Mario 1 like the GameCube version you could play Mario 1 on N64
You can also play Super Mario Bros Deluxe Game Boy Color on the Wide Boy 64
He didn’t say the disc drive
@StaatsterWii & @GameBlock_ Animal Forest wasn't a disc drive game but was only on cartridge in Japan, it had a battery to maintain the clock feature. This totally counts!

Mario 35 was *KINGDOM*
Other Nintendo consoles: why can't you have Mario Bros 1?

I always thought Mario Bros 35 was only shut down on my switch because it ended EXACLY when my switch online subscription went down.
I love how you went around and around the N64 because otherwise the video would've ended immediatly 😂😂

In canon timeline, Mario probably had to go through the events of SMB1 once. But if he had to go through it EVERY TIME someone played it on a different console I'd imagine it'd get tiring fast.
Virtual boy, immediate first thought
I never understand anything cdot says in his shorts but he’s still hilarious
Animal crozzling? 😂😂😂
Technically the 64 had a version of animal crossing
Maybe SMB was the consoles we grew with
nothing beats the original nes version, that game brought back the video game industry and kept the concept of a video game still relevant, so if it weren’t for mario we wouldn’t have sh*t
To be fair, the color-tv-game and virtual boy didn’t have SMB1 either…
All Stars fkin messed up such a basic thing: The downwards bounce that happens when you hit a block. It works just fine on SMB3, but not 1/Lost Levels. It instead thrusts you upwards

I mean technically. If you own the Japanese animal crossing cartridge.
I figured this video was going to end with the Virtual Boy
Mario 35 was so good I still have it

welp, no Mario 1 on N64- HOLD UP!
the N64 is capable of playing Gameboy games, so technically it could play the Mario Bros Remakes
No it isn't. Not officially at least.

N64 + WideBoy 64 = gba port of mario 1, its technically an official in-house item, though it was never distributed or anything
Another alternative for the GameCube is the gameboy player, and with that there’s super Mario bros. Deluxe for the gameboy color

You can actually play smb1 through a way to get the game to read garbage data thats how a zelda scene played on sm64
Also Game Boy Color has Super Mario Bros Deluxe
Two Words. Virtual Boy
That doesn’t count
Yes, my favourite Nintendo console Mario 64
Animal Crossing was originally released in Japan on the N64, featuring Mario One
Virtual Boy: so you're ignoring me?
Took me a moment to realize there was no Mario 1 on the N64 💀💀
The N64 does if you use unofficial means...
You can play SMB1 on the N64 through official means
Not in a way meant for general consumers, but you can play it using official Nintendo hardware.
I'm referring to the Wide Boy btw (I'm pretty sure there's some videos on RUclips about it)
@@Quartzer. Tbf, it was never officially released, so would that count as official or unofficial?

the Gameboy Color also has it with Super Mario Bros. DX

technically the original gameboy didnt have a port from my memory, it was just mario bros dx on gbc and the version on gba
Original Game Boy: am I a joke to you?
It don't have SMB1
But it's on GBC which is SMB1 deluxe
There is however a physical rom hack that remakes Mario 1 in Mario 64, I don’t think that counts but still
So every Nintendo console besides the N64 has smb 1, that’s crazy
Bro missed the game boy
Video ends when you find a Microsoft console you can play a Nintendo game on
Xbox one/series x official means too you just need a developer account
You can install retroarch on them

I think the Virtual Boy might be the only Nintendo console which doesn't have SMB1 on it (Animal Crossing was technically on the N64)
kaze watching the video: i did it, there is mario bros on the n64
You can also play the GBA version on the GameCube (which is what you did, but it is good for the list). Super Mario Bros Deluxe was on GBC, so the only Nintendo console that can't play Mario 1 is the Gameboy and Virtual Boy.
Mario is every where
But the nintendo 64 has animal crossing so it does have super mario bros 1
Mario 35 will come back next year as mario 40
Rip c dots sanity
He couldn't mention the N64, DSi, Game Boy, or Virtual Boy all in one video because then he won't be ending his video.
I was so sad I didn’t get to experience Mario 35 😭 I didn’t know about it until it just shut down
It was the gameboy.
I think.
I can't Mario no more.

Virtual boy, game boy, Pokémon mini.

Animal Forest: Am i a joke to you
