    Needlework is definitely good for the soul. I deal with chronic pain and have had multiple doctors commend me for using that as a means of helping with pain control and meditation. Thanks for doing these videos and showing us various aspects of stitching. I have been to The Attic several times but hope you are able to show us around the store as you did at Sassy Jacks. ❤️

    Thanks to both of you for the wonderful videos from The Attic. How I would love to visit that shop some day. Loved seeing all the beautiful accessories, threads and linen. I am going to have to call-in an order on some linen. Just beautiful colors. So enjoyed the visit. Norma in Boise, ID

    Nicola....Thank you so much for all these lovely videos!! I learn something every time I watch and am so appreciative that you share with us!! Hope you don't mind a question....I have not used silks before but over the past year or so have gotton to love 40 ct linen. Last year when I attended a Prim Stitchers Retreat I was super excited to purchase a piece of Lakeside uneven weave 52/60. I have yet to stitch anything on it yet.....I tried a row using just regular DMC and it just seemed too bulky. I t seemed the thread was too thick on that high count. So my question is....could you discuss the different silks out there and the difference in their thickness and how they lay on these higher count linens? Also I heard using a "ballpoint" needle is helpful with these linens so you don't split the threads. I have never used or even seen one. Could you shed light on that too? Lastly, there was a rumor that Lakeside was no longer dyeing linen....but I just saw your interview with Pat....so I feel relieved to assume that was just a rumor? A friend tried emailing and got an error message so thought they had gone out of business? Thanks again! Lisa

      Lisa K I released a video yesterday that will show the difference between a few threads. For 52/60 I would recommend au ver a soie surfine or Tudor

    How do the Soie Surfine and the 100/3 differ?

    • @francescavan6838
      @francescavan6838 5 лет назад +3

      The main difference is on the costruction of the two threads that are made of the same kind of spun silk. The 100/3 is composed by 3 "strands" Z twisted together and the Surfine is made of 2 "strands" ( 130/2). Hope this helps:)
