Hey Eric, really interesting vid. I had not thought about this idea but I could see these movies being connected. Not to bring Marvel into the discussion, but I can recall a time early on after the first Ironman when people wondered if Thor would work within the grounded world established by Ironman. Now years later, we do not even question it. So connecting different movie worlds can work. TDKR was already leaning a little more into a bigger universe simply with the hint of an incarnation of Robin /Batman. Headcanon is such a nice starting point for fun discussion, good stuff man. I do think Affleck picking up on some of that history would be a cool take.
Hey Anthony thanks so much for checking it out I’m glad it was interesting! Yea that’s very true of Iron Man, I definitely was wondering how that would work before I saw Avengers haha. I just feel like the DCEU if anything, despite saying otherwise, has invited us basically to consider The Dark Knight Trilogy canon if we so choose, since so far at least, it seems to have gone out of its way to not outright contradict it’s continuity. I know some may point to the fact that Bale’s Batman would never kill but I’m assuming that would have been the case with Affleck’s as well had we seen him pre-Robin’s death. If anything I think because the Nolan films presented the most altruistic version of the character that we’ve seen on screen to date that would make his fall from grace in BvS and eventual redemption in Justice League all the more tragic but in the end satisfying.
Nice vid! Rather you're a bale fan or an Affleck fan, there is no denying that they both have some of the greatest superhero action in the last 15 years.
Agreed! Personally Bale is my fav (for live action at least, I won’t deny Kevin Conroy IS Batman) but Affleck is a close second for me! I just can’t help but feel the Dark Knight Trilogy could have been the perfect starting point for the DCEU because of Batman being the most popular DC character and just how perfect they got Batman in those movies! Thanks for watching and commenting! :D

Yo! I got where you’re coming from, Eric! To be honest this “canon” makes sense with or without confirmation from the studio heads lol
Hey Jon I’m glad you agree with me! I feel like The Dark Knight Trilogy is just the background we need for the DCEU’s Batman! :D
sonic 2 is gonna be amazing and its not just for kids
What does that have to do with this Batman video? 🤣
