They usually come together in a community pin board where they all share their art together there They're kinda hard to come by since you can only find them being advertised in some art relate posts (where they share links or probably something along the lines of dming them to join or something) but its super fun! I find the community to be quite tight knit there Some artists even host DTIYs and Art contests there too : )

Same, it seems really hard to get into the art content world. I now have instagram, deviantart, tiktok and youtube. Deviantart and instagram get basically 0 interaction. Yt was getting in the low hundreds of views for my shorts, which is pretty ok. Tiktok was getting in the 70s for a few days and then 0 for 3 days, so I already gave up again on that one... Might give it a while and see if something changes again.
I've actually just started posting on Pinterest, but it's really just for fun. And even if it takes a WHILE to be discovered, it's still kinda nice to post stuff there
Tumblr has all these upsides. It has the engagement over time and followers actually increasing ur number of impressions. theres less art theft, there are comments and reblogs which let others give u feedback, and u can even have multiple easily accesible blogs for posting different types of art, having a personal blog, or whatever else you want -- and its easily accesible to you and to followers. Tumblr is great for art tbh
i haven't even started watching but i post my art on pinterest!! i just made the acc a few days ago. ive had a main acc 4 a few years now and ive realised that the site is SUPER buggy and the moderation isn't the best, but otherwise it has 2 b my fav social media site . also yeah abt posts getting views and comments months after its posted i get recommended tons of post from like, 2018-2021. i really like the link thing 2 its so silly i can link songs if my art has lyrics and shit and i can link other posts if i got inspired by something. but oh my god the REPOSTING... ALWAYS watermark your art. because it probably will get reposted on pinterest if you're popular enough . and if you recognise an artist on pinterest always credit them. not only that but there's currently a huge problem of bot accounts stealing posts and linking them 2 sum sketchy article . ive had my posts stolen (not my art ones, thankfully) and the posts get pretty popular too. its awful . but otherwise i like it a lot!! great video :)
Pintrest always just seemed so fun to post in, i didn't know there was this much engagment since i didn't have a bussnise account yet :0 now i'll have more numbers to obess over HEHEHE
Grown-ups are very fond of numbers. When you tell them about a new friend, they never ask you the kind of questions that should be asked, such as: “What kind of voice does he have?” “What are his favourite games?” “Does he collect butterflies?” Instead they ask: “How old is he? - The Little Prince
YESS!! as a small artist that started on Pinterest, I've gotten a preeetty good engagement (and a pretty good amount of followers might I add) its very good for starting small artists.
Hi, might I ask how you got good engagement and amount of followers? Did you do anything particular? I'd like to get started on Pinterest but Idk what to do to gain engagement/followers
@@thatgoblininyourtoilet i honestly just started posting, using tags helps alot and i also interacted with fellow artists for them to eventually interact with my profile! its pretty good but you do need to be patient with it.
Thank you SO much for telling me this! I totally forgot to check in on my old stuff and it’s actually so smart in practice! Definitely gonna use it more now
I’d love to, but art theft being pretty bad there is immediately something I don’t want to deal with at all, especially since my art style’s changing 😅
I started posting on Pinterest and have gotten no engagement so I pretty much stopped, but this kinda reassured me to do that again so I'll give it a go and if it doesn't work I always have Instagram. This video is really informative for something so short. Good work!
As a Pinterest artist I can say it's great for beginner artists if they don't feel like starting out on Instagram or Tiktok (for obvious reasons) I've got like 790 followers but my pet peeve is that I get noticed for the memes I post and comments i leave frequently WAY more than my actual art💀 Don't get me wrong I appreciate it but COME ON why does a stupid pic i posted of a 3d printed amogus with the rock face have 2 thousand saves while my art gets 5 saves at most lmaooo
You know what? I came into this video fully expecting a shameless plug for some fresh and new "Art sharing" platform (I've never seen your content before), and I was hit with PINTEREST? What a new take for me, but it's something I wish I had thought of years ago! It really is a nice and easygoing platform to post on, and starting to post on there before anyone else takes your art and does it instead is a good idea.
I immediately recognized the yokai watch music and it made me so happy. I never thought about using pinterest for uploading art but I use it all the time for references. I might try it sometime!
Loved the video! Never considered pinterest as an option but now that I think about it some of my favorite artists have been found from there! Also omg deep cut aquarium keychain?? Sign me uppp lol
Very helpful, thank you for making this video (: ! I’ve been torn between platforms to post on because none of them seem like the best choice. This makes me feel better abt Pinterest. Also, I really enjoyed the yokai watch music.
Pinterest is known for stealing people's art and even if you try to report it being stolen it's very hard to do, that's why i don't think it's a good idea to post your art there and mostly use it for references that is useful to artist, best places to post art are, tumblr, inkblot, and kofi.
Thank you for making this video! As an artist this really inspires me to share my art more and I already enjoy Pinterest as it is so all the tips you shared really help. ^_^
ooh ill consider posting on pinterest now,, ive been thinking about getting it anyway lol also love the cookie run art!!! it looks so soft and fluffy wower,,,
i was in a pinterest art community group, we all shared a board with sections for ota’s, tta’s, etc. that group was full of drama and art was stolen from me and others for a while but it’s always just good to have a community :3c adoptable gang bitches wya!!!
Thanks so much for this video! I didn't even consider pinterest because 1. I know this app as a place where every single art is stolen 2. People in the comments hate a lot. I don't wanna do commisions, but I just wanna draw my silly little ships because NO ONE ships it and I wanna create at least some content for it, and I didn't know what platform to use. If I leave watermarks and try to ignore hate comments maybe I can do it! I'll be using pinterest and tumbl from now on! I'm so glad this popped up on my youtube page.
hot take, but like.. i disagree with the idea that pinterest is better solely because of the way your account grows and the way people can interact with your posts on there (which was my main takeaway from the video, at least)! i think there’s a specific focus on numbers and likes in this video that i have to disagree with; like yes, it is so fun and gratifying to see your work be recognized and loved, but falling into the trap of only caring about those things is a self-fulfilling prophecy for a bad relationship with art. and it’s also not the only reason to use social media to post your art! i do love pinterest because of how peaceful and passive it is, but i also dislike it because of the way it discourages artists on there from connecting with each other. only focusing on “growth” and less on connecting with others on that platform is the #1 gripe i have with it (whether that be because of the art theft, or just the lack of artists who actually post on the platform). i would love to see that change though, especially if this video encourages others to join the app. love the video and pinterest, i just wanted to add onto the conversation! here’s to hoping the artist community on there grows!
Interesting to hear your take! In my personal experience, I've had pretty positive interactions on the platform through comments and as I said, an increased brand awareness which carried out to my other platforms. My focus on metrics comes from my background in marketing! I don't mean to come off as callous when I discuss art from a business perspective, but for artists who are looking to pay their bills with a social media presence- growth and making those numbers can be quite important, especially when you put so much work into creating something tou want people to see! I'd love to see a more intrinsic take from your perspective considering you are quite experienced with Pinterest! :D
@@zepn1 i agree from a marketing standpoint, but without making that point clear i think this way of thinking could be harmful to younger artists who are looking to social media as a form as validation, instead of a form of income. perpetuating the idea of a “sweet dopamine rush” and only looking at growth strategies just rubbed me in the wrong way in that regard. i understand people have to pay the bills and this is definitely good advice for how to market yourself on there, i think i just viewed this video in a different light than originally intended. to each their own!
I love Pinterest and I wanna post there now that I’ve gotten more happier abt my art, but due to past events of people reposting my art without credit I’m too scared too. Like, at least half of my art was taken and reposted. Even found out later that it was a friend that I had only seen like, twice. Didn’t even give her my socials.
I think that the best place depends on what you want out of the art. I mean some sites are great for engagement. Like artists looking at other artist. The thing is when you are looking to make a penny and only the people that wants to sell too are there is a bit frustrating 😅
i remember posting a reeeellly shitty drawin' of my oc during the depression era that is 2020 (i looked back at it and holy shite that's terrible) someone still complimented it and honestly i still think about that interaction to this day. the community's super nice
@suikabe I don't recognize the other songs(they are probably from different games like Yokai Watch) but the first song they played is definitely from Tomodachi Island, it's the Food Mart theme. I only know because I played the heck out of that game and it was one of my favorite theme songs. xD
i used to post on a collaboration board called The Drawing Crew and that was one of the only places people actually engaged with my artwork... considering going back to it ngl
tumblr's slightly similar about this in that it's slow burn, you get your likes and stuff over time rather than all at once like you would on twitter or something
best place to get your art stolen, reposted without credit, have people save it and use it as their merchandise, and possibly made into AI without you ever knowing about it. :D
I post a lot on Pinterest. Sometimes I make posts and forget abt them, suddenly when I revisit them they get like 200k impressions and 2k saves or so it’s crazy. It’s not as wild as insta or TikTok bc there ur required to post a lot more often and that just burns u out.
How? I fell like i must be doing something wrong cause i literally get nothing, its been like this for months... Absolutely 0 people have seen my posts... Do you just post it?
@@heyits_Marlo is ur acc a business account? I think that kinda helps,, other than that just add a proper description/ title and tags, I don’t do that but it helps. Try to participate in trends bc the ones on Pinterest are not as spontaneous as the ones on TikTok and last for MONTHS. Other than that just post as much as u can, post for fun and don’t take it too seriously :] my posts take a lot of time to get interaction too but instead they just blow up, so it’s nothing to worry about. What’s ur acc btw?
i think Tumblr and Pinterest are probably gonna have more traction in the future they're both apps that're very comfortable for artists and house mostly fandoms. Instagram's kinda lost its spark for me personally, esp since they added reels and changed up the algorithm and how tags work, I don't know if I'll stay there much longer. I've thought about Pinterest before but needed more, like insight? great video btw and I love your art
Thanks so much for this video, I'm definitely going to shift my focus on Pinterest more. My only question is, why should you post multiple of the same artwork, does that help with growth or engagement, won't it look bulky in your pin gallery? I would love to know because I might start doing that.
As a Pinterest girlie, can confirm. How many pins have I saved of the same frame of my favorite anime, with different filters and edits? No clue! Love it though :0)
BTW, other than pinterest, what other places should I post my art? I was thinking tumblr, but as a minor I'm unsure what would work best without encountering weird people (or keeping that a minimum)
HAIYIII pinterest artist (not v big) here,, i drew this roblox pfp last yr in like march, and it has been getting CONSISTENT saves and interaction for the last like.. 10 months. I've been plannign 2 start drawing and posting phighting content and i rlly luv it its so kewl

Also nowadays there’s a crazy amount of AI art on there… idk, it gives me an icky feeling
yeah thats why ive always avoided pinterest like the plague
I feel like you just need a logo to put all over your art! It’s a lot hard to steal that way!
ai art has been infesting pinterest lately so artists posting their own art can def help counteract the spread of ai in the website
The amount of times I search for references or inspiration and am flooded with just ai is horrible
Yep, I've been searching wallpapers and for some reason it appears a lot of ai wallpapers : (
Worst part is, you cannot filter that garbage out other than manipulating the feed algorithm to your favor.
Like, bruh.
The comments often call out if something is ai art or credited so that’s good
FR THOUGH recently my sister was looking up houses for color pallete inspo for bloxburg.. and the house was AI?!? It's crazy rn

(also sorry abt the long rant comment) 🦭🦭
You can do it man !! Ill be cheering you on from here
Same, it seems really hard to get into the art content world.
And even if it takes a WHILE to be discovered, it's still kinda nice to post stuff there
The yokai watch music in the background of this video fills me with so much joy bc Yokai watch was my childhood
I posted a lot of my drawing on Pinterest and a year later someone finally seen one of my posts and called it trash😭🙏🏼
Where is it? I can support it, even if it's not to my taste I can leave one of those smiley face or heart things to help it in the algorithm!

YES. Get this out more, TUMBLR IS THE BEST!! ❤
i haven't even started watching but i post my art on pinterest!! i just made the acc a few days ago. ive had a main acc 4 a few years now and ive realised that the site is SUPER buggy and the moderation isn't the best, but otherwise it has 2 b my fav social media site . also yeah abt posts getting views and comments months after its posted i get recommended tons of post from like, 2018-2021. i really like the link thing 2 its so silly i can link songs if my art has lyrics and shit and i can link other posts if i got inspired by something. but oh my god the REPOSTING...
Pintrest always just seemed so fun to post in, i didn't know there was this much engagment since i didn't have a bussnise account yet :0
now i'll have more numbers to obess over HEHEHE
Grown-ups are very fond of numbers. When you tell them about a new friend, they never ask you the kind of questions that should be asked, such as: “What kind of voice does he have?” “What are his favourite games?” “Does he collect butterflies?” Instead they ask: “How old is he? - The Little Prince
Rather have a fan base tho

YESS!! as a small artist that started on Pinterest, I've gotten a preeetty good engagement (and a pretty good amount of followers might I add) its very good for starting small artists.
Hi, might I ask how you got good engagement and amount of followers? Did you do anything particular? I'd like to get started on Pinterest but Idk what to do to gain engagement/followers
@@thatgoblininyourtoilet i honestly just started posting, using tags helps alot and i also interacted with fellow artists for them to eventually interact with my profile! its pretty good but you do need to be patient with it.
ayo i can't believe i found an youtuber artist still loving Yokai watch, this warm my heart
i’m always on pinterest looking at art, idk why i never thought to post MY art there LOL. great vid! :D
Nice points, and nice Yokai Watch music in the bg
I started posting on Pinterest and have gotten no engagement so I pretty much stopped, but this kinda reassured me to do that again so I'll give it a go and if it doesn't work I always have Instagram. This video is really informative for something so short. Good work!
yes yes i love when i see people posting their art on pinterest it makes me happy also your art is gorgeous
I heard about this suggestion maybe few months ago. I had many old art. And I think I am going to post it on pinterest now, thank you for motivation!
COOKIE RUN ART NO WAY I LOVE ITTT
You know what? I came into this video fully expecting a shameless plug for some fresh and new "Art sharing" platform (I've never seen your content before), and I was hit with PINTEREST? What a new take for me, but it's something I wish I had thought of years ago! It really is a nice and easygoing platform to post on, and starting to post on there before anyone else takes your art and does it instead is a good idea.
THANK YOU for making this video, i’ll keep this in mind when i eventually start posting my art!!! :-D
I immediately recognized the yokai watch music and it made me so happy.
I never thought about using pinterest for uploading art but I use it all the time for references. I might try it sometime!
OMG OMG OMG I FOUND YOU OUT ON PINTEREST THATS ACTUALLY HILARIOUS (i always save pics of your art cause they give me ideas!!!!!)
Also, I really enjoyed the yokai watch music.
girl ur haunting me on every social media page fr (I subbed)
Pinterest is known for stealing people's art and even if you try to report it being stolen it's very hard to do, that's why i don't think it's a good idea to post your art there and mostly use it for references that is useful to artist, best places to post art are, tumblr, inkblot, and kofi.
That’s a cool unexpected idea I should try for myself out! Also cool to see a fellow CRK enthusiast 🥳✨
Number one, THANK YOU for getting straight to the point! Secondly.....I like your art. it pretty. subbing now
Thank you for making this video! As an artist this really inspires me to share my art more and I already enjoy Pinterest as it is so all the tips you shared really help. ^_^
As a person who posts art and is on pinterest like half the day i can confirm this is real guys😛
omg great vid but for some reason i was so happy ab the yokai watch music in the background
i am a pinterest artist and it is always so lovely on there ppl are 10x kinder and it’s mostly all girls so it’s nice:))
This rlly helps me bc I’ve been trying to figure out where to start posting art because I don’t like Instagram or twitter or TikTok
Never thought about posting on Pinterest before! I should give it a try
i remember when Pinterest was my main social media, and i recognized people FROM Pinterest on RUclips, not the other way around 😭
i made a pinterest just so i could save pins of my reposted/stolen art but its actually helped people find me and discover my other art hobbies
ooh ill consider posting on pinterest now,, ive been thinking about getting it anyway lol
also love the cookie run art!!! it looks so soft and fluffy wower,,,
i was in a pinterest art community group, we all shared a board with sections for ota’s, tta’s, etc. that group was full of drama and art was stolen from me and others for a while but it’s always just good to have a community :3c adoptable gang bitches wya!!!

@@FainthedCherryREEAALLLLL… haven’t bought one in months since my pin acc kinda got banned WHOOPS but ikwym 😼
Ive already had found you in pinterest and i was so suprised !!
The struggle on Red Velvets eye killed me
I actually found your channel through Pintrest! (I'm so happy I did lol)
hot take, but like.. i disagree with the idea that pinterest is better solely because of the way your account grows and the way people can interact with your posts on there (which was my main takeaway from the video, at least)!
i think there’s a specific focus on numbers and likes in this video that i have to disagree with; like yes, it is so fun and gratifying to see your work be recognized and loved, but falling into the trap of only caring about those things is a self-fulfilling prophecy for a bad relationship with art. and it’s also not the only reason to use social media to post your art!
i do love pinterest because of how peaceful and passive it is, but i also dislike it because of the way it discourages artists on there from connecting with each other. only focusing on “growth” and less on connecting with others on that platform is the #1 gripe i have with it (whether that be because of the art theft, or just the lack of artists who actually post on the platform). i would love to see that change though, especially if this video encourages others to join the app.
love the video and pinterest, i just wanted to add onto the conversation! here’s to hoping the artist community on there grows!
I'm gonna be off-topic, but I find your voice very calming and satisfying
I don't really post my art online but I used to use this as a kid and it was pretty cool, I remember lots of baking recipes
Your crk art is so cute!! Was pleasantly surprised to see it lol :]
Also tumblr is also really good bcs of its tagging system. Especially for fanart.
i love your artwork! I am impressed that you were a huge fan of cookie run kingdom
DRAWING CRK MAKES ME LOVE U EVEN MORE :33
OH MY GOD??? I SAW UR ART ON PINTEREST ITS SO GOOD 🤤🤤
I think that the best place depends on what you want out of the art. I mean some sites are great for engagement. Like artists looking at other artist. The thing is when you are looking to make a penny and only the people that wants to sell too are there is a bit frustrating 😅
i remember posting a reeeellly shitty drawin' of my oc during the depression era that is 2020
(i looked back at it and holy shite that's terrible)
someone still complimented it and honestly i still think about that interaction to this day. the community's super nice
Is no one gonna talk about the TOMODACHI MUSIC playing in the background??? I absolutely love that game
You mean yokai watch?
@suikabe I don't recognize the other songs(they are probably from different games like Yokai Watch) but the first song they played is definitely from Tomodachi Island, it's the Food Mart theme. I only know because I played the heck out of that game and it was one of my favorite theme songs. xD
i used to post on a collaboration board called The Drawing Crew and that was one of the only places people actually engaged with my artwork... considering going back to it ngl
tumblr's slightly similar about this in that it's slow burn, you get your likes and stuff over time rather than all at once like you would on twitter or something
came for the crk thumbnail stayed for the video 😊 love your art, new sub now!
best place to get your art stolen, reposted without credit, have people save it and use it as their merchandise, and possibly made into AI without you ever knowing about it. :D
Mildly unrelated, but, HOW DARE U MAKE ME MANUALLY BREATHE (meaning this in the nicest way possible

I’ve never considered posting art on Pinterest. Thanks for the new 2024 art idea!
whoa, didn't even know this was an option. i might start doing this now!
Ooo, I know you. I'm a subscriber didn't think I'd find you here. Hi!
I SEE U IN PINTEREST AND I'M SO GLAD I FOUND YOU ON RUclips!!
10/10 vid, do recommend (I haven't even finished the video yet)
i think Tumblr and Pinterest are probably gonna have more traction in the future they're both apps that're very comfortable for artists and house mostly fandoms. Instagram's kinda lost its spark for me personally, esp since they added reels and changed up the algorithm and how tags work, I don't know if I'll stay there much longer. I've thought about Pinterest before but needed more, like insight? great video btw and I love your art
I don’t post my art on Pinterest but I’ve been thinking of doing so! It’s so easy to find an audience on there
I need to try this! I spend hours on Pinterest a day looking at art and story inspiration, so I don’t know why I never thought of this.
Thanks so much for this video, I'm definitely going to shift my focus on Pinterest more. My only question is, why should you post multiple of the same artwork, does that help with growth or engagement, won't it look bulky in your pin gallery? I would love to know because I might start doing that.
More opportunities for the art to be seen!
(Off topic-ish) Your Red Velvet cookie drawing is so cute!
As a Pinterest girlie, can confirm. How many pins have I saved of the same frame of my favorite anime, with different filters and edits? No clue! Love it though :0)
Okay, I'll start posting my art !
BTW, other than pinterest, what other places should I post my art? I was thinking tumblr, but as a minor I'm unsure what would work best without encountering weird people (or keeping that a minimum)
Pinterest has a huge problem w stealing art tho also the quality of images gets FRIED when you upload them
HAIYIII pinterest artist (not v big) here,, i drew this roblox pfp last yr in like march, and it has been getting CONSISTENT saves and interaction for the last like.. 10 months. I've been plannign 2 start drawing and posting phighting content and i rlly luv it its so kewl
