I remember the first time I heard this, aged 14. Went into a Dixons (remember that shop? An electronics retailer that no longer exists), the guy who worked there was pumping this out to demo a new hifi system, it fucking blew my mind!

I was fortunate enough to have a dad who loved music I was exposed to such music at the age of 9 years, thanks to Dj Fresh SA he complied fresh 4 and that's where I got full absorbed into house.

Listening to this track through some hi fidelity speakers brings out of loads of details I've not heard before, mainly bass details but they sound great!
Still Rockin in 2023 house music ,, not everybody understands house music, it a spiritual thing a body thing a soul thing ,, house music.
I remember the first time I heard this when it was first rolled out in a club. It stunned me, it made me so lightheaded and excited, high I guess. The blood and energy ran up the back of my head as I got excited and energized from the building bass and vocals in that small club Red in DC. I ran up to the DJ to ask him who this was and terrified the poor guy with my energy and excitement and vigorously sharp movements and gestures to punctuate that I wanted to know who made this track.
Wow, great story! Thanks for that! The ironic thing is that Doug played it a couple of times at Red and didn’t think it went over all that well, so he stopped playing it. And I made the bulk of the track, but it wasn’t one of my favorites, yet it became our biggest hit! Wish we had at least made the artist name “95 North pres. Johnny Corporate”. 🙂

@@bensweiss 1. Thanks! 2. I would say "Hold On" with Sabrynaah Pope, "Bassline" as D.C. Track Team, and "Who's Hoo" as Da Hooligans off the top of my head. 3. Don't really know why we didn't follow up. We had gone back to regular jobs and doing music part-time again. A big regret was not releasing this record as 95 North. 4. Doug has a new residency and the newly revived Club Red in DC on Sunday nights. 5. Not sure who that may have been. Thanks again!
