A rare disaster film that succeeds in making me care! The story line had a lot more heart than I was expecting. I was expecting this film to be a cheesy film with no heart of character development to it whatsoever. I am so glad that I was proven wrong. The writing in this film was really good, and they managed to balance humor with heart and suspense very well. Kudos to the writers of this film. The acting in this film was great. Glen Powell just showed that he is the next big star of the decade. That man will have success wherever he goes. Daisy Edgar-Jones managed to hold her own as well. She also has a bright future ahead of her as well. Anthony Ramos has also shown that he is a very versatile actor, and that he will be in action films for years to come. The visuals in this movie were so good. I knew walking into this movie that if anything, the visual effects would be good. They looked even better than I was expecting. I am curious if they will plan a sequel to this movie at all. They have set it up for a sequel, but I can't really picture what else they can do! Maybe they will surprise me, like they did with this film. Disaster films have lots of promise. Up until this film, Greenland was the only disaster film I liked. Hopefully this represents a turning tide for the genre! Out of 4 stars I would give it... 4 out of 4 stars Thanks for the review Brando! You're awesome!
The original is my favorite movie. It’s what made me become a meteorologist and storm chaser. I’m so excited for this one. I was worried that it wouldn’t be good and hearing your review is really making me more excited for this. I can’t wait to see this with my mom!
That's awesome! I was even thinking about that during this movie. If people would become meteorologists if they enjoyed Twister or this movie. I really enjoyed it and I hope you do too! And hope you have a good time with your mother!
Just saw the movie in 4D and it's incredible in that format! I loved it as much as you did and I'm shocked about it but there's just one thing I didn't like about the movie (SPOILER WARNING) I didn't like how they killed off Kiernan Shipka in the beginning of the movie... yeah literally the beginning. I wouldn't have minded seeing her character die if it was later in the movie but by doing so in the beginning, they did her so dirty. It's more of a me thing because others probably wouldn't give a shit about it.
@@edmar23 I've seen a couple of movies in 4D now and Twisters is one of the best films for the format. I've seen a handful of films in 4D it's my favorite movie theater format.
Wow i was surprised how much i liked this movie. Im not biggest fan of disaster movies, but this is easily the best disaster movie since Deepwater Horizon. Glen Powell has been amazing roll lately. I really liked him Top Gun Maverick, Anyone But you which i really enjoyed and Hit Man which is one of my favorite movies of the year and if you have not seen that movie than please do. After watching this movie im so happy that there are no tornados in Finland 🌪🇫🇮😬. Yeah im from Europe. Great review Brandon and take care and stay safe 👍.
That guy is crazy lol. I had quite a bit of little kids in my theater. I kind of was surprised by that. For me this movie was ok. I did like the third act despite the fact that I figured what would happen. There definitely was some dialogue choices that were questionable which you pointed out one with the religion aspect.
@BrandoCritic yes but probably more so from beginning to middle. I didn't like hangman all that much. Tbh, I don't think I have been really a fan of most of GP's characters. Tried following him to see the fuss but there hasn't been a single character of his that I can say I loved. All of them seem very similar...lacking infection and always stern even in his comedic roles. No hate to GP.
@@BrandoCritic naahhh the original is way better the 20th century for the most part gave us the best films in franchises that that got sequels later on this one just feels like a remake and I don't like remakes.
@@BrandoCritic why are you bringing the up what's that got with this did that film even get sequels and was it even a remake. anyway my answer is its ok in my personal opinion but I am aware if some call it a masterpiece
Bad movie the story was so bad not one interesting character blasting bad country music special effects are so mudy specially because the theater sucks for such a visualy big movie and not to mention waiting two hours to get inside the premier bad planning on universal pic almost 100 people couldn't get in
Well it’s more political than the first one. But are you looking that though. What’s your definition of political. Because you can argue everything political. With the first one it’s sponsored I’m better than you antagonist. That makes the protagonist get mad for steeling his idea or whatever. But dies because of his arrogance at the end he didn’t listen to the protagonist. That’s twister. Twisters is about a protagonist wanting to help people. Meets another protagonist who is raised differently and maybe has some different political beliefs. You know selling T shirts is a crime. But there is third party where the protagonist learns she is working for some rich guy who takes advantage of other people’s loss. That’s more political than the first movie. It’s not allot but it’s there. It’s always there.
Better than expected lead She was good dialogue a bit corny in parts effects good one complaint was actress who played the mother she had so much lip filler injected into her top lip it was a distraction it looked like a deformaty my partner said "that lip should be in the credits " 7/10.
Hey Brandon, unfortunately I'm going to give Twisters (2024) a hard pass, largely because I'm more interested in seeing Deadpool and Wolverine (2024) and I wish Glen Powell, Anthony Ramos and Daisy Edgar-Jones well promoting the film.
@@BrandoCritic I know that Brandon, it's just that my heart is set on seeing Canada's greatest actor Ryan Reynolds in his most iconic role as Deadpool.
Okay brando..i am telling you this again...stop using the same face in your thumbnails..this face is like 3 times in the last 10 videos...which also consists of 2 different repeats..just capture more..like if you open RUclips videos page on a laptop..one kind of face should not be seen at any point..come on man..

Yeah I got that! But when watching the movie for the first time, I didn't clue in, "Hey! That's that actor!"
I saw Twister in the theater in '96. I love it, as much as I love Jurassic Park. looking forward to seeing this after hearing the positive response!
Hope you love it buddy!
jurrasic park and twister are both great 90s films and considering they both had Spielbergs touch to them and his refreshing cinematic style.
I will definitely see this film. I truly liked Powell's performance in Top Gun Maverick. Sorry about the burping guy and the screaming child.
Haha no need to apologize! They made the experience memorable haha

That’s just appeal to a certain audience. I get it but it’s pretty on the nose.
Just seen it today! Cool effects but otherwise extremely anticlimactic. Wanted to clobber GP's character throughout. No hate.😂
Why?
@BrandoCritic Brando, i can't even explain it, but i felt like this 😬 with his character. Maybe it's a trauma response to hangman lol.
A trauma response? He did the right thing in the end of that movie didn't he?
