It has a deck honed block, stronger crank, rods, pistons, upgraded valvetrain components, a more aggressive camshaft profile, the bigger 2.7 IHI supercharger, gates green SC belt stock, more boost, a higher red line, and the list goes on... According to Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis, the only part carried over from the original Hellcat engine to the Demon/Redeye engine was the head castings... it's a common misconception that the two engines are pretty much the same other than the bigger supercharger... People probably assume they are mostly the same engine because they look almost identical to one another besides the color of the blocks and valve covers...
