- Another song for y'all. I didn't know how jazzy this song was until I knew about jazz. The album this song is on came out in '97. I remember hearing this song as a kid. The album also has "Stomp" on it. Kirk Franklin made Gospel music appealing to the younger crowd. He still does.
I kinda did my own thing with it. I love this tune!
From the 1997 album "God's Property".
Backing Track by me.

Yes!
That was beautiful😪
So good
Super Dope!!!!!
You put your own soul and funk on that...nice...something about the lag and drag of it...you went earth wind and fire on it.
And the ending was flawless...hit the chords right on.
You went like j dilla on the end..on the, "there must be a God somewhere".
Up above my head
I hear music in the air
Up above my head
There's a melody so bright
And fair I can hear when I'm all alone
Even in those times I feel all hope is gone
Up above my head
I hear joy bells ringing
Up above my head
I hear angels singing
There must be a God somewhere
There must be a God somewhere
2x
I hear music in the air (I hear music in the air)
I hear music everywhere (everywhere)
There must be a God somewhere (there must be a G-d somewhere)
5x
There must be a God somewhere (there must be a God somewhere)
There must be a God somewhere (some where far beyond the clouds)
There must be a God somewhere (some where far beyond the moon)
There must be a God somewhere (there must be a God somewhere)
There must be a God somewhere (there must be a God somewhere)
There must be a God somewhere (there must be a God somewhere)
There must be a God somewhere (somewhere)
