It is said that.... a blind girl asked Beethoven how the moon looked like. She had never seen her beauty and was tremendously curious. Beethoven didnt know how to tell it as no visual description could help the girl. He understood that the only way was telling it in the language of emotions...This is how and why "moonlight Sonata" was composed.
+Lugnos Dee Wow, that is beautiful. I almost cried reading that =)
I thought Beethoven was deaf
+Penny Tration He didn't start to lose his hearing until 1798
Kelsey Copeland Thought he was born with it.Thank you for informing me!
No problem.
I wish I gave classical music more credit when I was younger. Now that I'm older, I listen to it to combat high bouts of depression and it works every time. Take care of one another people x
Amen to that ! Eye-rolling sundays here come the classical records again.... -and roast beef dinner.- Now, I even remember some of the names of the pieces/composers.
Thank you dad, for such a -unprogressive dystopian- childhood 🤣🤣🤣😢

I'm listening to this while I'm still young and it's amazing! I don't understand how people think it's so boring and not good.
Alright pendulum
I love that young people still listen to classical music. It will remain timeless forever. :)

Really? Then how come musicians still play these synphonies in 2017?

1998 and i'm in love with this music :)💕
Classical music is so unfairly underrated! It's fantastic, definitely for every age, not only for the elderly! I love it!
Classical is so emotional! The feels are killing me!
Its really beautiful and says more than any other genre of music, in my eyes. I totally agree with you also!
+Eyob Sisay (Edge)
Though that is the case most of the time, I think that some people dislike this music because they have to to be "accepted".

Classical music is the foundation of modern humanity. And everyone who was there knew it.
I love all kinds of music, but sometimes I just get tired of lyrics and simple pop structure, generally speaking. Orchestrated music always expands my mind, soul, and energy. God bless.

That's not true, actually this music has been listened, played and studied for centuries. If you mean this is not a "mass consumer object", it doesn't matter, it never was.
Yes
They do listen to it.. everyday in one way or another. Either with movies and cartoons, or their influence on most music composed since :)

Classical music is so relaxing and always calms my soul when. Especially when you’re stressed ♥
Fun fact: Mozart once listened to a 14 minute performance called Miserere, went home later that day and wrote the whole piece entirely from memory. He was 14 years old at the time.
@Indian Joe he wrote his first opera long before 14

Same for my daughter. She loves it.
My kid will be playing this if i have any say... LoL that is 1 thing I feel is a must in life is music, and with that being said what better tools to give them than being able to play music...?
👶😘🥰
Not like my neighbor... She sing to her baby a repetitive verse of a kid song with a bad voice... And she makes me listen to this music loud, cause i can't sleep when she's singing :'(
I prefer the baby crying than she singing... I'm not a bad person, I'm tired
@@MadJackChurchiII 😃😃 I feel you mate 🙄
Fun fact: What actually happens is that the calming effect induced by classical music releases dopamine to spike pleasure. The dopamine also prevents the release of stress hormones. From here, mood is improved, which therefore clarifies thinking - making tasks like essay writing and studying a lot more enjoyable.

Sandro Saladze yeah , nobody will remember the crazy and fucking ..... Despasito...
Same Feeling. LOL
Its because classic is Not just music, classic is much more its a type of our feelings and emotions. More than this "New" music.
Bill Gates;
Classic IS music, not everyone likes it nor not everyone hates it. If you say that Classical is a type of feelings or emotions, wouldn't you think that every single music IS also a type of feelings or emotions? Even the bad songs gives us the emotions of hatred towards it, or maybe just plain boredom.
If you feel more emotions towards through this music, then good for you. So do other people who feel happy, smooth, and sweet on jazz music, hardcore, cool and relatable through rap music, catchy and feel like dancing through pop music, etc.
Just like Classical got Beethoven, Bach, Mozart and Chopin
Pop got MJ, Whitney, Madonna, and Prince
Rap got Eminem, Kendrick, Tupac and Biggie
Rock got Queen, Rush, Guns N' Roses and Led Zeppelin, etc.
And even EDM (Which I call, the modern classical) has Zedd, NGHTMRE, GRiZ, etc. And most of the best producers/DJs are classically trained!
It's the same thing all over again.
Anyways, in conclusion for this comment, Classical is basically music. No other way to best describe it other than that.
I love any kind of genre, whether it is rap, rock, EDM, Classical, Jazz, and maybe even some Pop, and I ain't a musical student (Although I can play piano and drums). So that's my take in. Thanks for reading

It's been said many times but this is the best classical music compilation I have ever listened to
There's a reason why it's called classical music, it's because it never gets old.
Well yes, but actually no
Actually it is called classical music because by the time it was written/performed, only people of higher economical class could have access to this kind of music. That happened because there were no means to record sound, so you could only hear it when it was performed live. I used to think that too, though.

No one makes music like this anymore ;(
Let me guess you prefer your generation compare to the current generation
No one today could create such beauty as the masters would craft. In fact, despite i myself am a millennial, Passionately remark Classical music as the Core of my sense of beauty and Inner-peace ever since i was a little boy.
Most of my friends find me boring since they don't find my taste in music exciting. but they don't know what they are missing. I told them such beauty could change your personality and the way you think through life, for Classical music actually stimulates the brain through brain waves. Unlike the music of today, they emit vibrations that moves your way of thinking out of alignment. In a sense creates a personality from the expressed music.
The Masters designed their music to be enjoyed through centuries to come, they created it in such a way that it was beauty itself. Every form of music has a personality and a way of generating life. That is why i always tell my friends "Tell me what your type of music is, and i will tell you who you are"
and Smetana?
Interesting. Most of my friends (including me) are rock fans, but we also enjoy classical music greatly (I think you really can't really hate classical music). I wouldn't say people don't make music of this quality anymore, it's just much more different and maybe harder to get into. Just don't compare the two things, it's like comparing water to fire.
Music is in the ear of the listener

I am 35 years old and have only recently started listening to classical music. I have always mainly listened to pop music from the 60's, 70's and 80's, never paying much attention to other genres of music. After listening to the music of composers like Bach, Beethoven and Tchaikovsky, I am only now starting to recognize and appreciate the musical genius behind works such as this, and I'm looking forward to discovering more music like this, thanks to RUclips making that so easy to do.
dude, you should definetly try folk metal
Try Vivaldi
@@ghislainearvik3896 thanks, I will.
This music touches heart & soul , it’s not age related

I spend my time to work and relax
It just feels so different listening to classical music, I don't understand why some people say it's weird.
I agree. It is very calming.
I agree too
It calms me down. I get alot done when I listen to classical music.
I used to hate classical music as a teenager, it made me clench my teeth. I think it was a subconscious reaction to all the emotion in it. Now I absolutely adore it, much to my surprise.
Agree!
Imagine how proud Beethoven and the others are up in heaven that their music is a hit even in Modern times! 😇
it puts the hood in the hood bro
I am not so sure about them being proud

Modern times have ended, we are in the Post-Modern era now. Only makes your point that much more impactful.
This was so overwhelming it made me cry. How can a mere mortal create something so powerfully beautiful.
Mere mortal????
@@kaylachatman7591 are you immortal lol
L loser
It already existed
They were not mortals they were aliens.
Listening to this music while in a building which was built in the 18th century feels nostalgic and magical , sitting in the lounge with a fire place looking at a picture from the early 1960s in a cold winter in Australia while Christmas is a few days time. The lounge with two beautiful Christmas trees
To be honest, I cannot believe how beautiful this piece of art is
Which piece? There’s like 35 songs in this video.
wich one ? ... my favorite.- Ode to joy , Beethoven
@@wyattownby2886 Summer by Vivaldi
@@wyattownby2886 lol not a single song, actually. While all songs are compositions, only a narrow slice of compositions can be called songs - ones with words but not associated with opera - are called "songs". (or lieder, or chansons.....) - although you might wish to check out Mendelsson's Songs Without Words, which is an AMAZING work of art and one of my all-time favs.
@@altareggo Nice, I will check that out then. I’ve been listening to this type of music more lately especially Frédéric Chopin.
This music got me through 5 years of college! I have my bachelors in Finance now!! thank you for the music!
no thats just incredible
God bless you with BS degree. Nothing like classical to fill the hole in the soul!!
Jeff I'm not a jealous hater. Perhaps a Bachelor of Finance instead of BS which came out wrong. Have a wonderful day.
