You can not charge you battery with that little adaptor. It is design so you can plug it into your battery and then use it to charge a cell phone or tablet. I tried to charge a battery and nothing happened. the adaptor that you said charges the battery with usb does not actually do so. it is used to charge the remote or your phone using the drone battery as a power source.
I think pre 7/20 models need to be individually activated. Some batteries would not come out of hibernation when using the hub to activate them. They addressed it in a firmware update in May. Still good practice to activate each batteries individually.
yes, activation is recommended to charge one at a time. However with the hub they actually charge one at a time, so that’s why the activation works just fine. but yes, it’s better to just activate one at a time and not using the hub right away according to DJI

Modern types of batteries don't usually have these issues, but if DJI rec's it, follow their guidance. Just run the battery until it's closer to dead before recharging.

Hello don't charge all three batteries in the hub when you first get the aircraft charge it with the one the regular charger. All of the batteries are in sleep mode but after the first battery is fully charged then you can use the hub no problem, Hope this helps :)

I just received mine - I got the fly more package. I just read that they are recommending that you do not use the charging bar for the first time. Something about the batteries not being able to come out of hibernation mode. Instead they said to charge each battery individually for the first initial charge. Right off the bat, I am having an Error on mine and never even flew it once. it is a 30085 code. Hoping I don't need to send it back before I even get a chance to fly it. Anyone know anything about that code? I've see people say firmware update, but most say it doesn't do anything.
yes, according to DJI you need to charge one at a time. However they came out of hibernation with the bar since the bar charges one at a time anyways , it doesn’t charge them all at the same time. so that’s why it worked

From what I understand a LiPo battery cannot be fully charged and stored without destroying themselves so DJI has then auto discharge some down to around 50% for safety and preservation reasons. However the Mavic Mini which uses Lithium Ion batteries don't do any damage if left 100% charged so you can store them fully charged with no harm.
I was told they turn off when charged, also not to use the multi charger for the first time. But this is from dji the info so think I'll take this into consideration

Do not use it for your first charge. Charge one battery at a time using the cable from the brick. There are know issues id you do. Lots of you tube videos on this issue.

These new batteries are supposedly 'smart'. Which means they will automatically discharge after a period of time. So do not expect a fully charged battery to last long. Also, they are pre-programmed to die after a specific amount of charges, regardless if they can continue to sustain a charge. It is called 'built in obsolescence' and designed to get users to keep buying upgrades and new gear.
I am new to the DJI mavic Air 2 when I am charging the batteries when I put them on they are not giving me any kind of visual thing that they are charging they should be fully charged but I'm still not getting them to light up while on the triple unit charger but when I push the three button down like each individually they say their full ...so I unplugged it everything in unattached all the batteries again swap them around plugged everything back in put the three batteries back onto the charging pad board and then plugged in the power to it and it did not show me that it was charging or that they were fully charged nothing happened but when like I said I pushed the button it says they are fully charged shouldn't it try to charge them even a little bit or show me that they're full or at least go through partial cycle to show me that it tried to at least charge it?? Please people tell me what happens when you guys try to charge or top up even if they are all full because like I said even though they are fully charged possibly when I connect it they are not even doing anything the light is staying off on all three batteries but the charging light where it plugs in is turning green but nothing is happening to the batteries not going through any sort of process?
I don't think you're supposed to use the 3 battery charger for the initial charge....you charge them one at a time for the first charge and then it's ok to use the 3 terminals....

if not use for spare. battery must drain. if for abroad to other country, battery must drain too and seal with Lipo special bag anti decompression bag and must on carry luggage.

No. DJI will do whatever they can to milk customers for every cent. All charging ports are unique on all models and are not interchangeable. Except for the a/c to charger cord, which is not included in Mavic Air 2, just the charger with cable to battery.
Why couldn't they have just put a simple charge plugin port on the drone? That would be so much easier to deal with. Does anyone know if there's such a drone?
@@shurikenmedia , Why wouldn't it be feasible? USB C charging should be feasible on any size drone, because it would be a lot easier and quicker rather than changing out a battery each time it needs recharged, It might charge a little slower, but still more convenient.
@@bobby1970 Because the USB port on most chargers only outputs 5v. You can not charge a 12v battery with less current. If they create a USB C 'only' dedicated port that can accommodate the higher output, then it would be feasible. Though people will likely burn out their other devices if the USB is the same type of standard connector. So a new version of USB C cable will need to be developed prior. Of course this is dependent on DJI connecting the wiring internally to the battery leads. They are only connected to memory board now on their higher end prosumer drones.

What is the point of having a charging strip if it only charges one battery at a time. It would make sense if it charged the 3 batteries at once. It sounds like a pointless accessory because it would be the same as charging one battery, when it’s done charge the next battery.
The second device is not to charge the batteries, it is to use the batteries as a charger for other devices FYI.

Yes. It will drain. I left my fully charged battery in the air 2 for two weeks. Only 3 lights on battery lit after that

Sorry, the Power Bank does not charge the batteries as it says in this video. It can only be used to charge another device FROM the DJI battery

The Mini have USB C charge capability. No other DJI drones do. Not enough power through the port to make it feasible.
