My biracial nieces look white but they are half black.
I come a bit late but try In the Soup, with Steve Buscemi. Great little film and she's stunning as always.

She made sure that most roles played is based on her own life. She had the late Ossie Davis play her dad mirroring her own life
She only identifies as black when she needs a role for a movie.
