Not only is Esenvalds a fantastic composer, but also, one of the nicest men I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He was truly a delight to work with. :)

I found this after reading an article in "Space" about sounds the Northern Lights make that are occasionally audible to the human ear.
I absolutely love this mystical performance. The wine glasses and tone bells add a quality that pulls everything together with the tenor and puts one in the far north observing and hearing the rare sounds of the Aurora Borealis.
    Thank you.

So mesmerizing, so beautiful. Everyone has an open mouth as if they are nests and birds will fly out of them. They are so close to nature.

Pamanīju labo video FB, kur kāds fotogrāfs bij veiksmīgi nopostējis. Domāju redz cik talantīgs! Labi ka noskatījos līdz galam un atpazinu parakstu! Jā, labs darbs, tiešām skaisti. Iesaku darbus "parakstīt", var jau video sākumā...

+mcouzijn don't be so rude. To the original commenter, the glasses are filled with water and when they rub the top of the glass it makes a nice high pitched tone

Haha. Good question! The reason why some people have it and some do not, is because to spread the sound and not be so overpowering. Like, in sections, there are more people in parts than some. You just don't want too many Piccolo in a section. Hence why some only have one or two, usually one, because the pitch is higher than most. Just some example.
