You think Maggie May is slow today...come over for coffee...IM SLOW!!! ; ) You are easily my favourite guitar teacher. Thank you kindly from the great nation of Canada. You make a difference.
Wow, thank you for the walk down in this lesson. I have been playing for 4 years and must have heard someone playing Travis style cause one day I just started picking songs the way you just taught this lesson. There’s not anyone to teach guitar lesson in a 50 mile radius but have always figured being taught over the internet just won’t work but I learn the walk down instantly. I would love to know picking a walk down from the G, Em, A, Am, and maybe a few others. I will be looking you up for more lessons. Thank you so very much.
Thanks for this one. I love John Denver songs, and the Travis picking style goes a long way …many great songs use this pattern. Thanks too for including the lyrics onscreen with the chords. Really helps with learning. 👍
Haven’t finger picked since I’ve been learning chords and dabbling on electric and this lesson made me realize I need to get back to picking … sounds so good. Thanks for posting!!
Great. Thanks very much for that. I found travis picking too much but with practise I can now do this simpler version. I don't know if you are familiar with Ralph McTell in the US but as I was trying to play this I was recognising Streets of London (was brought out in 1969 but people still playing it today) if you get this down, just with the addition of a G7 and and Am and no walk down, its very similar and the picking pattern works really well. another great tune with a great story. Two songs here for the price of one.
Thank you for easing my mind on the dreaded F chord. I thought it was just me Great lesson thank you love from Canada. What do you mean by You-tube will claim it? Hello to Wife great camera work!
You should tell your audience that you do not have to make the standard conventional dreaded F cord because you can make it the way John Denver Paul Simon other people Gordon Lightfoot make a F major seventh and use your thumb to hook it around and play the low E string
Will I be able to download entire songs with membership. I’ve learned some parts of songs from your videos. But I’m not really playing the entire song from beginning to end. Love your videos and teaching!
Yes, the lessons in the member's area are complete and include tablature. I also do play throughs/ play alongs while singing to give a better idea of the end result. You can learn all about the membership option here www.relaxandlearnguitar.com/membership-subscribers/
The picture you are using is not John Denver. It is a tribute artist who I will not mention his name as it will only bring attention to him. Please find a real picture of JD.

Vickie is great. She is your great backup. 20 feet from stardom.
She’s amazing. Could not do this without her. Thanks for watching!

Absolutely if it sounds good it is good :)
Very nice!

Sometimes copyright claims prevent singing the melody of the song

Should the thumb not be sticking out much more forward. More in front of the pointing finger??
Whatever feels most comfortable and sounds good is. a good "rule of thumb" no pun intended....
For me it’s about positing the thumb in such a way as to avoid hitting other strings.

Please fix the image of John to Actually John.
I actually did not realize that detail. Notes and thanks for heads up
Yes, that fake photo is terrible .
That is not John Denver in the photo, he is a tribute artist named Ted Vigil.
Really! Wow. Did not know that. Thank ls for the heads up
